Firstly, since moving to Ashland every single contractor we have hired (EXCEPT Rogue Valley Roofing) have been great and very good integrity. NOT SO WITH ROGUE VALLEY! First they crazy-overcharged for a tiny deck that needed a decent waterproofing seal. They said only his most expensive product would do the job. Then they left it half done and very sloppy. I was asked to remove that negative review when they came out to "fix it". Well they did NOT fix it. And once the rains started we accrued significant damage and cost to both the outside and the inside of our home including mold damage and total inside ceiling needing repair now (Pix included). The owner told us yesterday in person that they would fix it. Now today he writes saying that he won't. Sadly this is just really bad business and very costly mistakes on their part that is left for us to pick up their improper work. I warn anyone to look around for other options and businesses before moving ahead with Rougue Valley Roofing. They do not stand behind their work and they do not behave professionally. What a mess. They replaced a roof for us. It only took a week once they started on the project. There were no high pressure sales person or padding the quote. There were a few sheets of plywood that needed replacement, and it was still less than other companies I talked to. I would highly recommend them. read more

Buying a new roof is tough. The variables are endless, and you have to be vulnerable to the advice of a stranger. It's a process. Without going in to all the details, I'll say that Rogue valley roofing was extremely professional. Their pricing was competitive, and the owner Robert was willing to hold our hand when we needed it. The foreman Jered was the kindest, most patient person we could have asked for. Their office manager Chris even called us to walk us through a grant we could apply for because of the extra insulation we got. We couldn't be happier with our experience. read more

This year was difficult to find anyone to come give us a bid. We called and they were on it. They did let us know how far out they were and all was good. The crew that came here to install our roof, was awesome! Very professional. Took care of everything. Daily cleaned up. Kept us informed of anything we needed to know. The price was very reasonable. I'm always fascinated by extremely negative online reviews. Some may be deserved. But often, people who have NO CLUE about Life or about how to work with other people "get back exactly what they put out." The other (cranky) reviews of Rogue Valley Roofing look to me like they were written by such people. BECAUSE, we sent in TO Rogue Valley Roofing a detailed Request for Proposal on our job (re-roofing a 38-year old manufactured/double-wide home) and got back from them a superb, clear and detailed plan and estimate. Theirs was the ONLY "professional" response we got from a total of five we'd sent out. Since then, every stage of our re-roofing has been professional, on-time, super-well-organized. And all of this company's staff have been clear, communicative and a delight to work with. The crew was polite, totally "together" and cleaned up our work site spotlessly every single day. Besides the above "process" being professional, timely and workmanlike -- RRR's crew did a wonderful job re-roofing our home: removing TWO layers of leaking old asphalt shingles, removing tattered old tar paper, replacing bad plywood under-panels, COVERING all the original (manufactured/double-wide) 3/8" plywood (flimsy) with new 1/2" treated CDX, then using peel'n'stick MEMBRANE atop the entire (shallow-sloped) roof, before applying new shingles (all premium GAF products). To "top it all off," the company installed a new GAF ridge vent which will keep our attic and home cooler in summer. EVERY detail was done beautifully, with obvious workmanlike pride. This is as good a construction company as I've ever worked with (this is my third major home remodel). Of course, the fact that we know HOW TO WORK with good people in the trades probably helps get good results. But (as I said at the start), "customers" who don't know what they're doing and who are suspicious, fear-based (that covered up by "anger"), are also the same ones who "yell and scream" later. The review says I am from Bend but am actually from the Medford Ashland area. It's not easy finding good contractors these days, with a shortage of skilled workers which is why we were pleasantly happy with the service from Robert the owner and his employees. We were not happy having to wait 2 extra months for them to start, but once they did they sent 3 workers each day and completed our large roof in good time and before the rains. After they finished, I noticed something that didn't seem right and they came back and took care of it. And now 3 months later when a leak occurred, which may not have been their fault, they jumped right on it and took total responsibility to make it right. Totally replacing all of the "hardware" on our very large sky light. Probably spending an additional 25 to 30 man-hours replacing the whole area . The workers were all very personable and their office staff was very professional and very responsive. It looks like their few negative reviews were a couple of years back; I believe that they are trying to do their best. read more

My parents got their roof done by these guys and they were very happy with it. They worked mostly with Robert and Casey. My parents got the roof they wanted and it was done quickly. They said the guys were all nice guys and they would work with them again on their other house. Very professional. read more

The owner of this business is Robert Riveros. I found him to be a bit hot-headed and confrontational when he was working up a bid for me. I knew what I wanted and relayed that to him. However, he got more and more aggressive and abrasive as he tried to sell me a different and more expensive roofing material. He was not the only roofing company I went to and I eventually ended up going with Pressure Point Roofing who were very easy and professional to work with. I think Mr. Riveros should really watch how he treats potential customers. It's a small valley! read more

I'm only giving them one star because the salesman that came to our house was great. We were looking to have 4 sun tunnels installed. A one day job. We were told we'd have a quote within a few days and we received it as promised. Decided to go with them because of their guarantee and so far great service. However, we were told that we'd get a call within a few days with a scheduled date. A week later we called them to find out we had been scheduled a month down the road - no problem but thought they should have called us but hey stuff happens. The salesman had assured us that once we had an appointment they would show up. They might even be able to squeeze us in early but would definitely be here on the appointed day. The day comes and they're a no show and no call again. We call and they say they didn't quite finish up a job and would try to fit us in next week. Not even an apology until we told them we weren't happy. Very lackadaisical about not calling and we told them we wanted a set date we could count on. We called back the next week and they say once again that they are busy with other jobs and might be able to get to us in another week. TBH we only had a couple of days open this week since we had scheduled other appointments thinking the job would have been completed by now but they weren't even certain about the next week. How do places like this stay in business? If a one day job is too small for you, then don't accept the job! Biggest problem is the attitude. Pretty much expect their customers to take it with no real remorse on their part. Told us they agreed if we were unhappy we should look elsewhere. We are! read more

If I could give a negative star I would! No work was done because no one showed up to do the work... Ryan came out to give a bid in early April - nice guy and seemed to know his stuff. Then the nightmare began - it was like pulling teeth to first get the written estimate, and then get on the schedule. In May we finally were scheduled for mid July - I call a few days prior to confirm and after 3 calls I am told they need to reschedule for 2 weeks later. OK. So, 2 weeks later I call again to confirm, and actually I had to call 5 times and send 3 emails to get a response that now I was scheduled for mid September. What? Wasn't surprised that mid September came and went with no communication from the company. Horrendous service and I have to say in retrospect I am glad they didn't do the work because if they work like they schedule then, yikes.! We had a big project we needed done on our house-new roof, sun tunnels, new construction on front porch and back patio and gutters. We got estimates from several companies. We chose Rogue Valley Roofing and are very happy we did. Not only was the price reasonable but it was so convenient to have one company offer all of the services we were looking for. Throughout the process, from the initial estimate appointment, scheduling and paperwork and the construction, I found the staff to be considerate, patient and helpful. Additionally, I was highly impressed with the value they placed on customer satisfaction. They took time to review the entire project with us to ensure we were happy with the job. The work they did on the front porch has given our home a whole new look and several neighbors have commented on it. Also, extending the roof over the back patio will allow us to utilize and enjoy the outdoor space for more of the year. I highly recommend Rogue Valley Roofing! read more

Worst company ever! Didn't complete work on time, said it would take one day and took over a week. Did a horrible job on installing skylight. Had to come back twice because plaster and paint kept cracking. The only thing they were quick about was driving out to get payment. Didn't return phone calls when messages where left about problems. Had to report them to Better Business Bureau to get any response. Now not even 4 years into a 5 year warranty the skylight is leaking again. Called them and was told the warranty wouldn't be honored because the business had a new owner even though it has the same phone number, same name and claim to have been in business for 20 years. Had to file another complaint with BBB. Was advised by State Contractors License Board to contact attorney for possible lawsuit. Avoid this business at all cost!!! Would give negative stars if at all possible but had to give at least one. read more
