Beautiful castle with interesting history. My only complaint is that it's quite weird there's a random celebrity wax museum inside. And the top floor is a military museum. I enjoyed seeing both, but they just seemed very out of place.

First time coming back to visit since visiting during a school field trip over 10 years ago It was really cool to see what seems to remained and what is added. There are group tours but it is possible to do a self tour. They have a lot of signage and app/site for an audio tour. Also, I suggest to visiting the Scottish Tower over the Norman Tower. There is more stuff to see and do (events/games host in the tower, skyline, looking at the surrounding area, etc) in the Scottish Tower.

What an interesting location! Beautiful castle with lots of beautiful scenery and views. Tons of history, great snack and gift shop offerings. I wouldn't need to come back, but glad I was able to visit!

The place is a thrill because of all the discoveries we stumbled upon wandering around the huge place. In addition to learning about history, make sure to pick up the map to make sure you visit all the areas that many have missed. My favorite is the long underground tunnel that leads to the stables, garage, and the random celebrity wax museum. Our family went during the holiday season and they decorated everything very well, including the tunnel for great pictures. For anyone that enjoys scenic pictures mixed with beautiful historic interiors, you will find yourselves enjoying a few hours of fun.

Being able to go at my own pace and listen to the history on audio was a great way to Tori this huge castle. I was also so surprised for how much of the building is open to tour. They had started the setup for the Halloween/October festivities which look to be great.

I first visited Casa Loma on an elementary school trip eons ago. My classmates and I got into an orange school bus and magically arrived at a castle smack in a major city. I have little recollection on what we actually did here. I just know that I enjoyed being away from the classroom. Recently, I returned for the Legends of Horror two-kilometre experience. It wasn't scary, but I did appreciate the actors creeping many folks out. What I didn't like were extremely dark areas with no lighting, uneven dirt terrain, and no handrails by stairs for the first half of this trek. The bar broke up the craziness. My rum and coke hit the spot. The second-half was better with handrails, but it was still dark and a hazard. There were moments towards the end of this tour that I liked. When you are at the top of the castle, you get a beautiful, picturesque view of the Toronto skyline. I didn't appreciate it as a kid, but I did last month. This castle is gorgeous at night when it is lit up with coloured lights. This castle is well over a century old and it looks stunning. I paid for visitor parking for $20. It was weird speaking to the parking attendant who thought that I was here for a fancy ballroom party when I was dressed in a t-shirt and joggers. I did barge into the ballroom part of the castle. It looked gorgeous. The female staffer there directed me to where I needed to be for the Legends of Horror, so I was pleased. I'd love to drop by when it's closer to Christmas for Christmas at the Castle. I'd imagine that the trees and the castle look stunning. The BlueBlood Steakhouse is a restaurant that's a part of Casa Loma. It looks fancy. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to dine there unless I end up being a millionaire, and want steak and wine all the time... haha Casa Loma has two exhibits: - Girl Guide - Vintage car I feel the need to do a tour. I don't recall taking in these exhibits, let alone all the rooms and floors that this landmark has. It's cool having a castle in Toronto. I'll likely return and be a tourist at this castle down the road. I'd recommend getting a CityPass because it's cheaper when you buy a handful of admission tickets to various sites. (424)

The castle is stunning. And the gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. You can visit the museum on daily basis, 9:30am - 5pm. Or you can dine in at Blue Blood steakhouse or in the Gardens. You can also reserve the gardens for weddings and social events. There's a limited number of paid parking spaces available on the premises. We came here for "Symphony in the Gardens", Rock Night and enjoyed the music, view and the vibe. The event was well-organized and you could choose to sit in the covered area or at the dining tables in the gardens and enjoy your food and drinks with the live music.

It was pretty cool to see a castle so close to the vicinity of the city. It definitely took a few hours of the day to go through the whole castle, so I guess I got my money's worth. It was also cool to see the castle where the X-Men movies were filmed.

With a few spare hours the next morning, we decided to get one more stop in on our City Pass and go for a visit to Casa Loma. At ine time, this was the largest private home in Canada, then left to rott, it's been restored to its former glory and is now open for yours. You may recognize the house from many movies as well, as it's often used for filming. Most notably, I recognized it from the X-men Movies, but it has also been used in movies featuring Vin Diesel, Jackie Chan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Samuel L Jackson and so many others. The house itself is downright impressive, both in scale and detail, especially considering how long ago it was built. The house is filled with period furniture as well as items belonging to the original owner. The tour is self guided, with audio info you can listen to as you scroll the many room. They even had an actor roaming the house in character of the original builder, Sir Henry Pellatt. You learn a lot about the house on the tour, the owners life and also about the city of Toronto. This was a great experience and being included in the city pass, it made it all the better. We had a great time, and would recommend it

During our last visit to Toronto, we went to Casa Loma. A beautiful castle perched atop a hill overlooking downtown. Taking public transportation to get here it's easy. Just take the subway to the Dupont station, and walk about 7 minutes to the main entrance. The grounds were well manicured and the fountains surrounded by beautiful flowers and gardens. We dined in the restaurant and the experience was very good. A great deal to get the Toronto City Pass if you have time to hit 3 of the major tourist attractions, which Casa Loma is one of them.

I love history and Casa Loma and headed there on Tuesday to enjoy their festive celebration. There's lots to do. I started by touring the castle and the towers. Despite the rain, it was fun to be outside and check out the Norman Tower (along with the Scottish Tower). I felt like a kid again climbing the stairs and exploring! The highlight for me was going though the tunnel to the stables. I had a nice chat with Twinkle Toes, the elf! The singing reindeer are amazing! I didn't check out any of the performances as I was too busy touring around.

I've come to Casa Loma a few times for some pretty cool events including their haunted mansion. Everything is always great here; service, atmosphere and of course the architecture. PS 300th review

Just had my first visit here for the Christmas themed / lights display. We did arrive later than expected unfortunately so didn't get to see all of the inside but what we did see was wonderful! Outside it was bitter-cold, but it was worth the wait to see all of the lights and characters! Great detail went into this and our group of 14 had a "jolly" time! Expect to hear music, see beautiful lights, an animatronic grinch, cast and characters galore, Mrs, Claus, Santa, etc...! At the "end" you can buy a picture with Santa for I believe $20 Canadian. I think I saw warm drinks for sale too. You can buy tickets ahead of time or at the entrance. Dress warm and have a wonderful time! This is definitely for all ages: Our group was all adults and had a blast!

I surprised the Mrs. with this tour as an Anniversary gift. She wasn't enthused at first but my…read morerationale was for us to do something different as we both enjoy beer. However, our beer knowledge is limited to Coors Light and Corona so this tour will give us an opportunity to learn more about this concoction. We didn't quite know what to expect on this tour as it was rainy and a bit cold (not bad for a late October day however). We met the group and our guide in front of Steamwhistle Brewery at 11am. Our guide Noah (AKA Chris) was there to greet us. Along with my wife and I, there were 7 other people that were there to be part of the tour. Noah introduced himself, took us inside and led us upstairs where he told us about the company and Oliver, a little bit of a beer history of Toronto and what we will be doing on this tour. BTW, as soon as you arrive upstairs, they provide you with a beer. This is a sign for things to come... A guide from Steamwhistle, Dan, came to tell us about the company and lead us to a tour of the facility. This took approximately 40 minutes and once we came back to the room upstairs, Noah had lunch prepared for us. Lunch consisted of charcuterie: Pretzels buns, assorted meats and cheeses. Let's just say nobody was disappointed as it was very good. Then, we left and hopped into a yellow school bus. This was going to be our mode of transportation for the rest of the tour. Our driver Clem (I believe that was his name) was awesome. Our next stop was Fort York. Noah took us to a little tour of the museum and explain to us the history of Toronto in the 1800's and its relation with beer. No beer tasting in this stop. Afterwards, we went to a driving tour of Corktown and its history. This particular section of the tour wasn't long for us but it depends on the Downtown traffic. It wasn't bad for us. Later, we were dropped off at the Distillery District. We went to Izumi or Ontario Spring Water Sake Company first to taste some Sake. A worker from Izumi, Godfrey, told us about the company and the process of making Sake. We got to sample 3 different types of Sake: Nama-Nama, Genshu and Teion Sakura. Our second stop within the Distillery was Mill St. pub. where Noah offered us the different types of beers that Mill St. offers and the how it differs from each other via process and taste. We had some pretzels bites for appetizers. Then we had some time to explore the Distillery before leaving for our last stop. The manufacturing facility is in Scarborough so therefore it is out of the way. We departed the Distillery for Amsterdam Brewery in Leaside. Here, as Noah warned us earlier, the beers come fast and hard. There's no tour of the facility because they only have it twice a day and it doesn't fit this tour. However, Noah led us with the sampling of around 7 (I believe) Amsterdam beers. The most interesting one was Fracture. My wife and I took part of the optional meal at the Granite Brewery in Yonge and Eglinton. A full meal with another sampling of 4 beers. Noah was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. He made sure to keep our group relaxed and focused at the same time. He was also time conscious which is a must leading a tour group. He made sure that we were all enjoying the tour plus he was very quick to learn all of our names. This tour goes from 11am to 6pm so be prepared but they have staggered the stops at a perfect pace that you never feel like you are in a rush to get to another location. This tour is not cheap but it's worth it. You will sample more than enough beer and I don't think anyone from our group felt that they were not giving us enough beer at any time. Actually, most of us felt the opposite, that it was too much beer. You will be getting a history lesson about beer and its place in Toronto. Even though I gave 5 stars, they could improve the tour by offering more food along the stops and somehow including the tour of the Amsterdam brewery into the tour. We really don't do anything at Amsterdam besides just sit and drink the offered beers. Kudos to the Old Toronto Beer Tour Company and Noah for creating this wonderful tour and making my wife very happy! You saved me from having me sleep in the couch for a few days. Highly recommended.

They operate under several company names (such as Royal Niagara Tours), and pair those false names with empty business addresses to hide from complaints, deflect enquiries to "whatever tour computer booked through" (our tour guide Ali's words), and try and confuse anyone who tries to chase them to get their money back. We bought tour tickets from the Royal Niagara Tours website for the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights tour. Their website advertised several different packages with optional inclusions, of which we chose the most expensive package that included all the sights and dinner. The trip started off with confusion and chaos. The bus arrived late, the tour guide (Ali) didn't know who he was picking up, and didn't know what activities anyone was doing. After a speedy bus trip (including plenty of horn blasting) to Niagara, we were hastily pushed to do activities that weren't included in the itinerary we booked. We couldn't ask questions because the tour guide (Ali) was extremely dismissive and rude and brushed us off while continuing to shout at other tour members. He tried to excuse his disrespectful behaviour by saying "he naturally has a loud voice", and has "37 years of your experience" as an excuse for his dismissiveness. Afterwards the tour guide (Ali) demanded we pay him for the activities, on top of the tour we already paid for. Although we bought the most expensive tour package, we were given the same experience as people who paid for the cheapest tour package. As for the sightseeing and activities, we didn't see most of the things advertised. What we did see was via a quick drive by on the bus. Taking photos of the Winter Festival of Lights wasn't possible on a moving bus. We didn't go to Niagara-on-the-lake as advertised. Seeing the falls illuminated was from the bus while we were leaving. The Winter Festival of Lights fireworks show advertised was to start at 8pm, but our tour guide (Ali) rushed everyone on to the bus and left at 7:30pm, angrily shouting at us that the fireworks had ended (even though the restaurant staff confirmed the fireworks show happened the night before and would be happening again that night). There was no time to explore Clifton Hill as advertised, and we were told by our tour guide (Ali) that if we wanted to see it we should eat fast. There was no free time at all even though they advertised 2-3 hours of free time. But the worst part of all was the dinner experience. The group dinner table was in the back corner of the restaurant, where we could barely see Niagara Falls, and the table didn't have enough seats for all guests. While waiting for a solution my girlfriend politely asked if there was somewhere else we could sit instead, but our tour guide (Ali) raised his voice towards her and told her that she was just "complaining, complaining, complaining!". Once the restaurant staff brought some extra chairs we headed to the buffet, but our tour guide (Ali) literally jumped in front of my girlfriend, raising his voice once again and saying "so you're not eating now!?", to which we politely and calmly replied that "we are going to the buffet to get food", which received yet another raised voice response from our tour guide (Ali) of "then why are you taking your bags!?". This is the point where I asked for contact details to call the tour company, as our tour guides behaviour was becoming too much to tolerate. The tour company representative agreed to settle for a refund, and asked me to send an email detailing the issues, which I did, but not surprisingly, after 3 months of trying, they still neglect to respond or give us our refund. Unfortunately there is a word limit for this review, but overall this was one of the worst tour experiences we've ever been on. We paid a premium price for what was supposed to be a unique and special Winter Festival of Lights experience, we were rushed around in disorganised and confused chaos, we didn't receive the advertised package of experiences, and we were treated horribly by the tour guide (Ali). We could've had a better experience for half the price by booking our own bus to and from Niagara, buying our own tickets for experiences, buying our own dinner, and saving ourselves the poor treatment from a rude tour guide and scam your company. I would not recommend anyone to book through Royal Niagara Tours or Zoom Tours, and carefully investigate any Niagara Tour company before booking, as they will more than likely try to hide behind some other business name.

I also noticed they update and some changes to the decors for each area, leading me to find something new each time I visit. I ended up bumping with the creator or this place, Mr. Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer. It was the first time I ever bumped into him after visiting so many times. The staff was quite surprised to see him on site on a Saturday. I told him it really an honour to meet him in person and I told him how happy I was to visit Little Canada. I noticed that Sundays are not as a busy during Winter. Saturday was much more busier, with lots more people and even school visits. I noticed on my last visit, there was no more spring water station. I don't know if it is permanent or not. Their coat check was also not working. Instead, they had racks sitting outside at the entrance though the coat check is free of charge. I highly recommend to get an individual pass or a family pass, especially if you are a fan of miniatures. I feel I always discover something new on each visit. Good for a year with unlimited visits and also 10% discount in the gift shop. It also gives a 25% discount each time for your visitors. If not buying a pass, pre-purchase your ticket online also saves up to $4 on admission. It costs much more to purchase admission on site.
