It's located on the shores of Belleville lake. It features lakeside boardwalk, picnic pavilion and wonderful lake views. There is fishing pier and public docks to launch Canoes/kayaks. It's a very nice setting beside the lake with benches and picnic tables. It was nice relaxing to walk down to the fishing deck. There were only few people so we were able to walk around freely. We searched out a nearby park to cap off our weekend visit to Belleville for the Thunder over Michigan Air Show, and this was a PERFECT spot, and walking distance to downtown, along with various bars/restaurants. This side of town seems to be older, more relaxed, while everything we had seen earlier in the weekend (off of the "main drag" Belleville Rd.) was more rushed, with plenty of chain restaurants that we wanted to avoid. The slow, relaxed walk along the water's edge of just a small portion of this wonderful town park did wonders to repair our (my) frazzled Air Show nerves, and to give us more of a real taste of this lovely area. Well kept-up, clean, nice walkways, benches and picnic tables, and a sunset that just can't be beat!! Hope to return again one day SOON!!!

Me and my girlfriend were impressed here. I love the ocean and the city view. You must visit in the summertime. You will get a better taste and vibe of the park. The investment really shows -- from the roads and landscaping to the public spaces along the water. It's one of the best places in Detroit to relax, walk, or ride, and the bike paths are perfect whether you're on a regular bike, e-bike, scooter, or just cruising around the island. The views of the Detroit River and skyline make it feel like a completely different environment from the city only minutes away.

I'd give it five stars if Dearborn didn't get all rude and uptight about the way they run their parks.

Beautifully wooded with an easy walk, a piece of nature in easy driving distance of Detroit and…read morewestern suburbs, you could forget that you were in a metro area except for the noise of the traffic on I-696 which was still noisy even with a pandemic keeping most people lock in their homes. Small parking lot that you can see once you crossover 696 on Farmington Rd. Before you get to the main trail you pass the restrooms which is not modern at all. Didn't know you could have something that is closer to the outhouses of my rural southern Ohio childhood than normal gas station ones you find up here. Trails are mostly dirt with some wood chips so think ahead before you try to hike after a night of heavy rain. A few other hikers learned the hard way that expensive tennis shoes wont be as nice if you go too far. I had my Keds on but not your grandmother's Keds but water proof ankle high boots Keds. Besides a few slides on a hill, worked wonderful walking thru wet parts. Enough benches and trail markers to let you rest and not get lost, it is a good way to spend an hour or two. I didn't get all the way back to the pond due to the heavy rain night before, I managed to spend an hour enjoying here and remembering the woods I played in as a child. If you have children, get them off their games and out into the sun. Take them to a place they can get dirty and see bugs and butterflies upclose and personal. Just don't let them wear their good shoes or jeans like the mother I saw coming back to the parking lot with muddy kids.
