Came here to check out the movie theater! There is ample room for parking! The place upon entering has a variety of options for everyone. The concession stand took quite a while for snacks which can be a bit expensive if you are with multiple people. The tavern restaurant and billiards place was a nice time as well. The seats need to be upgraded in the movie theater! Overall willing to go again and explore the other attractions!

Always enjoy the early movies, great selection of current movies, and fresh popcorn. There is something for everyone at Palace Point.

My issue first tis that the staff really seems like they dont want to be there. They are rude and they do not have any communication skills. They had 2 lines when we got there and didnt communicate if one was tickets and 1 was concessions. It looked like 2 likes were open so when the customer in front of me got their items and left I moved up. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes with workers all over and no one coming over to me or asking me to move to the other like all the while the other line is moving and a ton of people behind me got their items before me. After the 5 mins I said something to a worker and they were very rude to me and said there was only 1 line open. I decided not to buy any concessions. The prices are the other issue. You used to get an unlimited refill popcorn bucket for $9 which already is a lot considering it cost them like 10 cents for that amount of popcorn but they aren't profiting enough already so they got rid of the bucket for a bag and now you get 1 refill. It was an annoying and bad experience.

Staff and seating is great I just don't like that you have to put your own butter on your popcorn…read morewhich never gets down far enough!! The prices are high!! For one person who comes in to an early show to save money you're still going to pay 20.00 for a movie and kid's meal...

This was not a misunderstanding, and it was not taken lightly. A public-facing business choosing to include racist humor in its messaging is unacceptable. There is no place for that kind of content in a community venue meant to be welcoming to all. Ending our support is an easy decision, and one we feel fully confident in. We hope ownership understands the seriousness of this choice and takes responsibility for the impact it has on their patrons and the broader community.

Plus I love their concession set up! The Graham is an old movie house smack in the downtown and it looks like much of it is original fixtures are from various decades, which is the charm of the place. The popcorn shoot is my favorite and something I've never seen before in any of the old theaters I've visited. The tix are just $3 for second run movies, so it's a great way to catch up on films. The concessions are a bargain price too. What I love is they let you put on your own butter and you get your drinks yourself too. Plus there's Free refills on the drinks and the popcorn. When you want to refill your popcorn it's from an old popcorn dispensing machine that you have to see and experience. You press a button and it comes out of a shoot warm & tasty! It's like a giant gum ball machine for popcorn. Pretty darn cool! Overall it's always a fun and funky experience and worth the drive!

The building itself, which houses offices on the top floors, an impressive boiler room and a LOVELY art gallery next door {Power Plant Gallery} is open to the public during the day for typical office hours. It IS WORTH IT just to stop in during the day, because the building is AMAZING! Truly one of the MOST spectacular sites to see in Durham, this old power plant has been converted into a fully functioning theater, venue and office space. Besides its use of the theater for special events, it also houses the Full Frame Film Festival offices [a WONDERFUL annual international event dedicated to the theatrical exhibition of nonfiction cinema. The festival takes place from morning to midnight every April, showing 100's! of films, discussions, panels and brings in people from all over the world to experience Durham hospitality at its finest!]. You walk through the front door of the theater, and immediately are located in the old BOILER Room of the power plant: hard to describe because it's just so impressive, but think brick exterior, massive windows, polished concrete floors; contemporary while in a historical setting.
