Conclusion/TL;DR at bottom.
As they say: "It's food, it's fast, it's fun." This slogan is exactly correct.
But for the purposes of this review, I am going to switch things up a little bit.
------------------------
First about the fun...
If you are going here with kids, they will have an absolute blast! Unfortunately, I am too old to get as excited about things are awesome as this. If I were 13, I would probably give this place a much higher rating. More on this later...
So, you or your party are given a tablet. You choose what you want to order in the tablet, place it on the table, and the order is submitted to the kitchen. When your food is ready, it is sent by a complex system of roller-coaster style rails to your table. Tables are suited for large parties, and while I am uncertain, I think that in some events you'd be sharing a table with other people.
Some tables also have these big red buttons, apparently some sort of game where you can win movie tickets. But, the explanation offered in English was not great, I still don't know how to play.
It is just cool to watch a robot arm grab your food, place it on a rail, and send it your way. It is similar to seeing a waiter coming out with food, only knowing it is for you. For this purpose, lights above your table and along the tracks illuminate telling you your food is coming, and which way it is coming.
I was here when it was near dead. If the restaurant was crowded, and the dishes were flying everywhere, it may have been cooler.
They also occasionally have the blinds closed, play music a little bit louder, and put on a light show with the LED strips. Not only that, the robots that send the plates do a little bit of a dance. This is something that kids would enjoy, but if you are trying to enjoy a meal, and all this starts dancing and flashing and playing, it may not be the most pleasant experience.
---------------------
Food here is good. It is not spectacular, it is not mediocre, it is just good.
I had the schnitzel strips (come with fries).
Fries that came were good. They were fried if not fresh than very recently, and appropriately seasoned.
Strips were a little tough and were lacking vegetable elements. (one tomato wedge and one leaf of lettuce does not count as vegetable) I liked that some of them had one type of breading, and another had a different type of breading, a little variety never hurt anyone.
Strips felt a little bit like they were under the lamp (for a little bit). Since they claim that the food is made to order, I believe that it is a matter of the covered pots they send it down in having the same effect as a heat lamp.
For dessert, I had the brownie (came with ice cream). Way overpriced, the brownie was just chocolate cake, and was disproportionate to amount of ice cream. Espresso was good though, but it came a little after the bronze and ice cream.
----------------
Fast: in other words, service:
Service (humans) were nice. Food came out pretty fast, but I am not sure if that is because the kitchen was efficient, or because the restaurant was nearly dead.
Overpriced, but that is the price you pay for a restaurant in the middle of the Prater, as well as one that had to maintain the roller coaster system. As well, because having that system that will attract people, they can charge that much without issue. Supply and Demand.
-------------
TL;DR/Conclusion:
1. Food is good, not the best nor the worst; food alone is overpriced
2. Robot/Roller-coaster system is really cool, and dances to loud music. Not the greatest place for a meal in peace.
3. Human service is nice
Conclusion: While the food was not the best, and the place is overpriced, I want to come back, because the child still in me wants, once again to see food flying across the restaurant to my table. read more
