Hamim Absolutely amazing help me with my service. Highly recommend Roll roll roll

Hamim is absolutely amazing. Had a wonderful experience at the sushi place. The service here is absolutely amazing in the vibe Here is great.

Udon and Salmon Avocado Roll
Eugene A.

I've been patronizing Roll Roll Roll for nearly 3 years. They're my go-to place for some quick yet tasty Japanese food in KTown. The restaurant has enough space and seating for individuals and groups! I usually come during lunch and service is pretty decent. Today, I ordered an Udon soup and paired with an order of Salmon Avocado roll. They now offer self-order kiosks for an easier way of ordering. You may also opt to call them in advance for pick up at (213) 922-0000. My order was ready in 5 minutes and they placed everything neatly on a clean tray. I asked the staff for some soy sauce (they provide low sodium) and ginger. The udon soup had a perfect umami taste, but it had too much udon noodles and sliced tofu for me. The salmon avocado roll tasted very fresh, and I paired it with some soy sauce and ginger. Please note: they have limited options for rice bowls and bento boxes. They specialize on sushi rolls, in which I look forward to trying a variety of rolls on my next meals here.

Stopped in for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised. The bowls were fresh, filling, and nicely balanced -- the grilled salmon was cooked well, and the katsu had a good crunch without being overly greasy. The miso soup was a solid bonus and hit the spot. Ordering was straightforward, portions were generous, and everything came out quickly. The space is casual and clean, more of a fast-casual setup than a sit-down sushi spot, which works well for lunch or an easy dinner. Knocking off one star only because presentation and flavors, while good, didn't quite hit "wow" territory -- but still very solid overall. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area and want something reliable and satisfying.

Ever since they change management it's horrible, the wait time is ridiculous. You place an order on the phone or text and somehow it's not even ready or the cashier says he missed it. During lunch hour they only have one person who has no skills to multi task when he has people placing orders and handing orders is absurd. They don't even have the fresh ready to go sushi anymore..

Seems like the rolls are made to order, at least it was when I visited. Rolls are affordable, tasty, and looks good overall. Good place to have a quick bite. Blossom roll was very fresh and highly recommend if you're avoiding rice.

Solid quality food for the prices. I enjoy visiting often and always get takeout because its more convenient for me. It can get very busy during lunch and dinner hours because they no longer do online and phone orders. There is free garage parking but limited.

Packaged sushi for on-the-go

To those of you looking for a no-frills yet VERY affordable restaurant to get your sushi fix, I would highly give "Roll Roll Roll" a try. And finding a decent sushi place in LA that won't quite burn a hole in your wallet is a more daunting task than you might think. Since I was in the area, I decided to pay a visit here during the afternoon of Sunday 7/28/2024 at around 12:15pm. As far as the location, this place is situated in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles directly on Wilshire Blvd and just a few blocks east of Western Ave. Parking can be a challenge on Wilshire Blvd but there is a dedicated parking lot that offers up to 1 hour of free parking. However, their hours of operation are very generous as they are open 7 days a week from 11:00am to 9:00pm. As I mentioned earlier, the inside of this place is no-frills yet it offers a very sizable dining area for small and large parties. You will notice bright orange-colored walls complete with menus of all their options. They even offer pre-packaged sushi boxes (much like what you'd find at the grocery store) as well as edamame, rice, and other various Japanese appetizers. Best of all, to those watching their sodium level, there is no MSG in any of their food items. Their menu packs in quite a selection including the popular sushi rolls (classic, baked, tempura, and many other varieties). In addition, they offer sashimi, nigiri, bento boxes, salads, Poke bowls, small plates, and appetizers. What really drew me here was the affordability on all of their items as prices here are arguably less than the majority of places in the area. During my visit, I went with the "Chicken Katsu Maki" roll (priced at $3.75 for 6 pieces) and a "Vegas" roll (priced at $8.88). And to those who have not been here yet, for every meal purchase (which I am guessing has a minimum amount to spend), you get a free complimentary miso soup. Ordering time it took for me was roughly 12 minutes. As far as the overall taste, presentation, and consistency of my two rolls, both of them were above average. The fish in my Vegas roll (which had baked salmon, imitation crab meat, deep fried avocados, and eel sauce) was very fresh and didn't have that fishy taste to it. As far as the Chicken Katsu Maki roll, there were very generous amount of chicken as this was a real bargain at under $4. And the miso soup being included in this packaged deal made this lunch experience much less than what you'd spend at a typical fast food place but far superior quality. All in all, "Roll Roll Roll" absolutely exceeded my expectations. Not a five-star experience by any means since it is not top shelf cuts of seafood. But if you're in a hurry, on-the-go, or looking for a low cost option for lunch, dinner, or just a quick snack, I would definitely give them a try. They do offer online ordering and well as phone orders. So with above average customer service, amazingly affordable prices, and decent sushi in the heart of Los Angeles, give Roll Roll Roll a try. My rating, four stars.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 (self-served) Ambiance: 4/5 Portion: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 This place offers great portions for the price, which is hard to beat in this neighborhood. My go-to order is the salmon bento, which comes with miso soup. The food is delicious, and the restaurant is clean. As expected for the area, parking can be a challenge. I recommend this spot if you're looking for a bang-for-your-buck bento box and don't mind the parking situation.

I actually never leave bad reviews but 40 minutes for sushi is insane and for the sushi to fall apart it's more insane. I didn't know there was new management but walking in all the workers seemed lost. After waiting for 35 minutes i looked and saw one of the cooks go to the front of the register grab a menu with gloves and went back to the kitchen and opened the menu, that was unsanitary because he used the same gloves to make the sushi...overall they just didn't know what they were doing that they had to go based of the menu. They offered us drinks and while that was nice it wasn't okay for sushi to take that long. I miss the old management they always had ready to go sushi and would take 10-15 at most with your food. The miso was my favorite and yesterday tasted a bit different. Many of the customers were getting annoyed that their order was taking so long.

I love these signs. Straight lines are things of the past

From the menu options to working directly with Mariah, who patiently answered my hundred questions and was so accommodating with all the little tweaks I made to our order, to the delivery and presentation, everything turned out so wonderfully. And, most importantly, our guests LOVED the food! We went with the Mexican menu, along with some appetizers and the Gochujang tofu. My only regret is that I didn't order more of the tofu! We had a few vegetarians in attendance, but EVERYONE was eating it. My husband and I served ourselves last, so by the time we made it to the buffet, there was barely any left. Honestly, though, I think that says everything about how much our guests loved the food! It just gives us an excuse to host another big party so we can have Bites and Bashes cater again. I truly can't recommend them enough. Everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, and the entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end. JUST WOW! Thank you, Bites and Bashes, for helping make our wedding day so delicious and special! 5 stars isn't enough of a high rating.

Everything was delicious with not a single miss!! Highly recommend them for any level of catering as they created gorgeous displays, had amazing food and an efficient professional setup in our kitchen. Thank you so much for everything!!

We wanted to go with the bossam (pics look so good) but our event was held after lunchtime/light bites so we opted for the taco bar, which was also amazing. Nonstop compliments from friends and family regarding the food. Presentation was just lovely too. Hard to accomplish great taste, price, authenticity, AND presentation but Chubby Fingers rocked it all. Other items ordered that I didn't get good photos of (all was v delicious): - Yuzu tomato salad (so refreshing, wish I could make this at home) - Gochujang glazed veggies - Elote - Japchae P.S. I'm just remembering how wonderful the tacos were, especially the tortilla. Corn and soft, this is NOT your typical grocery store purchase. I think they source it from a legit Latina market. That's what I mean by authenticity. For all our dishes, they got both Korean and Mexican cuisines right. Chubby Fingers brings the real deal.

Best decision for our Reception/Baby Shower! (Incredible value & taste)…read more Chubby Fingers catered our event and it was absolutely wonderful! OMG... as I'm writing this, I'm still craving the food we had that day from Chubby Fingers! After doing multiple tastings with other caterers, we chose them for their generous portions and amazing value at a very competitive price point. Why we chose them: Before choosing them, we actually met with several other caterers and even did tastings to compare our options. What really stood out about Chubby Fingers was how generous and abundant their offerings were at a very similar price point. The value honestly surprised us in the best way. The Experience (Catering Drop-off): We ended up doing a catering drop-off, and even with that setup, you could truly feel the care and thought they put into everything. The presentation was beautiful and everything was packed so nicely -- it still felt very special and intentional. The Food (The highlight of our day!): On the day of the event, the food completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our guests kept complimenting the food throughout the event, and several people even came up to ask where we found the caterer because they wanted the information for their own events. Our Menu Highlights: 1. Chubs Bossam: Slow-roasted caramelized pork shoulder with ssam bar (perilla leaves, lettuce, and samjang). Absolute hit! 2. Japchae: Korean sweet potato glass noodles with mushrooms and vegetables. 3. Gochujang Glazed Veggies: Roasted market vegetables with a subtle, delicious gochujang glaze. 4.Yuzu Tomato Salad: Heirloom tomatoes with greens and a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette (so fresh!). and the White Rice was included! The team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day special. I'm so sad I didn't take more photos, I was so busy hosting and enjoying the event, but the presentation in person looked even better than the photos!) If you're planning an event, do yourself a favor and book Chubby Fingers--you won't regret it! I truly can't recommend them enough if you want to impress your guests!
