The boat was 2 floors, the first floor being entirely inside, the top deck had a covered portion and an open portion. We opted for the top deck for some fresh air. They did offer snacks and drinks for sale on the lower portion, though we didn't even check the rates since we had just had a small lunch. The actual boat ride was around an hour, going out into the lake and around the islands by the small Toronto private airport. Throughout the cruise the trip was narrated, with facts about the city, pointing things out as we pass through the islands and answering questions from passengers. It was definitely an enjoyable trip, nice to sit and relax for a bit and enjoy the fresh air. Seeing the city from the top of the CN Tower was a unique view, but also nice to see the city from the water and the unique shapes that make up the skyline. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more I spent over $400 on 16 tickets for the Sunset Cruise for my birthday on September 27, 2025. We never made it because Toronto was completely gridlocked from the Messi event. I called and was told by one of the operators that I would be able to use the tickets another time, so I wasn't worried. When I actually tried to rebook, nobody answered the phone. After calling over and over, I was forced to use their texting service. Suddenly, I was told my tickets couldn't be used, I couldn't get a refund, and they wouldn't offer any credit or compensation. Instead, they told me to contact travel insurance. I'm from Northern Ontario. Why would I buy travel insurance for a day trip within my own province? Keeping over $400 for tickets that were never used and refusing to work with a customer in any way is terrible business. The complete lack of communication, impossible customer service, and unwillingness to stand behind what your staff told me is unacceptable. I won't be booking with this company again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either.

Review for Zoom Tours Niagra Falls ---1 star and…read more Tour Guide, Garry---4 stars 4 Stars for our Tour Guide First, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our personable, kind, respectful, knowledgable, and hospitable tour guide, Garry, with Zoom Tours to Niagra Falls on July 15th, 2026. Garry had a great sense of humor while also being earnest. We learned a lot, laughed often, and enjoyed the other tourists on our bus. 1 Star for Transportation (false advertising) The bus however, was advertised by Zoom Tours as: "Transportation by luxury minibus or motorcoach". As a former teacher who has taken students on numerous field trips, this was nothing fancier than a school bus:  the vinyl seats were horribly uncomfortable, and unlike a school bus, had no seatbelts.  To make matters worse, it appeared that the bus had zero shock absorption and poor suspension, as every nook, cranny, and bump were felt the entire trip. There were countless instances that all of us were jarred forward or up from our seats, through no fault of our driver.   Fifteen minutes into the tour the microphone began to produce annoying static until it eventually broke and did not come back on until the last quarter of the trip on the way back, which was still annoying because it was still producing static, making what the driver said undecipherable. We received a solicitous email from Zoom Tours after the tour requesting a review. I sent them a private email with the details in this review and they replied with an apology for our disappointment, an explanation, "due to an unexpected equipment change on the day of your tour, we had to substitute the originally scheduled vehicle to avoid cancelling the tour altogether". While I can appreciate "last minute" problems, this company also states that customers must give 24 hours cancellation notice in order to receive a full refund. We did not receive ANY notice of a change in "equipment", therefore not giving us a chance to proceed or cancel our tour. Zoom Tours' offer of a "small token of $50 Canadian Dollars" does not match the $294.68 U.S. dollars that we paid for something that we did not sign up for. We are very disappointed that Zoom Tours did not provide us with the ability to cancel as well their lack of adequate compensation for the many uncomfortable hours we spent on the full day bus tour to and from Toronto and Niagra Falls.

I arrived on a Saturday late afternoon and paid $13 cash to board. I only had to wait 5 minutes for the boat to arrive and it was just me and another passenger heading to the island. The trip was pleasant and quick. I came back from Hanlan's point after dark and once again there was only me and another passenger returning. Meanwhile a massive long line was forming for the public ferry on the return trip. The staff didn't collect my $13 payment until I exited the boat. I like that we didn't have to wait around for other passengers to fill up the boat. It was so convenient. They also run until 1am! Staffs were also very friendly.

From start to finish, this was an extremely professional and well-organized experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the day. One of the best parts is how convenient the pickup system is -- they have pickup locations near all the major hotels in Toronto, which makes the whole process incredibly easy for travelers. There are several add-on options for the tour, and I highly recommend three of them: 1. The boat ride into the falls 2. Journey Behind the Falls 3. The helicopter ride The helicopter ride especially is one of those "you only live once" experiences. If it's outside your budget, though, the boat ride and Behind the Falls are still more than enough to make for an amazing full day. One thing I'd personally skip is the tower stop. The views are fine, but honestly the tower in Toronto is much better. Now for the one major warning: the cancellation and rescheduling policy is brutal. Even if your flight is delayed or canceled and you provide proof, you are still out the full amount. No refund, no reschedule, no flexibility. We learned this the hard way after our flight got badly delayed. I contacted them hoping to move our booking to the next day and basically got told, "good luck and goodbye." That said... the story has a happy ending. We ended up sprinting through the airport, grabbing a taxi directly from the terminal to the pickup location, and arrived at 8:03 for an 8:00 AM pickup. I had been communicating with them during the chaos and they agreed to hold the bus for five minutes. We used three of those five minutes like it was the final scene of an action movie... but we made it. In the end, I absolutely recommend this tour. Just book carefully, maybe avoid scheduling it immediately after your arrival flight, or get travel insurance for peace of mind. If you plan ahead, you're going to have an incredible time with a professional, organized tour company at Niagara Falls.
