The greatest place to see cass lake! A spot for kayaking, boats, swimming, dogs, lounging. There are even areas you can rent out for a party or family picnic! They are always improving adding more lights, pathways, very accessible.

I'm here to Relax time on water, eat drink and swim in shallow Sandy areas.

I'm sure all my pictures explain it all. A very nice park on Cass Lake to launch a boat with 3 launchers areas. Lots of parking in different areas, Unisex bathrooms, gross. Lake is Well maintained by police officers on the water checking ID, in which they pull you over if they think you're underage drinking your radios are too loud or your speeding too fast on the waters but well maintained by Authority. As in my pictures a lot of people party connect their boats near the Sandy shallow areas to walk and talk on the water, drink play Frisbee, dogs are in the water, swim or float on rafts to nap and cool off in cold water on the Lake. and yes people do their business in the water, gross unfortunately but I did not swim. The cold water to touch so I put my feet in at back of the 27ft boat. Stayed on the boat in and out of the Sun and people watching. There are nice areas also just to fish at this park for bluegill or Bass. the areas to fish are more crystal clear water and deeper. We saw 7 pontoon boats connected together with loud music, heavy drinking and hookah smokers which to me was not my taste in party time. So if you know people on the lake you connect with your friends have a nice safe time if not then there's other areas just to enjoy to water ski, parasail, jet ski and a beach to swim, park has 3 different areas, to have picnics or reunions with but you have to have a pass to get in or pay to get in for the day. As I said a friend has a boat, and he lives off of Huron Road in Waterford so we went and enjoyed ourselves on his boat and got to see a change of scenery in his City and the area where he enjoys boating 2 miles away.

We kayaked from Marsh bank to Dodge park

It's a great place to chill, bbq, tan, have a birthday party. It's convenient because it down the street from me 15-20 min drive. But we decided to kayak from Marsh bank to Dodge Park. It was awesome going. But when we left the current around 5pm was a little rough. The boats and jet ski were coming and going which made us feel we weren't going anywhere. Over all park is clean and great for family with children. We love it!!

Amazing park and had a huge sandy beach for the dogs. Plenty of parking as well. Workers were extremely helpful.

We visited on Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. Lots of picnic tables, a sandy beach, and the remodeled boat launch is very nice.

Such a great spot! Came here on a Sunday as a family and friend meetup. We had ages ranging from…read moretoddler to teenager and adult. To enter the metro park it is $10/car. The splash pad cost an $8/person but allows in and out entry and was nice for the kiddos. The playground was pretty small-kid focused. Lots of beach sand and grassy area. The concessions and Kona ice were also a nice convenience on this hot summer day. Love that the restrooms had warm showers, toilets, sinks and a person cleaning during the peak busy hours. Only thing we wished was that there was a basketball court nearby for the teen and adults to play.

There are bathrooms, showers, and changing stalls. Keep in mind the changing stalls are not large…read more There's a lot of beach/sand. Water has a sandy bottom, not rocky. Water isn't clear, plenty of seaweed/algae both in the water and floating on top. That didn't stop us but definitely have enjoyed better beaches. The main attraction is the splash pad with water slides. It's fenced in but if you have wristband you can come and go. You must be 42" to ride the slides. When we went they had green wristbands for 42"+ and white bands for those under 42". It was $7 for 42" and $6 for under. Super reasonable. There were signs with rules but nobody followed them. There were 1-2 slide attendants at a time and the rules stated no jewelry or goggles but I saw so many people (adults and kids) with both. People went down the slides with sunglasses and cell phones too so nobody really cared, but they did do a great job of making sure people at the top of the slides didn't go down until the people at the bottom were done. At one point we saw a bunch of the teenage employees standing by 2 preteen boys and then a serious looking manager guy walked over and the boys confessed they were cussing. Not sure the before/after of that, but I'm glad it was dealt with. I didn't witness it but saw so many young kids standing in the slide line without an adult that I wouldn't want them hearing inappropriate stuff. **The tube slide goes way faster than the other one. There's one line on the staircase and then at the top splits off for which slide you want to go down and sometimes there wasn't a line at all for the non-tube slide. It would ideal for first-timers, or those that don't want to go fast. Coolers/food is allowed at the splash pad as long as you're sitting at a table while eating, which was so helpful for us. There's also a concession stand for beach goers with a lot of typical convenience options and I thought the prices were reasonable for beach food. $3.25 for soft service ice cream, for example.

It's open for swimming Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day with Lifeguards on duty from 8am to dusk. Last year they installed a new paved walking trail that goes around the lake. It's so much nicer than the old gravel pathway! It's approximately 1 mile around Carter Lake and it's perfect for getting your steps in. However, dogs are not allowed in the park even if they are on a leash during Memorial Day to Labor Day. During off season you can bring your dog on a leash to walk if you choose. Another strict rule to note is that no floatation devices are allowed in the water for swimming. It's a popular spot to go shoreline fishing and there's a fishing dock along with canoe, Kayak and paddle board rental. In addition, there are sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, barbecue grills, a concession stand, and a play structure. You could easily spend the whole day here and never get bored. It basically has all the same amenities that Stoney Creek offers but smaller. It cost $5 per day if you're a Rochester Hills resident or $10 for a non resident Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday a few dollars more $8 for resident and $15 for a non resident). You also can buy a season pass which i do every year. The season pass gets you into Bloomer Park as well. I highly recommend this local park to anyone who loves nature and the outdoors. Great for all ages and especially families!
