The Rogers Centre, a beloved stadium in the heart of downtown Toronto, doesn't just host baseball games. They also host big name concerts, such as the one I just saw: Post Malone/Jelly Roll's Big Ass Stadium Tour. The night was warm, so the roof was retracted with a glorious view of the surrounding skyscrapers and night sky. The venue can hold thousands upon thousands of spectators, so it's an apt venue for big name celebrity shows. Traffic is always a nightmare, so public transit is the way to get there. Drink prices are exorbitant, but they have a captive audience and can charge top dollar. The venue has recently experienced a facelift inside, and service is always prompt, given the number of guests they need to serve. They know how to put on a phenomenal and memorable show! read more

Renovations are complete, but this was my first time there. I bought the $20 outfield district ticket that comes with no seat. On three levels, you have seven areas to stand and watch the game. Each area has either a bar or Dj and good views. In theory sounds good, but nowhere to stand mostly unless you camp out all day at the railings. Pizza Nova was good and the chicken place had nice tenders and the potato wedges were a nice touch. read more

First off, Let's Go O's! Nice new stadium with flashy lights and large screen. It's interesting the Blue Jays' stadium roof can open and close, but I wished they kept it open unless raining. They blast the AC and I don't know if I was just sitting right under a vent but it was freezing. The staff were friendly and I didn't explore the food options too much, but tried their poutine and chicken tenders with fries. Fries were very dry and chicken tenders were tiny but moist. Free refills with the souvenir cup. Also got passes for on-field batting practice and that was a fun experience meeting a lot of players for photos and autographs. I enjoyed seeing the Bluejays play while I was visiting. It was raining and it was cool to be in a dome. Huge venue and it was packed, but somehow didn't feel congested. Review from 7/2023 We are traveling to visit all of the baseball stadiums and hit three on this trip alone! This field is awesome (besides the small seats). It is older but very well-kept. I love that the outfield has hotel rooms attached to it, and they can view the game from their room! There is even an attached restaurant (which I will review next) where you can see the game/field while eating. Good: Food is great Lots of choices for drinks/food all around The roof being opened is amazing to watch The view cannot be beat for a baseball game CN Tower View- awesome and people were repelling down during the game Bad: Seats are made for someone who is not of a normal size. With an incredible view of the CN tower when the dome is open, this stadium is a beauty! It's modern with great metrics on the scoreboards that are easy to see. They've got fun activities planned through out including fun face painting on Canada Day or interactive game activities. Only bummer is that the concurses are really narrow. It's not quite built to sustain the number of people it can house which is a little tough for moving around. Decent food options although nothing really stands out. Rogers Centre surprised me as I always believe I'm going to hate watching a baseball game in an indoor ballpark and then I get in there and it's not so bad. In fact, the amenities this park has, makes it better than most indoor ball parks in my opinion. Went to a Friday night game and a Saturday day game. The latter was super cool because the ballpark had so much energy. Live music and different events going on and a pretty full house when my Los Angeles Dodgers were playing and beating the Bluejays. Really good food options were offered here. It was my first time in Canada, so of course I had to try the poutine and even tried a poutine hot dog. Had a burger here, which is probably one of the better burgers in MLB. Employees here are super nice and I love that they have their pronouns listed on their name tags. read more

Beautiful stadium! When we walked through the doors of the 200 level to our seats, we were totally impressed. The view, the cleanliness, the atmosphere - all great! Sitting on the 3rd base side looking up at the CN Tower was awesome. This is a really nice place to enjoy a game. Great vibes and music, too. The kids loved it, too. Only thing missing was food and drink service at the seats, but I don't think it's offered in the upper levels. Still, I can't complain. And there were a lot of food options in the concourse. On select Sundays they have Kids Days. So many activities inside and outside the ballpark. We did the hair chalk, ball throwing, spray tattoos, caricatures, and bounce houses. After the game, the kids could sign up to run the bases (do this via email before game and sign-up in waves). I love that this ballpark has a dome. Don't have to worry about rain-outs. Food-wise, there was some Canadian specialities like poutine. We had to try the poutine hot dog. We couldn't find any soft serve ice cream in the 100s, but the elevator guy led us to a good spot in the 200s. The kids loved their souvenir baseball hats leftover from the ice cream (which was like soup by the time we got back to our seats). Definitely a good ballpark to go to with the family. read more

This was my first time going to the Rogers Centre and watching the Blue Jays and it was amazing. The Blue Jays ticket cannot be screenshot, whether bought online or transferred to another person. This ensures its security. It's okay to bring some food inside. We brought some leftover pizza for dinner before the game. After we entered, we still had to walk up inside the arena. The arena is very huge and divided into different floors and areas. They have some beautiful photo spots, food trucks, bars, and a games area. You don't have to sit in the arena and only watch the games. The bar is the busiest and most crowded area. Most people hang out there and have a drink. Of all the modern ballparks, I really enjoyed my time here! While the blue jays fans are still resentful of Ohtani, I got to see him blast a solo home run in the first inning and silence all the boo birds. In game entertainment was good, food also good. Only gripe I have is the giveaway was NOT free. You had to "upgrade" your ticket. At dodger Stadium, giveaways are firdt come, first serve until they run out. Found that odd. How about "Blue Jays Way"!! We went to the Toronto Blue Jays - NY Yankees game on Wednesday night and saw history - we were there for Aaron Judge's 61st home run, breaking a 61-year old record that had stood since 1961. But what surprised me was the absence of any sort of a scoreboard congratulations nothing like "The Toronto Blue Jays Wish to Congratulate Aaron Judge on his historic achievement". What also surprised and disappointed me was the lack of any instant replay of that home run. Come to think of it, there were zero instant replays of any kind which is kind of bizarre because the stadium has a brand new state of the art scoreboard and LED light system. Another weird thing was the very limited and mundane assortment of food choices at the concession stands. We didn't see much more than pizza, dogs, french fries, and chicken. The stadium has a terrific location, right in the middle of tourist central between the CN Tower, Aquarium, and Steam Whistle Beer Garden. The plaza was jam packed with people the night we were there. The ballgame experience was great. We sat in the second level just down the foul line from the Toronto dugout. We had unobstructed views of the whole field -from foul pole to foul pole. The seats were big and had generous leg room. The stadium sections and rows and seats are clearly marked, and the ushers were very helpful and friendly. One cool thing we saw was the return of real live stadium vendors selling beers and popcorn through cashless transactions. They would pass a cardreader gizmo to their customer who would complete the purchase with a credit card. No Loonies or Toonies or Tens or Twenties experienced a human touch. just now New Save your money and the 5 miles walking into/ out of this center, go literally anywhere else I've been to concerts in 7 different countries, and Rogers Centre in Ontario, Canada takes the crown for worst experience. Ever. The staff? Absolutely useless. They sat around doing nothing, offered zero help, and their complete lack of urgency or professionalism made us miss half the damn show. Instead of helping guests get to their seats or move things along, they were glued to their chairs like it was a union break on loop. I don't know what kind of operation they're running, but it felt like no one cared about the actual event just clocking in and out. I've seen better hospitality at gas station bathrooms. If you're thinking about seeing a concert here: don't. The venue is outdated, the vibes are off, the staff is lazy, and the whole thing was a giant waste of money. This of course had nothing to do with the band and performance which was flawless but dealing with everything else was literally terrible. Avoid at all costs. read more

Will have to do a review update when I see a baseball game here. This is for an Elton John concert where we sat in the 200-level. Located downtown near the water and CN Tower it may feel daunting to get here with large buildings and traffic- but once you get on the actual stadium grounds - things are pretty laid back. There was a line to get in but things moved quickly and we were ushered in. There are several food options out in the mezzanine area and the corridors are decorated for the team with several types of displays. I opted to not get food or drink while here - but the seats were comfortable as they could be. Will be back to take this off my baseball park to-do list in 2023 read more

Came here for the final game of the Red Sox and Blue Jay series. It was super fun and the atmosphere and ambiance were great. I wish the Blue Jays had pulled off a win but they lost steam towards the end and the lost. We still had a great time. We planned to go see our home team during our trip to Toronto. The Rogers Center had recently through some renovations recently and I think they really catered to the fans. A few rooftop bars and plenty of places to get food and drinks. The one thing I loved about this stadium that I found out afterwards, was that you can bring outside food. (No alcohol but still) . I was went to the concert, I was saw the British pop band One Direction, I was excited and I had fun but I had a great job.

This is not my home stadium so I am really comparing it to Comerica and the few others I have been to. The food options suck horribly and beer/drink options are severely lacking. It feels very cramped and there are no drink holders which is incredibly annoying. I don't know if this is somehow related t othe liquor laws in Ontario (which will always be confusing and weird to me), but you can't buy alcohol and food at the same stand which is sort of inconvenient. The pros are the dome that they close when it's raining (which we didn't actually realize until a bartender told us, so we decided to go to the game afterall..), the people are super nice including the fans, and... the hot dogs are actually the best I have ever had at a park. I also really like how they have a ton of activities for kids; I have never seen anywhere so accommodating! They even have an arcade which is pretty cool. I think this keeps kids from being as antsy and being upset during the game so everyone can have fun. Thanks for having us, Toronto. read more

Great place to see the Blue Jays play. When I am in town, before Covid, I use to get to the games 2 hours early and buy the tickets from the box office. Now they require you to buy and download the tickets online. I always get Great seats for the awesome price of around $100 Canadian which includes tax and fees( That's about $80 in US dollars) I alway am able to get field level seats within 15 rows if the field or better! I have been able to get with 10 rows behind home plate multiple times! The family atmosphere and promotions they have during the game are really cool! Never dealt with unruly fans in this stadium, which has a retractable roof if the weather gets bad. I get the grilled footlong hot dogs which they have in special kiosks, along with a soda. I use Uber when I visit Toronto and they can drop you off right at the stadium which is right next to the CN Tower! Highly recommend! read more

Came here for a Baseball game !! Loved the ambiance just a mess to get to your gate though. If you have amazing seats and your coming down blue jays way you have to walk a bunch of stairs up and down like a yoyo not fun ahaha I want to point out that You can't even find scalpers .. so sad everything is now online but we were able to buy amazing tickets 1 hour before the game online as they don't sell paper tickets anymore :((( I miss the scalper days!! The game was super electrifying ahahaha we had front view seats and saw the players really close up it was super fun and we had no expectations becausr we bought the seats so last minute hey 40$ a ticket we had a fabulous time! Facility: washrooms: 0 gross .. super dirty and the line up is a mess you have to wait at least 10-20 minutes to get into a stall.. it's pretty old and run down so needs a makeover The CONCESSION STAND: Super great they have a full bar almost which was super nice you can get any drink you like but the lineup is long ish ( you definitely miss an inning getting food/ drinks) I really liked that they fixed the roof so if its pouring down hard at least the rooftop closes and you dont get crazy wet at least they fixed that from the last time I came Will definitely come back and do it again for sure Cheers read more

The renovations to the dome is a massive transformation that creates a much better vibe. The social spaces really opens up the place and allows you to do other things during a boring game or a blowout. Especially attending a matinee game - my 5 year old and I lasted all the way to the 7th inning because we walked around and just checked out different neighborhoods. Was in town for the week on a work trip, and I was told to catch a game while I was here. SO glad I got a ticket! Blue Jays vs Padres. I'm not much of a baseball person, but come on, if you're in town and a game is playing locally, I don't care what sport it is I'll go for the atmosphere and some entertainment! I went solo and bought a cheap nosebleed seat, with the game plan of grabbing a beer and hotdog and just standing the whole time. I don't care if my legs went numb I think I had the best view for the price I paid. I found a cool standing area right behind some premium seats. You're damn right I enjoyed that hotdog and two beers leaning on a pole with a straight shot view. Such nice weather that night they even opened up the roof. The stadium was pretty bad ass, even tho I've only been in 2 other baseball stadiums lol, this was was pretty amazing. Purchased a hat at one of the stands there before I left, overpriced but worth it to say I been there and done that and I got a hat to prove it. Parking was located in some underground garages nearby so it was pretty convenient. Oh! One thing to note..... you couldn't purchase tickets at the stadium, everything was online, so a lot of sad people that day were turned away, not sure if that's a norm or just a one time thing for this game but I'd check online for tickets before just assuming, and missing out on a mustard covered hot dog and moderately priced beer. read more

Beautiful stadium conveniently located adjacent to the convention center with the CN Tower looming overhead and accessible luxury suite style by Toronto Marriott City Center rooms. The wife, the two kids and I decided last minute to snag four upper deck seats for a TOR-CWS game and we loved the experience, everything from the day club like atmosphere of the standing room only seats to the bottomless drinks and popcorn buckets. Enjoy your climate-controlled fan experience in this behemoth before it's gone, as you enjoy the only major-league game available north of the border. Easy parking factor: with the location in downtown Toronto, you can get a spot for $10 CAD (I used USD, just wanted to appear international). Plenty of public transit makes that a decent alternative as well. Cheap ticket factor: You'll get a cheap seat in this monstrosity, you just might need a telescope to catch the on-field action. Although built in '89, you get the giant 70s dome flair, nice temps but sitting waaay back. Welcoming factor: The ever-present Canadian nanny state will help assure you don't get too hot or cold, so don't worry about that. Just don't try to go back down to a lower level after you've gone up. Would be cool to watch a game with the roof open, but you get the basic concrete-jungle feel with it closed. World's fastest grounds crew will amaze in 90 seconds or less. Food factor: I know you're wondering if they have that "Canadian style bacon". Well you'll just have to keep wondering what that's all aboot. Just kidding: I'm sure they do--what Canadian establishment wouldn't? Have some Skor chocolate toffee and pretend it isn't Heath (eh). Move freely about the cabin factor: One-way doors lock behind you as you venture toward Nosebleed-Nirvana. The trick is stay down low until you're done roaming the halls; kind of backwards from our usual 6th-inning stadium trek (we realized too late). Little kid souvenir factor: my son got plenty of autographs and hung around the expensive seats for a while after game start, so look to grab some nice souvenirs if you care during visitor BP. Just remember the "Hotel California" rule where you can go up but you can never return to the lower levels if you don't have one of those expensive seats. It was an atypical sweltering day, but plenty cool inside Rogers. They do it up right north of the border with some American-style ball. I'll return and hopefully for a night game with open roof. read more

It was so good to take in a home game of the Toronto Blue Jays after two years away from this stadium. New and former food vendors adorn each level of Rogers Centre including Pizza Nova and Mary Brown's. The alcohol was also flowing too. The Jays organization upgraded the lighting and scoreboard systems to catch up to other sporting venues which have had these flashy entertainment productions for a few years already. Many people still vent that Toronto should build a new open ballpark. Tonight, my sweetie and I were very happy sitting in this climate-controlled stadium with a retractable roof that was closed. I always say I want to visit stadiums in other cities and never make it to sports games until now. Visiting Toronto with friend we decided to take in a Blue Jays game and I am so glad we did! The stadium is set up so that most seats are good seats and thats always appreciated. I like that there are "value" booths for snacks, multiple gathering sections, live music and a ton of great places for photo opportunities! Awesome stadium situated in the heart of downtown Toronto! We purchased tickets to watch Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays @ 1:00pm and it happened to be on Canada Day, July 1st! The first 15,000 attendees received denim ball caps with Canada's maple leaf emblem on the front. Cool!! Opening ceremonies included America's "Star Spangled Banner" and Canada's "Oh Canada" national anthems performed by the Royal Canadian Airforce band. I could hear a lot of Canadians singing!! Wow! So much pride!! Then the 424 Transport and Rescue Squadron repelled from the very top of the stadium to the ground. Amazing!! Round of applause!! Our seats were in section 521L Row 5 seats 103 & 104. The view was great and we didn't have direct sun for about the first four innings. There are no cup holders and not enough leg space so be prepared to stand up when others need to get through to get to their seats. We took an elevator from floor 000 to 500. You can also walk up the ramp to get some step action! But our view was from home plate. The final score was 11-4 Toronto. It was exciting to watch! For food and beverage there are many vendors to choose from. We decided to get a foot long hot dog from Schneiders (long lines so it had to be good!) and Nachos with shredded beef from the Cantina. And of course, a draft beer from Mill St. Brewery. Everything was excellent!! The Westjet Flightdeck area located centerfield in the 200 section is a must-visit! The best time to go is probably during the game. So get up from your seats to stretch and visit the area for photo opps and activities for some freebies! One of the sponsors, Honda, featured a Spin & Win game to win sunglasses, towel, or t-shirt. Something for the entire family to enjoy! The stadium is in the same square as the CN TOWER, Ripley's Aquarium, and the CANADA sign! A train station and the Toronto Marriott resides at Rogers Centre, too! Rogers Centre (formerly the SkyDome) is smack dab in the middle of downtown Toronto. It's an easy walk from Union Station especially with the connected covered walkway. It's huge even from ballpark standards but fairly easy to navigate. It is older and shows some sign of wear but it's well maintained. Everyone working here was friendly and they were giving away Lourdes Gurriel Jr bobblehead to the first 15,000 fans. I'm not necessarily a fan but still got one! Lol Built in 1989 and home to the Toronto Blue Jays, it was the first sports arena of any kind in North America to feature a fully retractable roof. It was a beautiful sunny spring day so I thought for sure the roof would be open but they kept it closed the entire game. I was bummed. As a baseball fan it took away that afternoon at the ballpark feeling. I don't think I was the only one who felt this way either as the crowd was pretty subdued and appeared bored. Food and drinks were standard ballpark fare: hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos, peanuts and popcorn. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks were around $14. Yep it's expensive but not surprising since it's Canada and the prices are generally higher than the US. Overall I liked the layout of Rogers Centre and the location is near all the downtown action. Very convenient if taking the train as it's a short 15 min walk. This is ballpark #16 out of the 30 MLB ballparks. I'm over halfway to my goal of seeing all 30! read more

Highly recommend going to Rogers Centre for the Stadium Tour...cost is only CAD $15 per person. 1 hour behind the scenes tour of the stadium...so glad came to the tour while in Toronto. Learned about the stadium, the retractable roof and how they convert the stadium for events. when do you ever see an empty stadium? Super cool! This is the only time you can go see the suites and get on the field and the dug out! Purchase tickets at the stadium store. https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/ballpark/tours Very easy to get to here as it's right in the heart of CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Railway Museum and more... Came back the next day while in town to watch Blue Jays game...it happened to be Star Wars nite (purchased tickets in advance of the trip). Not as cool - uncoordinated long lines to get in esp when everyone wanted to get the Blue Jays cap with Star Wars logo. For any promo nites, definitely show up at least 1 hour before the gates open...especially for the hot promos. Easy enough to get around the stadium and the CN Tower is right next door! Try to get the picture of the open stadium and CN Tower as your memorable picture spot. Food on the other hand could be better... had the chicken tenders and fries...sadly, have had better in other baseball stadiums. But definitely loved the experience...would come here again next time in town. read more

Had my first experience here a few weeks ago. Sri e over from Michigan to visits a new ballpark and see a game. We explored the entire facility, went up to the 5th deck and down the the 1at where our seats were. The 5th deck is a blast, social areas, yard games, with patio vibes. Food was decent - I tried the Cubano and he tried the chicken strips from Mary Browns. Get the Mary Browns sauce, it's good. You can see the field from just about everywhere, can't miss an ounce of the game. My only complaint - the seats 1st level behind the dugouts are so small and cramped. I'm not a large sized person and was completely touching all my neighbors more than I care to. read more

Visited 1st on October 3, 2015 for Taylor Swift's 1989 Concert and again on July 31, 2022 for the Blue Jays game against the Tigers. It was neat to have been there for 2 different events with the roof closed for one and open for the other. If you stick around long enough, you can even see the roof retract. Recall feeling like Tay Tay was pretty small at the concert even though my seat was pretty good but the baseball game was the exact opposite. Loved the fan excitement. Practically all the seats were taken except for maybe the ones in the upper upper decks. Didn't get to explore around the stadium, but a refresh probably wouldn't hurt. read more
