He came out last fall, knew what he was talking about, gave me a rough estimate, then told me he needed to write it up to make it official. After not hearing back, I emailed Jolene a couple of times. She finally emailed this to me: "David said he cannot send you a bid as he cannot honestly give you a honest bid. He says call him in spring so that he can get up on roof so that he can give you a accurate bid." I copy and pasted this from the email. I called her and told her this is NOT what he just told me the other day! The verbal estimate he gave me included EVERYTHING that could possibly be done! I guess because I live in the historic district, and I told him I wanted him to do it on the spot, he figured he could squeeze more money out of me. Either way, they lied. I ended up using Midtown Sweeps out of Waterloo. The guy is honest, does great work, and the cost was half what David quoted me.

Had Shawn build 30x48 foot pole building. Took over 3 months. Paid him for roughly 80% of the job…read morewell before completion. Shawn asked for more money, I advised him that he is not getting more until the job is complete and I had Lein Releases from all the material suppliers. Then found out that he bounced checks to 2 of the suppliers and didn't pay for most all of the materials. Had 4 separate companies threaten to put a lien on my property unless the materials were paid for. I had to personally go pay those companies for the materials used on my property under Domer Enterprises account in order to prevent the Lein being put on my property. I then had to work with other companies to get the job done. What I owed Shawn was less than he owed for the materials and Shawn has agreed to pay me the difference and just makes empty promises and now he is unresponsive. I have also learned that Shawn did not get the framing inspection done and now I have to have the inside walls taken down to add bracing that he didn't do. Aside from all this, the workmanship is very poor, missing screws, steel cut poorly on the ends, steel not lining up nicely in multiple places. These are only some of the pictures, I could easily show a hundred photos showing the workmanship.
