Rogue coffee opened in October 2024 and is a fun/ unique coffee shop addition to Lakeland! It's further west down Main Street so it's close to downtown but a few minute walk from the main square. And easy to miss as there's not much else around it. I like that inside of Rogue it's a very industrial feel. They definitely put effort into decorating some but still let the space speak for itself and it works. They have giant burlap sacks of coffee piled all over and it's cool. I would like to confirm they are open on weekends- the temporary hours on their door are misleading (says they're only open M-F) but they're actually open Sat & Sun 10am-3pm. I went there on a Saturday so I was happy to find they were open. They're not easy to keep up with as they don't have a website, but they do have an instagram (@roguecoffeeus) & a facebook (@Roguecoffee). The coffees we had were good, if a tiny bit too sweet. But I prefer my coffee strong rather than sweet, so it's more of a preference. I'd highly recommend the Spanish latte- espresso with sweetened condensed milk it's wonderful. A big reason I came here, however, was because I heard how they sell chocolate that's directly imported from Dubai. It's not promoted anywhere on the menu nor is it sitting out because they keep it in the fridge, so you have to ask specifically for it. And though I paid $20 for it it was so worth it, it was incredible! It has a pistachio paste inside that is so different from literally anything here in the U.S. and it blends so well with the chocolate. My whole trip to Rogue was made worth it just to try the chocolate! read more

I love trying new coffee shops in a town that is full of them. It's not easy competition and you have to bring something to the table that is new. One is their location, this isn't necessarily "walkable" from typical locations downtown, but it is set off! It also isn't a basic aesthetic for traditional coffee shops these days. I love the exposed brick and the ability to sit and have parties with you. It's a great place for a morning study/work session! The coffee was good, nothing amazing and nothing bad. We also got a bagel with cream cheese, that was also good but nothing crazy! One thing we were both shocked by was the pricing! It's very reasonable as coffee shops have become very pricey! It was $14 for 2 coffees and a bagel with cream cheese! Overall it's a cute place, that has a quiet atmosphere and is good for meet ups! read more

The staff is incredibly sweet! I'm usually pretty slow when it comes to ordering because of how indecisive I am. However, they took the time to explain to me all the different menu items and what specials they were having. Also, their Matcha is the only place where I've been able to consistently get good Matcha. Some places in Lakeland that have Matcha that can be really hit or miss, but their staff is really on point with their Matcha and coffee. Also, I was told that all of their pastries are made from scratch, and they taste like it too. Side note, if you've ever had their s'mores cookie, it is the best thing I've ever had in my life. I 10 out of 10 recommend it. The atmosphere is very cozy, and it has a lot of cute nooks and crannies where you can sit and get comfortable with your friends. If you live in Lakeland or are driving through Lakeland, I really recommend this spot. read more

We stumbled across this cafe while walking around and decided to come inside for a coffee. The interior is spacious, clean, and well decorated with a good amount of seating. We ordered the Spooky S'more latte, a Spanish coffee, and a cappuccino. Each drink was extraordinarily delicious. The workers were so kind and made the space feel so welcoming. This coffee shop opened up a couple of months ago, and I've been meaning to try it because I work in the area! I walked over today and was not disappointed! The atmosphere was great! I loved the open concept! The barista was super nice, and the drink was good! I got the buttercup latte from the seasonal menu. We saw this posted on a local page. I sought this out since it was new. This location is on the outskirts of downtown with a few parallel parking spaces out front. If I'm being honest, I don't see this lasting because of the location alone. (This is North of Vitas and St. Joseph's Church.) Its industrial vibe is welcoming. There is a few areas to sit up front to enjoy your coffee and food inside. Large bags of coffee beans separate an office space from the customers from the middle towards the back of the shop. My guest ordered a vanilla latte with vanilla cold foam and a blueberry muffin. He LOVED it! I ordered a frappe and bagel sandwich. The frappe tasted VERY frothy-it was an odd texture and not pleasing, I dumped mine once home. The sandwich was fine-nothing special, you could whip this up at home. In a pinch, this would be fine, but in a pinch you likely wouldn't drive out of the way to this location. The service was lovely, a kind young lady took our order and was patient while we browsed the menu. Another woman came from the desk behind the coffee beans to help as two women walked in behind us. The staff and owner I presume were kind to the four of us- no complaints there. We also purchased two chocolate chip cookies based on a review- I wish we didn't. The cookies made me realize that this isn't a, "we love food and coffee and like to create our own items" type of place. This is a, "coffee shops are popular all we need is a few vendors" type of place. Which is fine, but we weren't looking for that. The prices are artisan and this just isn't that. read more

The promise of this coffee shop has not blossomed since opening and my November visit. No marketing, don't know hours, changed their almond milk to a yucky one. Closed when it should be open. Took a friend there this week. No published food menu. No pastries under their empty glass for pastries (at 9:30 am). Said they still made omelettes (the two I'd had in past visits were fluffy and delicious). We ordered omelettes $8. They weren't fluffy. They didn't have spinach. They didn't have mushrooms. They use "yellow cheese" (no feta, etc). They were out of the little salsa that came before. The one employee is the barista, cook, dishwasher. She made one omelette brought it out, then went in to make the 2nd one so we didn't eat together, we ate after each other. No garnish or side on the plate. This time and the last time, they make the eggs and then serve the drink. We'd be happier waiting while sipping. Service took wayyyy toooo lonnng. The egg was decent, the girl was sweet, the industrial "digs" are fine. But I hate to see an empty coffee shop, out of everything, no menu and wish they had a better approach or business model. I'm not likely to return, after thinking this could be "my place". Very disappointed in food, coffee, service. read more
