The energy was high, the crowd was into it, and the overall atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. The rink itself was smooth, and the lighting added to the excitement of the night. My only critique for Sunday evenings would be to let the songs play out fully instead of using mixes. It would really enhance the experience to vibe to the full track rather than jumping between different beats. Other than that, everything was on point. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

They have made some fantastic improvements. I remember we skated at our own risk of falling. They have skating aids to assist new skaters now. The gaming area is the corner. The food court has your typical skate rink food. I dove into the nachos and topped it off with some pink lemonade. They have hot dogs, chips, pickles, candy...just put it this way...they have choices! The tunes blasting from speakers will keep your groove going throughout day and night. They play a great variety of steady beats. There were a few pro skaters mingled in the crowd. Watching the pro skaters is so cool and fun. They have an area dedicated for parties or large groups. They have a few arcade games in one corner. If the kids want the little toys from the toy section, they'll love it.

A movie theater, laser tag, an arcade, billiards, a bar, and even a Chinese restaurant! Hopefully I didn't leave anything out. We tried the billiards first, but all the per game cheap tables were taken. Only the per hour ones were avail and more than we wanted to pay. Plus the mostly male patrons did not make us feel welcome from the looks we got so we moved onto the arcade. You have to buy a card to play the games and the machine was confusing, even with asking a couple people buying one. Of course there wasn't an employee anywhere inside to ask for assistance, but we finally figured it out. Unless you want to play shoot em up games, most of what they have is for kids, incl a very short whack a mole game. We did play a pinball game that frequently shouted, well that's a real cow pie shot, or something to that effect! Unlike some other reviews, I thought the whole place seemed clean and nice. I did not know to expect a mini-disneyland in the middle of nowhere near Roxboro! The pub was good, with kind staff, and a nice fancy burger. I pondered sticking around all night to catch a movie but didn't. But the next time my brother visits I think we might drive on up here for the convenience of it!

Unfortunately, my most recent experience with the rental rollerblades and roller skates was disappointing. On Sunday (8-23-26), my brother and I had to exchange our rentals three times because they were so uncomfortable. The first two pairs of rollerblades I received had front wheels that were badly worn down. You could tell the wheels hadn't been rotated or maintained properly to keep them evenly worn. This caused my ankles and feet to hurt while skating. The third pair of rollerblades ended up causing even more problems and left me with a blister on my foot. I really think the rink needs to update and properly maintain its rental skates and rollerblades. I understand that rental equipment gets a lot of use, but customers should still be able to skate comfortably and safely. I know I'll eventually have to invest in my own skates, but until then, I hope the rink takes a closer look at its rental equipment. On the positive side, the DJ was great, and I still enjoyed being back at a place that holds a lot of childhood memories for me. I just hope the rental equipment gets some much-needed attention.
