I would give this place 5 stars for quality of work on the backend. I got brand new speakers, sub/amp for my car. Sound and installment was great. There were only two downs 1. No one was wearing masks, distancing, etc., doesnt seem considerate to customers. 2. The young kid at front needs a lot more training before being responsible for thousands in purchases. Initial impression was that it was obvious he doesn't know much and it showed consistantly, especially after expecting one price and because he doesnt know alot, he made a mistake and I ended up paying more than anticipated. The only reason I went with Roger's in the first place is because Dave (I think thats his name,Black man with locs) was there to usher me through the initial selection process and I trusted his confidence and expertise and figured the young guy couldnt mess up, with more experienced people helping him. Otherwise I would've left immediately. Aside from that, there are alot of experienced folks there and they do good work. read more

Roger Stereo is absolutely the worst place to go. My husband called Woodruff Rd. about 2 weeks ago and the lady stated she would call back with a quote never did. We went on Saturday, May 9th to get a quote and was told we would get a quote in a hour on our 2023 Cadillac never called. I called back in, and she stated she stated she would call right back and never did. We are still waiting on a response. But none the less we went and took our business to Best Buy. read more

terrible prices and bad service. I was going to set up an appointment to have my subs installed. all I needed was the wiring. I removed the amp and subs from previous vehicle because it's super easy. I have all the wires except for any that were internally in the previous vehicle. I just needed a few new wires and the labor. he quoted me $350 for the labor which I think was slightly high but then he told me it would be an additional $200 for the wires... ha. wire kits go from $30-$100 online, $200 is insane. would never think about using this place. read more

We waited the recommended time ( 3/4 days ) to roll down the windows. It seems like the amp interferes with the radio receiver. Which only picks up one station. And the signal is very weak. After I paid for the system the technician said told me that the amp blocked a radio signal. I took it back and was asking about putting in another radio. They told me that they would call me back with a price. That was two days ago. And I haven't heard from them. They are not interested in helping me solve the problem, now it's going to cost another $2000 to replace a radio that wasn't the prom the first place. I only had a speaker problem. I had running boards installed on my car in sept of 2021. Rogers Stereo was recommended by the Lexus dealership in Greenville. Recently there was an issue where one of the running boards was loose on the back end of the car. I brought the car in to them and was told that they would have to order a whole mounting kit which with the labor was going to cost me over $500.00. I asked them just to take the running board off for now until I figured out what to do. They took it off and showed me the broken pieces that were causing the issue. They also charged me $110.00 just to remove the running board and had me sitting there for the better part of 2+ hours. I went home and called the company that makes the running boards. They had me take a couple pictures under my car as well as of the running board that was removed. It turns out that all I needed was some hardware to reattach the running board which they sent to me for free, I just had to cover the shipping cost. When I went back to Roger's Stereo to pick up the running board as well as the broken parts, all they had was the running board, they apparently threw away the parts that were broken. Needless to say the running board company sent me the parts as well as instructions on how to reattach it which took me about an hour and cost me $20.00 instead of over $500.00. read more

Our dealings with Roger's Stereo began in June of 2021 when we took our brand new 2021 Jeep Sahara to them the install leather seats, stereo , all new speakers, and an amplifier. Initially they installed a stinger HEIGH10 stereo along with the other items. I was dealing with a sales associate named Dustin. Once we got the jeep back the factory USB no longer worked to connect to the stereo. They said that it wasn't compatible with the system. The stereo would intermittently just stop working. We took it back multiple times and were left without the jeep for days. They said that they couldn't figure out what the problem was and that they were "talking with the manufacturer" which end up being a reoccurring theme. Dustin said that they were ordering a new unit. Several weeks passed and I reached back out to Dustin who had given me his cell phone. Umber and he said that he no longer worked there and that I needed to call the store. I reached out to the store and was directed to Scott who is apparently the instillation manger. Scott told me that Dustin left them other messes that they needed to clean up. (This will be important later in the review) They did order the new unit which also did not work correctly. During this time I also had periodic conversations with Jenny Rogers who I am assuming is the owner. After not being able to fix the issue they offer to replace the stereo with a factory radio.....in other words what I had them replace to begin with. Also at some point Dustin who they said had walked out and left them with messes to clean up was working there again. It wasn't ideal but we just wanted it to work. Once the factory replica was installed it also had problems. It would quit working but it would only do it when we opened or closed the one touch top. Again we took it back multiple times with no solution however they were continually "talking to the manufacturer". We would communicate and they would "talk to the manufacturer" and would not get back with me with a solution Weeks would pass with no response This happened multiple times with Scott and Jenny. I would have to reach out only to be told that they are still talking with the manufacturer only to be ghosted again. During this process we moved to Charleston but would be willing to come back to get it fixed or better yet let them find someone down here to help me on their behalf. I have been nothing but polite to them 99% of our interactions were via text so I have proof of all of this. While looking at a recent review I noticed that Jenny Rogers advised the reviewer that they should have reached out to her since he had her cell phone number. I have done just that with no response. This ghosting happened multiple times and I have the text messages with all employees that have dealt with in the two years to prove it. I also have videos and pictures of the issues as I was sending them to whoever I was working with at the time so that they could see the issue as it was happening. read more

I got to say I was disappointed with what they did to my 2014 gmc Sierra truck they drill the amps to the back of my cab screws that stick out 2 inches long they said they would take care of it so i get a quote from the place that I have fix my truck all the time and it's $3500 and instead of paying me to get it fixed and he tells me he's going to choose where the truck gets fixed and I said no so he tries to brave me to take $500 and tell me that the truck is 10 years old like it's a piece of junk and this is Frank Rogers talking about the owner of Roger Stereo . It's slightly above reasonable price in my opinion but they got it done in a timely manner so not much to complain about. All service and details have been dealer done and it rolls down the road like the day I bought it. People always ask how does it look so good? I spoke to my friend Steve, the service manager at Breakaway and he recommended a trip to Rogers Stereo for a possible upgrade. I arrived thinking about an added on XM Receiver and a port to plug into. Five minutes later I was buying a stereo like all the cool kids have. Short of $500.00 and a couple hours changed everything. This rolling living room now plays Dillon like he's sitting next to you. I feel "Like a Rolling Stone! For me, I hope the cool purchases will stop at buying the stereo. BUT!!!! While hanging out I found backup cameras, heated seat solutions, LED bulbs, DVD Players, Screens in headrest, Golf Carts...and every other thing I salivate over. So...if you like me, like this stuff, get to Rogers Stereo right away. If you're married to a freak like me and you're worried about them catching the bug, step on the gas when driving by. Do not let them see this review. This place is cool! It's why people work for a living. Everyone leaving the place has a smile on their face. I went to get my windows tinted on 08/25/2021. After arriving, I spoke with the Store Manager, David who checked me in. I explained what I wanted, which was dark windows and a tinted windshield. He said "I would recommend the 18% on all the windows and 45% on the windshield. You won't be able to see inside them except for a silhouette." I went with his recommendation. After waiting two hours, I got outside to my car and was extremely disappointed. I mentioned it not being dark enough and was told "well, it does has to dry". I waited a few days and still no change. I called and spoke with David. I told him I wasn't satisfied with my tint and he told me to bring it up there. I went up there to wait 1.5 hour of them trying to get an answer on a getting a refund. By this time, the owner is introduced. He states, he wants to make it right. I agree to have the windows redone. He states he would even give me an in-house credit. "We will get you taken care of." After arriving to my appointment on 08/27/2021, I was informed by the owner, I would pay $150 due to him needing to pay his window tint employees to redo the job and he would give me a $150 in-house credit. After taxes, I paid $160.50. This was never explained to me prior to them getting my car in the shop. Bait and switch. The window tint looked worse. The tint was cut too short on multiple windows. I have attempted to resolve this with the owner; however he told me to dispute it. The images have colored paper behind them to show the flaw in the window tint. I have had a police officer read my window tint and is NOT consistent with illegal percent they were paid to put on my car. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else. I'm currently disputing all charges ($535.XX) with my banks and filing complaint with BBB. read more

Paid them the instal of $240, got home trying to fix the amp and seem that they never finished installing all the wires left them all exposed/mess. Here's a mixed review... Brought my Lexus in for window tinting. Fabulous job! The guy they've hired to do the tinting is something of an artisan. He takes pride in his work and is very thorough. On the other end of the spectrum... Several years ago I brought my truck in for a new sound system. Tremendous failure! System installed but sounds like crap. Sub woofer wiring sucked, too. Apparently, they have changed Mgmt since the crappy install. A VERY good move, Mr. Rogers. Perhaps we can see about unscrewing my truck, now. So, four stars for replacing substandard mgmt and other employees and good tinting work. read more

Awful service, workmanship...have had issues since install...every time it went in for a diagnostic it needed something replaced. we paid for multiple amps, speakers, and install fees. Speakers short out...sometimes work sometimes dont. needless to say when we took it in recently they were going to give us options and cost for entire new system. ummmmm....no...the first one has never worked correctly. If you plan on going there...watch the work be done. That will be the only way to know if things are being done correctly and with new parts that get paid for multiple times. read more

Do not entertain going here for a hitch. I got a quote for my Infiniti of $517.00 for a hitch receiver (no light kit) and labor. There is only one hitch receiver that can even be purchased that works on my car. Roger's quoted me $250 for the hitch, the very same hitch I can buy online for $125. That's a 100% mark up on parts alone. Then they attempted to "school" me on the difficulties my car poses (which I already knew) on install so clearly they must charge additional labor. U-Haul quoted the very same hitch & installation for $337 and they were very aware of the install difficulties, which wasn't so difficult for them. So 2 weeks later I was contacted from someone from Roger's corporate off and was told that they don't do business like that and would rectify the situation and would get back to me in about 30 minutes with a resolution and a direct contact for getting services well its been 3days 7hr and 30min later and still haven't received that call. Sorry to say that I have been served by this company before and even recommended it to several of my friends and some of my Good Brother's before at the Spartanburg office but now I'm recalling my endorsement. My biggest complaint to this location is anytime I called to get an update on the status of my hitch, somebody would take my number and information and never got back to me. I rarely write bad reviews, but Rogers Stereo has the worst service I've seen in awhile. When I bought my car the dealer I worked with had them install a back up camera. I have brought my car to Rogers three or four times to have it fixed because it stopped working altogether, or only the sensor did and there was no picture. When I took my car in today, an employee walked out with me and said it appeared that the camera was bad. When we walked back in another employee remarked that I hadn't bought my car recently. guess this means that my equipment is not supposed to work now when it was paid for? I explained that no one had ever offered to replace the camera and they pulled up my service record which was nowhere to be found. The best is that I have to pay full price to have this replaced. Needless to say I would not recommend them. Update to this review: I called Fred Rogers, who owns this business about what transpired during my visit (his phone number is posted on the wall behind the reception desk). He called me from his vacation in Charleston and followed up to make sure this was taken care of properly. I certainly didn't expect that. He asked his manager John to work with me on this and let me know he would be overseeing it. John took care of everything and the camera is fixed. High marks for service recovery. read more

I had my dash cam camera system installed by Rogers Stereo. Two weeks after the install I recognized a rattle noise while driving my truck. A day later a couple of cables for the dash cam fell from underneath my dashboard on my brake pedal. I had to wait one week to get an appointment with Rogers Stereo to show the problem to them. They were friendly and inspected the truck for approx. one hour after they sent me my way and said that the dash cam was broken. I then went through the process of returning my dash cam since it was only a couple of weeks old. Once I received the a new replacement dash cam I found out that the new camera also doesn't work in my truck. A friend of mine inspected the install and found the install to be the problem. I won't go back to Rogers Stereo. The quality and service is not good and you have to wait a long time for them even to check on problems that were created by them! read more

So I can't speak for the other stars or the lack of stars. What I can tell you from personal experience is what I just had done today. So I brought all of my own equipment plus wiring to have installed. I was not pressured to purchase anything, the staff didn't give me a hard time because I was bringing my own items I purchased somewhere else. Now during the install they did need to add some other items to complete the set up but was very reasonable and the sales person was very up front and clear on the extra charge. She actually almost was upset herself because it wasn't the original quote that she told but hey things happen once you tear into a dash like the 2007 Dodge Ram. FYI do not make any purchase without talking to these guys first so you can save a lot of frustration up front because it will throw you through a loop trying to do it by yourself. Last thing just wanted the staff to know that the entire team made a new lifelong customer today just from my experience I will not go anywhere else. Roger's Stereo is the best! The first 3 photos show the original cloth vs an ill fitting back seat. Roger's Stereo would not release the Jeep on day one because of it. They had Katzkin overnight a new one from Cali to Greenville, SC to correct the problem shown fixed in photo 3. So I had to wait a day, but it was well worth it! The stitching is an exact match to all the factory stitching in the Sahara. Shame on me once never again. I took my 2005 Wrangler here to have it tinted (doors and windshield strip only) was quoted a total of $80.00 tint and labor and I asked them to do the normal 31% as that was the tint on the soft top. And asked for 20% in the windshield strip. Quote and work agreed on also signed the paperwork stating this is what would be done. My husband was going out of town for work and we were promised the Jeep back the same day as he had a cancellation and if I would leave it they could just use the same appointment time as the cancellation. Well 5 pm rolled around and no phone call was received to pick up the Jeep. Next morning around 11am got a call it was finished. Went to pick it up and the tint was super light, lighter than factory and a two inch strip that was around 31% and was told because my Jeep was red it made the 31%(legal tint) illegal and and it ended up cost $189.00 because they had to re-tint. They also said the reason it took so long is because the person who made the cancellation decided to come in anyway so they had to work my Jeep in. I was very disappointed with the work and will not go back to any of his locations. When you agree on something do what you agreed to Rogers Stereo. You have lost a customer that would have been a loyal customer. Your loss. read more

Find another place for quality work! Had a new Stereo system and back up camera installed in my daughters car for her birthday. A couple of things went wrong with the whole experience. Worked with Dustin, who schedule an appointment for me on a Monday. Had to reschedule to a Friday, told me he would take care of it. When I brought the car in on Friday there was no appointment booked for the installation. Got the new stereo system installed and when we picked up the car we noticed that they cracked the plastic around the where the old stereo system went. Not a big deal as the car is a bit older but was disappointed that no one mentioned it when we picked the car up. Called the store back to let them know. Spoke with Dustin who proceed to tell me the store policy that they are not responsible for things they break. Rattled of some other mumbo jumbo about Toyota and Lexus and than proceed to tell me that my particular car had a recall for brittle dashboards (really, I'm not stupid and there are no recalls!). He did tell me if I bought a new part they would install it for free (gee thanks). It's not the crack that bothers me, it's the dishonesty that you didn't tell me. You broke something, own up and take responsibility! If customer service is not your jam anyway, no worries you won't get it here. I took my CJ to get a new stereo. They were fairly expensive but I wanted a good job. When they returned it it had exposed wire in multiple locations. They left wire scraps and trash in the back of the jeep. I have a technician and the salesman and look at it and they said they were happy with the job. It looks like something I could've done in my backyard. It was functional but they did not make it look good. read more
