Ordered through Postmates and the meal and delivery experience was extremely disappointing. Food took an hour and forty minutes to arrive and when it did everything was cold to lukewarm. Sushi was mediocre didn't match the pictures and was lacking in the listed ingredients on both rolls. Ordered yakisoba and it was extremely bland with very little chicken. Teriyaki chicken lacked sauce. No dressing for the salad. Didn't include soup that was part of the order. No wasabi provided. Had eaten in the restaurant once before a couple years back and was underwhelmed but chalked it up to an off day for them. But two terrible meals is enough for me, I'm done with this place. I placed an order through Yelp that was picked by grub hub. When my order arrived, one of my items was missing even though the ticket from the restaurant had my entire order correct. My wife and I came here in date night. She is a sushi lover so I wanted to treat her. Very small place and was crowded which is ok, that tell me the food is good when people are in the restaurant. We had problems with the wait staff. We saw an empty table however we stood around ten minutes in order the them to seat us. After we ordered our food. They literally walked passed us a few times for our drinks to my wife had to get up and ask the counter for drinks and other things we needed. Since we live really close to Roll Roll, we decided to give this place a try. When we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces and open arms. We ordered the following: - Green Tea Iced Tea ($2): the dark emerald green tea was refreshing and tasty. After drinking it, I felt like a million bucks. I've been to Japanese places where the iced green tea hardly looks green. - Shishito Peppers ($6): so good, it was sautéed with garlic, little bit of soy sauce with flavorful bonito flakes on top. It was not spicy at all. - Mixxed Tempura ($6): lots of good size vegetables and shrimp. It had asparagus, pumpkin, broccoli, onion, pumpkin and 2 good size pieces of shrimp. For $6, you can't beat that!!! - Yellow Crunch Tuna roll ($6) It had spicy tuna, tempura flakes, with yellow soy paper. The crunch roll with shrimp tempura was underwhelming and bland. The beef teriyaki was sooooo tough I literally could not chew the meat (my husband too!), we had to throw it out. I love this place. The sushi ranges from $5-$14 which is a great price. The food is always good quality and amazing taste. They served our miso soup before the meal and it was steaming hot. The popcorn shrimp roll was also hot when it arrived. The rest were cold but I like it that way and that's how sushi usually is. Overall a great experience and when we spilled the water the servers were quick to clean it up and apologize. The service was amazing. I would definitely come again. Placed a phone order and went to pick it up. Sushi was so fresh, but tiny rolls. I got spicy California roll and Super Baked salmon. Both came with 8 rolls and came out to 17$. Both tastes delicious yummy. Only thing I didn't like was I had to go back and ask for spicy Mayo and eel sauce. Both containers are filled with such a tiny amount. For 16 rolls I had to get a at least 2 containers each and they seemed bothered about it. Thank goodness I checked before I drove off with plain sushi rolls and no sauce. read more

I have ordered from this spot about 5 times, they are pretty good and they fill orders in a timely manner, however, they don't follow directions. Each time I've ordered the yellowtail sashimi, I ask for it to be sliced extra thin. That's it. That's the only direction. I've even called (after I place the order on Postmates with a note) to make sure they slice it thin. It's never sliced thin!! Other than that, they are fairly good. They are always amazing all the way around -- pricing is phenomenal, the food is excellent (far better the man other places of equal price), and they have lovely customer service. Found this place in yelp and because the goods reviews and high rating, me, my husband and daughter went there to have dinner on a Friday night. The place was not too big but it is clean and we were greeted with smiling, friendly face of the owner and helper :) The moment we sat down we got free miso soup right away. We ordered, Seafood Pasta ($10) which is very delicious and lots of seafoods in it! We also ordered spicy tuna roll ($3.00), crab roll ($3.00), Spicy tempura roll ($6.00) and Udon soup ($5.00). The quality of their food are good and sushi are fresh and prices are reasonable too!! We even got 3 free green tea ice cream served to us by the owner himself. When it was time to pay we noticed that there isn't any extra line to add the tip on their receipt so my husband decided to just write it down at the bottom but when the owner saw him he told him "Don't add tip to your total bill, no need, it's okay...just come back to us next time" (with a sweet and friendly smiling face) Isn't he so nice?? But oh well, as soon as he walked away we still left some cash for their very good customer service! :) Me & my family will definitely come back! Chef Sang Kyu Shin is a wonderful chef and if you have yet to experience his very reasonable menu, you should really give him a shot! Upon opening the tri-fold menu you're presented with a three tiered options $3-basic roll, $6-premium roll, $10-special roll. Each section has 18 options per tier and if you go with the $10 teir you get a stamp book which allows you to eat your way to a free $10 item! There is regular sushi, limited but you get three pcs per $5 where most places charge a little bit more and give you a little less (2pcs). THE GOOD PEOPLE OF YELP HAVE SPOKEN. After reading all the extremely positive reviews, I had to go check this place out for myself. I couldn't believe such a great place had been under my nose the entire time. I came earlier today (a Friday) and found the place pretty easily - it's on the corner of Corbin and Ventura. It has a miserably small parking lot, considering there are two restaurants and a liquor store, but I was able to score parking right in front. The "outdoor seating area" is two tables out front. I'm not big on sitting outside, so I headed inside. There were a dozen tables max and a decent amount of people. I probably won't be dining in anymore - I usually don't - but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. Yes, service is a little slow and the waiters won't check up on you every 10 minutes unless you physically flag them down. Big deal. I'm fine with that. I checked out their paper menu and the prices are indeed as wonderful as everyone else says they are. $3 for basic rolls that aren't all that basic, $6-$10 for more complex rolls. They don't use much rice. Crispy Rice (one of my faves to order anywhere!) is four pieces, $6, and can be made with tuna, salmon, albacore or crab. I picked albacore, because yum. Smelt egg, soy paper or brown rice is $1 additional, but I think adding avocado is only 50 cents more. I also ordered the spicy salmon roll, the spicy salmon/crab roll and the spicy scallop roll. Their idea of spicy is a solid 6.5 out of 10. Mildly noticeable, but not traumatic. Fine by me. Hot tea was $2. And, yes, there's free miso soup. i will be back, of course. There's so much of the menu I have yet to try that intrigues me. I'll call ahead and order takeout, which I noticed a lot of other customers did. Great prices for what you're ordering. I would give a 4.5 if that was an option. It's an extremely affordable restaurant with fish that tastes fresh. My sister and I are salmon fiends so we ordered several selections featuring this catch along with other sea food. We first ordered the spicy salmon off their basic menu ($4) and were unimpressed by the presentation. It just fell apart and wasn't very filled. Fortunately, the entrees got better and better. Ordering off the special rolls ($11), the fire cracker and baked salmon roll were more filling. We also ordered the salmon lover off the $7 menu. That was the best bang for our buck. The service was extremely friendly and attentive even though she was the only one manning the floor. There is parking at the front but I can imagine it gets harder at night.
