Guild provided a quote for snow removal but ignored 3 phone and email attempts to make contact in order to arrange services.

The company agreed to perform two tasks, to remove old lilacs stumps and dig out three holes for future plants. The stumps removal and covering the corner with gravel took them 5 hours to do, which was very efficient and neat. I was frantically searching for someone to resolve our heavy fallen leaves and lawn issue. Renard and Guild Lawn Services came through in a big way, not only did they come and do it in Iowa City during a home Iowa Football game but he went above and beyond what we agreed upon by blowing out the flower beds. I was a bit hesitant at first because i received quotes from multiple companies and his quote was substantially less yet he more than delivered. My wife and I had been snow bound for over a week and groceries were running low. I called 20+ snow removal companies and NONE were accepting new clients. I posted on YELP and had a reply from GUILD snow removal within 1/2 hour of posting, and had my drive cleared within 1 hour. I should mention that we had over 2 feet of snow on our driveway and a 3 foot frozen drift (thanks to City snow plows) blocking us from getting onto Nilsen Road. I received their response and agreed to the price. I was given a time of 3-6PM. I greed. at 6PM I reached out and asked if they were going to make it. I was told there was a lot of snow but they would make it. AT 8:00Pm with no communication, I told them I was moving on. I passed up two opportunities to have my driveway plowed, waiting on them. I have serious health issues and need access to health care. all I ask for is honest communication. they did not provide it.​ read more
