Solid quality food for the prices. I enjoy visiting often and always get takeout because its more convenient for me. It can get very busy during lunch and dinner hours because they no longer do online and phone orders. There is free garage parking but limited.

Seems like the rolls are made to order, at least it was when I visited. Rolls are affordable, tasty, and looks good overall. Good place to have a quick bite. Blossom roll was very fresh and highly recommend if you're avoiding rice.

I actually never leave bad reviews but 40 minutes for sushi is insane and for the sushi to fall apart it's more insane. I didn't know there was new management but walking in all the workers seemed lost. After waiting for 35 minutes i looked and saw one of the cooks go to the front of the register grab a menu with gloves and went back to the kitchen and opened the menu, that was unsanitary because he used the same gloves to make the sushi...overall they just didn't know what they were doing that they had to go based of the menu. They offered us drinks and while that was nice it wasn't okay for sushi to take that long. I miss the old management they always had ready to go sushi and would take 10-15 at most with your food. The miso was my favorite and yesterday tasted a bit different. Many of the customers were getting annoyed that their order was taking so long.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 (self-served) Ambiance: 4/5 Portion: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 This place offers great portions for the price, which is hard to beat in this neighborhood. My go-to order is the salmon bento, which comes with miso soup. The food is delicious, and the restaurant is clean. As expected for the area, parking can be a challenge. I recommend this spot if you're looking for a bang-for-your-buck bento box and don't mind the parking situation.

Packaged sushi for on-the-go

To those of you looking for a no-frills yet VERY affordable restaurant to get your sushi fix, I would highly give "Roll Roll Roll" a try. And finding a decent sushi place in LA that won't quite burn a hole in your wallet is a more daunting task than you might think. Since I was in the area, I decided to pay a visit here during the afternoon of Sunday 7/28/2024 at around 12:15pm. As far as the location, this place is situated in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles directly on Wilshire Blvd and just a few blocks east of Western Ave. Parking can be a challenge on Wilshire Blvd but there is a dedicated parking lot that offers up to 1 hour of free parking. However, their hours of operation are very generous as they are open 7 days a week from 11:00am to 9:00pm. As I mentioned earlier, the inside of this place is no-frills yet it offers a very sizable dining area for small and large parties. You will notice bright orange-colored walls complete with menus of all their options. They even offer pre-packaged sushi boxes (much like what you'd find at the grocery store) as well as edamame, rice, and other various Japanese appetizers. Best of all, to those watching their sodium level, there is no MSG in any of their food items. Their menu packs in quite a selection including the popular sushi rolls (classic, baked, tempura, and many other varieties). In addition, they offer sashimi, nigiri, bento boxes, salads, Poke bowls, small plates, and appetizers. What really drew me here was the affordability on all of their items as prices here are arguably less than the majority of places in the area. During my visit, I went with the "Chicken Katsu Maki" roll (priced at $3.75 for 6 pieces) and a "Vegas" roll (priced at $8.88). And to those who have not been here yet, for every meal purchase (which I am guessing has a minimum amount to spend), you get a free complimentary miso soup. Ordering time it took for me was roughly 12 minutes. As far as the overall taste, presentation, and consistency of my two rolls, both of them were above average. The fish in my Vegas roll (which had baked salmon, imitation crab meat, deep fried avocados, and eel sauce) was very fresh and didn't have that fishy taste to it. As far as the Chicken Katsu Maki roll, there were very generous amount of chicken as this was a real bargain at under $4. And the miso soup being included in this packaged deal made this lunch experience much less than what you'd spend at a typical fast food place but far superior quality. All in all, "Roll Roll Roll" absolutely exceeded my expectations. Not a five-star experience by any means since it is not top shelf cuts of seafood. But if you're in a hurry, on-the-go, or looking for a low cost option for lunch, dinner, or just a quick snack, I would definitely give them a try. They do offer online ordering and well as phone orders. So with above average customer service, amazingly affordable prices, and decent sushi in the heart of Los Angeles, give Roll Roll Roll a try. My rating, four stars.

Spicy tuna roll, California roll, baked salmon roll.. free miso soup!

Great place for the price. $20 out the door for 3 rolls and 2 drinks. Good quality fish and fresh. Super friendly staff. Parking is a bit tough, but not impossible. Free miso with every order is nice.

I love these signs. Straight lines are things of the past

Under zero circumstances do I feel like cooking food is happening tonight. My energy is extra low Thank goodness this spot is nearby. Their prices have gone up a little over the years BUT I gotta be honest.. it's not too bad! I am a little sad that the menu changed but I understand. My regular order was a simple one and used to be just over $6: baked salmon roll and avocado roll. Now, the salmon roll is nearly $6 on its own That said, a free miso soup is still included in all orders so it's not too bad. Friday early evening seems to be busy but that makes sense. This spot is always good for an affordable sushi option. I hope they're able to stay around for a while :)

Receipt of order 0172

Order katsu bento, 2 Philly, 2 spicy California, Lion roll, Rainbow roll, Order of egg rolls and asked for 4 miso soups. The bag was wrapped but not double checked piece per piece when handed to me. Seemed like reasonable to size. I'll admit my fault for not checking but orders should be followed to the receipt. Upon getting home I noticed the 2 spicy California rolls missing. Inconvenient of course and most of all disappointing. what am I paying for? This visit today verified what I needed to know.... 2nd time I end up missing a roll or item. Smh.

I'm so happy I found this place when I moved to LA because it's been my go to when I'm craving sushi but don't want anything fancy to break the bank & it hits the spot every single time!! $8.88 for a full roll is UNHEARD of in this economy. I'm a salmon lover so their baked & tempura salmon rolls are a personal fave. Our usual orders: Lion King: all the flavors go so well together especially with the sweet mayo and eel sauce, fresh salmon, and melts in your mouth goodness but I do wish this roll was put together a little better and sturdier. Every time I pick one up with chopsticks, it just falls apart right away. Rich: this one's baked salmon with cream cheese and eel sauce wrapped in deep fried tempura. Also delicious in flavor but the batter is a little too thick that the filling to tempura ratio does become overwhelming sometimes. Philly roll: can't go wrong with $4.95 for this one! Ratio is always right so we always enjoy this. Did I mention miso soup comes with every order too? Unbeatable with price & convenience!

Came here for a quick bite before a show across the street. It's K-Town so street parking or paid garages. No frills & can't beat the reasonable prices for rolls (classics are less than $5, special rolls ~$7) along with free miso soup included with every order. Every part of the restaurant is tidy and items like utensils & condiments are given to you upon request. Do not buss your own tables, staff will do that for you. We came here in the evening so it was either online or counter orders, but apparently during the day there is a grab and go section. Will definitely return.

Food was served warm. Service was really smooth. Over all this place is recommended for family, friends.

Salty but lacks a depth of flavor. - The truffle sushi roll had a prominent truffle flavor (which I enjoyed, but may not be for everyone). Crunch spider roll was a favorite; just a solid classic with soft shell crab (love that an extra piece of crab is included on top of the roll). The fried onions on top of the Tokyo roll were crispy and sweet. Uni was fresh and delicious! I had uni only one time before and had a bad experience (it was incredibly fishy, and now I realize, not fresh). So I was apprehensive at first but I'm glad I gave it a chance because this uni was buttery, smooth, and briny in all the right ways. - Matcha tea was okay, medium profile matcha flavor. Not bad for the value though. Clean and refreshing. -Might be a small thing to point out, but I like how they include lemon slices automatically in the water. Snagging a reservation took some time but was worth the effort. Our meal was an incredible experience--the service, the way each course was presented in such beautiful dishware--the meal was a well-planned journey and one of the best dining experiences we've had. We dined here again in January and it's taken me some time to process this experience and put it in words. The dining room interior has been remodeled since our last visit. The atmosphere helps you focus on being present, being in the moment, being still when each course comes. With excited anticipation you take the lid off of the soup bowl or the staff unveils a dish, so your focus is seeing, smelling, feeling, tasting and enjoying the first bite and all the flavors in the dish before you. What a fun experience! Chef Niki is so creative, thoughtful, deliberate in how she plans her guests' meals. We enjoyed meeting her at the end of our meal and having the opportunity to thank her for the care and attention she gives to all. We look forward to coming here again when we're able to get to L.A.

We have been lucky enough to dine at 1,2 & 3 Star Michelin restaurants around the world and none ever felt close to this level of service. Most of the time in multi-course meals, there's one or two dishes that make me scratch my head and wonder if my palate is just basic and unrefined if I don't enjoy it, but I didn't feel that in any way here. I enjoyed every single course and walked away satisfied and wanting to return to n/naka for the next season's course.

Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!

Found Anju while searching for best group dinner spots in Koreatown Los Angeles and now I completely understand the hype. First off, making the reservation was incredibly easy. Being able to book a large party online without having to jump through hoops was a huge plus. When we arrived, we got seated almost immediately, which for a large group in KTown on a busy night felt impressive. Parking initially confused us a bit because of the plaza setup, but they offer valet and it ended up being super convenient and worth it. The vibe here is awesome. It's technically an outdoor restaurant, but it still feels intimate and lively. Perfect energy for groups, celebrations, birthdays, catching up with friends, or just hanging out over Korean BBQ and soju. Kyle was our server and genuinely made the night. Super attentive, very accommodating with our large party and baby, constantly checking in, pacing the meal well, and just brought great energy to the table all night. Service like that really changes the whole experience. Food-wise, the marinated beef was phenomenal. Easily one of the standout dishes of the night. So flavorful, tender, and the kind of dish everyone keeps reaching back for. We also ordered an octopus and pork dish that completely blew me away. Probably one of my favorite bites I've had in LA in a while. The asado-style platter wasn't my personal favorite compared to the marinated meats, but it still came with a generous amount and was great for sharing with a large table. We ordered a ton of food, beers, soju, shared plates, and left absolutely stuffed. Considering the amount of food, drinks, and the size of our party, we all felt like the value was really solid. Dessert is definitely more simple and traditional, so don't come expecting some massive dessert menu, but honestly the focus here is the food, drinks, atmosphere, and group dining experience. Overall, this is one of the best large group restaurants in Koreatown if you want great Korean food, strong service, fun social atmosphere, and a place that actually handles big parties well.
