We had an amazing view from 1810 feet high in the sky on our short day trip visit to downtown Toronto, Canada. We were told multiple times the CN Tower was a must see and it did not disappoint. This view was absolutely stunning and it provided for a very nice afternoon. Unfortunately, there was a field trip or multiple taking place that day (4/29/26) so there were multiple middle school age students running around, yelling, jumping on the glass bottom floor sections, etc. this made it a bit disturbing and not quite as romantic or peaceful, but we embraced the view as much as possible. We definitely would've stayed for cocktails and lunch, but decided to go elsewhere since the students were running around what appeared to be unsupervised.

I visited the CN Tower once as a kid but barely remembered it, so I figured it was time for a revisit now that I'm older and pass by it all the time. It's obviously a super cool experience. Standing on the famous glass floor and looking straight down is both awesome and a little terrifying. The views from up there are beautiful l, you can see so much of Toronto and the surrounding area. We also paid the extra $12 each to go all the way to the very top... it is insanely high up there. You really can see everything from that vantage point. It's definitely a pricey experience, but it's one of those things that's worth doing at least once in your life. The staff were also very friendly and helpful during our visit. Toronto's skyline is breathtaking! Climbing the Toronto Tower is definitely an unforgettable experience.

Great experience with really good service. Reservation states a minimum of $75/adult is needed but does include the entrance to the observation deck, which by itself is like 30/40$?, so really that pays itself. That does not include drinks so that would be extra. Food is little bland, but I'm from Miami and like flavor, so I'm biased with that. It's all good but not out of this world. The views and rotating deck were a really nice experience but it is 100 plus floors up so be prepared if you don't like heights. Nice experience if you're visiting and want to spend the money.

Ok hear me out. Was this a cool place to go to? yeah it is a cool place to go to, however I have to give this 3 stars as it's quite pricey for what it is, and if you do the "all the way to the top experience" even more. If you are afraid of heights, this is really not for you, if you are wanting views of the city then that is exactly what you get. You are whisked up a super fast elevator to the first observatory area and can stay as long as you like, or so it feels. You are met with everyone taking selfies against the glass, so sometimes you may need to sneak your way in if you want some unobstructed viewing. The "all the way to the top" experience, you have to select your time, when you purchase the tickets. When your time is close you go to a designated area and go up another super fast elevator another 30 floors. Up some steps to the top observation deck. You truly feel the height at this point, and to be fair I thought the views were better from the lower observation deck, we did not need much time up here to look around. It did not help that I had just watched one of the Final Destination movies, with a tower that collapses, but other than those thoughts in the back of my head, everything was solid. For the price point, I wish that you got some history, or a mini 'tour' at the observation decks with facts etc. While they do have a storyboard on the wall at the first observation deck, it's not quite the same.

Wish there is more to the CN Tower. Even the staff that sell the tickets really didn't "sell" the Tower. No interesting signage, there were monitors in a room but nothing was streaming to share anything special about the tower. Even the staff operating the elevators didn't say anything about the view, the height of the Tower, anything! When you get to the top the kiosk serving coffee wasn't even open; it would have been a much welcome thing to have hot beverages on a cold day. The only thing commendable is when I left my bucket hat, it was quickly returned to security and I was able to retrieve it.

I went to CN Towel on a weekday morning, earliest available spot. It was peaceful and had most of the space for myself. It was really nice to watch the flights take off and land at the Billy Bishop airport near by. The revolving restaurant was closed when I went, due to a labor protest. So unfortunately missed dining there. The thing I truly loved about this tower was the glass bottom area where you see all the way below. I went to Burj Khalifa as well but since Burj Khalifa floor space is occupied by other business, you dont get to see the bottom like we do here at CN. If you are hungry for a quick bite or a light lunch, try George's hot dogs ( a street cart in front of the tower), it is amazing.

Definitely recommend getting tickets online instead of waiting in line, I bought them on my phone for the selected time slot just outside the entrance and went in easily. You first scan your ticket for the waiting room, which is a nice little exhibit on the history of the tower, then when it's time for your slot, you're allowed entry into the elevator. I went just after the sun went down, and the views at night were stunning! Once you get to the top, you're free to roam, take pictures, and stay as long as you like. Don't forget the lower level included with general admission. The lower level does have an outer deck, but the high barrier keeps the cold out pretty well despite it being 40°F outside. The glass floora are only a small section, but still fun if brave enough to stand on them. There were 2 restaurants on the general admissionTicket price is relative compared to other city towers. There are two restaurants serving cocktails, wine, and beer on the GA level. Then there is the 360 restaurant you need reservations for. Had a fun time and enjoyed it here, though I've seen more offered at other attractions like this. Still recommend while in Toronto.

The must visit place in Toronto. Pictures speak louder than words. An evening well spent

I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience at the CN tower. We got the "all the way to the top" experience, which let you go up 30 more floors from the base top level. It's always cool to see a city from a high angle, but when you get up there it's a bit sterile. Mainly it's people taking photos from the glass. The "outdoor area" didn't look or feel like you were outside. The top area was particularly underwhelming and cramped. The views were worse than below, despite being higher, because it was mainly covered. I would have loved to see things about the history of the tower, the city of Toronto, or any other other attractions to entertain patrons. With the $60 CAD pricepoint, I sadly could not recommend this experience.

Definitely one of our bucket list items to visit in Toronto. CN Tower is an iconic attraction offering 360 degree views of Toronto. We were debating on whether we have lunch first before climbing to the top or just make the journey and queue up in the long line. We selected lunch at 360 Restaurant, which included complimentary access to the Main Observation Level after the meal. This was a far better experience for us and helped us avoid the long wait. There is a minimum of $75 food per person purchase requirement that we easily eclipsed with a multi-course lunch. The views from the Main Observation Level is breath-taking. It is said that you can see New York State on a clear day. The wasn't the case during this trip. Also, it was windy during our visit and caused the tower to sway. It was an interesting experience and we immediately appreciated the design of this engineering marvel. The Lower Observation Level has the glass floors providing guests with either wonder and amazement or heart-stopping sensation and fear. After watching a few kids complete a few jumping jacks and stomps, I believed they are sound and secure. There's also an OverView experience where you can lean out the edge 113 storeys high. This is almost similar to the TILT attraction in the 360 Chicago Building. There's an outdoor Terrace, which we didn't dare to venture out to see due to the winds. Finally the Artmoshpere is an immersive and interactive art centerpiece featuring animations by various Canadian artists. There's an EdgeWalk attraction for thrill seekers. Guests are harnessed in can walk the 5 foot wide ledge around the main pod. This experience is $199 CAD. Though the price was tempting, we decided to bookmark this for when we return. Queueing up to take the elevator to the ground floor was another adventure. There are stanchions to help guide guests to the elevators. Somehow there was confusion by staff on who was next in line causing the queue to grow and fruscustomers. Overall, I do recommend expriencing this iconic tower at least once. The views are simply amazing and the photos just don't do justice.

Came here to enjoy the downtown Toronto view. The views were amazing, food was a bit expensive but as expected for a tourist spot. But found the place clean

Go for the views! I was in town for a conference and a few people thought dinner at the CN tower would be a fun touristy thing to do. While you have to spend a min of $75CN a person I guess it's worth it if you were planning on going anyway. The restaurant is cool the way it rotates we got two full rotations during dinner so really got to soak in the city. There was a Leafs game the night we went so we got a nice view of a big screen from a nearby rooftop! The food was just ok, nothing special but we went at sunset so it was really nice to see the different views from daytime to night. After dinner we went down to the observation deck which felt a little wasteful since it was dark out and the gift shop area was already closed. I wouldn't do dinner again but I'd go for views a different time in the day.

The building management is the worst!…read more It is currently 24 degrees celsius outside, but I am shivering and my students have had parents come and drop off extra layers of clothing because the air conditioning is BLASTING. When the building manager has been asked to turn it down a little he simply turns it off, and the units become too hot. The situation is the same in the winter, when he merely cranks the heat to max and leaves it. Despite many of the tenants trying to explain the issue to the manager, the problem persists, and is chronic in both summer and winter. Beyond thermostat incompetence, he is also extremely rude. The two occasions I have been unfortunate to have dealt with him directly will hopefully be the only ones. The first was when one of the urinals in our floor's bathroom had been clogged with toilet paper, and he complained at length to our receptionist, blaming our students for the issue. I admitted, however unlikely, that it was possible one of our kids was to blame, but asked if he had also raised his concern with the other school on our floor, which consisted exclusively of teenagers who had, at that time, been in the process of noisily moving all of their office materials out of the building - presumably to one better managed. Instead of listening to or even acknowledging the possibility, he waived off my question and gave an insultingly patronizing brush-off response. My most recent (and hopefully last) interaction with him was a month or two ago, when I arrived at the building to teach a class at 9am and the doors were locked, despite several of the units inside already being open. I saw the manager at the other set of doors, spraying down the windows, so I walked around and asked politely if he could let me in so I could teach my class on time, to which he replied: "The building opens at 10." I told him that I understood his policy, but since he knew I worked there, and it would be very inconvenient for someone to come all the way downstairs to let me in from inside, I asked if he could just let me in with the keys dangling from his belt. Instead of doing that, or even saying that policy prevented him from doing so, he dropped the hose and walked away while muttering to himself. I don't know if famiy nepotism or blind ignorance on the part of the building owner is the reason this man is still employed, but the result is the same, and abysmal. As to janitorial staff, I'd suggest they be replaced too, but I don't think they exist...

    Richmond Hill David Dunlop Observatory

I'm not quite sure now how I came to learn about the RHDDO, but I sure am glad I did, somehow…read more Possibly it was due to the fact that Astronomy Day was coming up. My husband and daughter enjoy astronomy, so when I saw that we had an observatory with a special event, I jumped on the opportunity to take them there and find out all about this underappreciated venue. The facility was constructed back in the 1930's (opened in 1935.) At that time, Richmond Hill was the boonies, and light pollution was not an issue. Times have changed, of course. It is still situated in a large park, but you would never know it's hiding behind some trees when you drive up on Yonge Street and right past the perimeter. There is plenty of free parking, which is a nice bonus. The services are provided by volunteers, associated with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (or, rascals, as they like to call themselves.) David Dunlop's widow gifted the observatory to the University of Toronto. The main hall does indeed look just like an academic building you'd see in a British film. The beauty of the building lends itself well to its being available to be booked for private functions, including overnights just like a cinematic Night at the Museum. When you want to visit for lectures and events such as the one we went to, you need to book through the City of Richmond Hill. I had to create not only an account, but a profile for every one of us attending. It was a rather laborious task just to buy a ticket, but it's a one-time-only setup that covers us for all City of Richmond Hill programs at any of their facilities in future. Once I finally got through the work of creating an account and filling out our profiles, I purchased the tickets, which came out to just under $20/person. When we arrived for the evening's program, we were greeted by staff who gave us wristbands after checking us off the guest list. We were directed to the lecture room, and greeted by Quintin, our lecturer and one of several hosts for the evening. We were advised that we would be broken up into 2 groups in order to facilitate use of the telescopes outside, and visual presentation in another upstairs room. We came at a rather unfortunate time in that the dome was undergoing maintenance, so we would not be experiencing the main telescope (which is the largest in Canada and at one point was the second largest in the world) The volunteers actually provided their own personal scopes for us to use. It was a cloudy night, so we didn't see much besides the moon, but at least it wasn't raining, too windy, or too cold. This is one issue that you can't avoid when buying tickets: you will be at the mercy of the weather, and events will proceed rain or shine on their scheduled date. When we switched groups to move from the lawn to the upstairs room for the main lecture, we were warned that the room tends to be very warm. Luckily, just down the hall, there is a water dispenser that provided what has to be the cleanest, coldest, public water fountain I have ever experienced. It was highly appreciated. The ladies' washrooms were in the other direction down the hall. Again, the beauty of this building is not diminished by its age - if anything, it's enhanced by its period feel. Quintin's lecture was based around some astronomy apps that we learned about and anyone can use. He used the visuals to discuss planets, astronomical phenomena, and other subjects we ourselves brought up. He was able to answer just about every question we had, and if he wasn't 100% sure, he added where he believed the answer could be verified. If university classes were all this cool, we'd never graduate and just keep staying. Shoutout as well to the several other volunteers who provided telescopes and pointers out on the lawn. I am so glad I found out about this hidden gem. Even if you're not into astronomy, the surrounding park is an oasis of nature, and the venue is a beautiful option to be rented for parties and photography events. When the dome maintenance is finished, we definitely plan to return for the full experience.
