This place is hideous! Compared to every other single skating rink I've been to, this rink is filthy. The place is filled with children constantly falling and for that reason the safety rules are off the scale. They won't allow you to do tricks, they threaten to kick you out if you jump and spin to many times, and they target certain people! Me and my friend are both of different ethnicities than the general public. Staff seem to be directed towards us rather then our other friend who is white AND hit the same tricks and us. Aside from my allegations, the food is simply horrendous and overpriced. Everything hot is premade and is just heated up when you order. Many if not all times I've had their pizza it is greasy, salty, and sometimes undercooked. Let alone their, slushies are almost 5 dollars just for a small maybe 4 inch tall cup. Since we're on the topic of overpriced, I can bring their arcade into the conversation. You wont even realize how much you spent and how much you play until you finally run out of credits. The exchange from points to items is crazy! A box of Mike & Ikes are 600 points which takes a lot of money to get. I have been attending nights here as a regular for many years but over those years its been incredibly difficult to put up with the changes. Recently, they've cut off about 1/8 of the skating floor to move their new attractions to that area. You may not be able to visualize it but a eighth of the rink gone makes the rink much smaller than it already was. Not to mention the terrible flooring. It is uneven and bumpy compared to a rink like Erdu, which has smooth, waxy, flat, floors. (Erdu also has better music, this place plays corny and old pop) Don't go to this place, save your money, time, and sanity. Edit: They kicked us all out! Skating is fun. Zap zone itself is on the expensive side. They only offer one size drink for 5 dollars no refills. Pizza is ok but again pricey for wanting to fill the place up on a Friday. Defiantly a check out but you go once you're good. They could do way better. read more

I think this place is pretty awesome. I moved here from California and I'm happy we have such a cool place to take our children and have parties. It isn't cheap I agree with that. But it seems to be well kept and the roller skating roller blading is fun to watch. The pizza looks pretty good haven't tried it yet. With so much snow and weather it's nice to take the kids to get some indoor activities done. We love it! Btw it's been open for 50 years! read more

Took my kids and grandkids there today. We had a great time but the prices are very steep and the young man in the skate rental booth was horribly rude. I'll go back but will definitely lower my expectations of acceptable customer service. Or wait till he is on vacation. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to go rollerskating. We walk in and find out that if you are under 18 you have to be with someone 21 or older to do anything in the building. My boyfriend is 18 and I'm 17. It's literally a laser tag and rollerskating your clientele ARE minors. read more

So there's a new rule that says that if you are under 18 you need an adult at least 21 to supervise you, absolute garbage when you're 15-17. But then added on if you are 18 but you're friends are 17. You still need an adult age 21. Absolutely garbage that is. We are are like 17-19 and we can't all go together because none of us are 21? Total joke!! This place ripped me off. I came with my son this summer who decided only to play in the play area after I paid for him to skate and play. I told the cashier what happened and she said told me just bring the skate bracket back next time you come and use it then. So the next time I come and I explained what happened the manager told me she would never train anyone to say that and and if I did want a refund I needed to get it the same day. The manager continued to berate me telling me people make copies of tw brackets all the time. I have never been treated so rudely over a $10 skate ticket. When I was in elementary and middle school, this place was the best. I went every single weekend to the point the store manager knew who my family and I were. They even had a little practice area for those who weren't comfortable with skating yet. I loved it. Now it's just a big mess; bumper cars, a playscape, an arcade, laser tag, AND a rollerskating rink?? Ugh. Way too crowded and not enough lockers / seats. This doesn't even attract teenagers/young adults like it used to, it's suitable for young children and their parents. They don't keep the lights off on the weekends anymore, nor do they have the speed skate. What happened to those nights?? They turn the lights off for like 5 songs while they blast disgusting smelling fog at you nowadays. It's just not like it used to be. I will forever miss those galactic painted walls with the aliens on them...bittersweet nostalgia. read more

This place is a rip off. I paid so much for just a drink. spend $5 bucks on a small but gotta get a water bc it's a $5 dollar limit on the card. The hell I want a water? I just want a soda. I do not understand the negative reviews of this facility. I moved back to Brighton last fall and I go the facility 3 times per month. I don't have a single complaint. The staff has been courteous, when people have fallen a staff member checks on them every time to make sure they are okay, they assist families urgently, and they always accommodate minor requests. On top of all this, the price is very reasonable. People are willing to spend $50 after food at a Movie theatre and then complain about $12 bucks at the arena. These facilities are not cheap to maintain. I highly recommend this facility and have nothing but a positive experience every time! Awesome place to take your family! read more

I grew up skating at this rink. I moved away 20 years ago and it is the standard that I hold other rinks to and few of them measure up. I returned today with my kids and it lives up to my memories. It is a spacious rink with other activities for no -skaters (these are new since I was a kid). But it is all about the rink, which is smooth and well maintained. Staff and patrons were all very friendly. Concessions and rentals are a bit pricey, but I am willing to pay extra for a great skating surface. Keep up the great work, Rollerama. Staff was rude, unhelpful, clearly don't like their jobs. We stated that it was someone's birthday and the front desk said "it's always someone's birthday here...". The man running the Zap Zone was bored, didn't really care to help. Overall not a great experience. Need a more happy, upbeat, accommodating staff. read more

Went there 12/2016. There's a very fast slide in the playscape section that you can't see the bottom of when sitting at the top. My daughter was crashed into. There is not a staff member letting people know when the next person should go. This is very dangerous. FYI - There is not a governing body that makes sure playscapes like this are safe. It's a fun place to go, my daughter always has a blast. But the prices are outrageous. $8.00 admission and $4.00 skate rental, $12 dollars for my daughter to skate is absolutely insane!!!! $3.00 for a pop and $1.00 for a side of cheese. I was going to have her birthday party here but changed my mind when I saw the price for the birthday parties. I can have a pool party for her for more than half of the price. Used to skate here as a kid. Decided to take or family of 4 here - 2 adults, 2 tweens. Cost $8.50 per person + $4 per person to rent skates. We thought this would be a cheap fun night out. We spent $50 just to skate, then another $23 on snacks. Only music they played was rap. Unfortunately we will not be back. read more

Took my 9 year old daughter to the open skate Friday night. Horrible. I could not believe my eyes or ears. I saw 2 physical fights between girls. Punches being thrown and landed. One of which "security" had to break up. Not a single person involved were made to leave so of course another fight broke out between the crowds less than 15 minutes later. The language the kids use is horrific F*ck this f*ck that..young girls (11-13) pulling their shirts up showing groups of boys their bras. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY PLACE. Kids are dropped off by the car loads and not a single parent stays to watch their kids. Kids need freedoms but this is not the place to leave a child unsupervised. Not a single employee in this establishment has your child's well-being at heart. read more

i used to love to go here when i was a kid. i would wait all week for the weekend all night skate they were so much fun. they don't allow skates with stopper they make black marks on the floor. they have a snack bar at skate rentals. its in Brighton but it's in between Brighton and howell. it's alot of fun for young kids, read more

Went here for the first time for a school Rollerama night. Normally I dread skating places to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised to the point I wanted to leave a review! The biggest thing I wanted to say to the management was thank you for not blaring the music so loud during the evening. I was actually able to converse with my children and other parents without screaming. Yet the music was still plenty loud to make it fun! The staff was helpful and there is lots of great space to lounge in. read more

Cool place- absolutely terrible service . Paid $9 per kid to go on play area and something "broke" ten minutes in so the kids had to leave.
