    Osgoode Subway Station, Toronto
    Bruce K.

With sore feet, I made my way down the steps at Osgoode station, waved my Presto card at the kiosk and continued down to the platform where I caught a southbound train. Osgood Station is on the Yonge-University "Line 1" between St. Patrick (towards Vaughan) and St. Andrew (towards Finch). It is a center platform station which means that the doors of the train will open on the left. The station is handicapped accessible though I did not see the elevator which is in the Four Seasons Centre. There are open stairways from the sidewalk at street level. At the ticketing level, the usual kiosks and turnstiles are in place. This is an A-OK station for Toronto. It does a good job, it's in a great location at Queen Street West and University Avenue. There is free wifi available in the station. [Review 11001 overall, 774 of 2019.]

Queen and University. That's where this place is. Osgood Hall being on the north east corner of this wider than normal intersection, the Four Seasons Performing Arts Centre being at the south east while 250 Uni is at the south west and Campbell House is at the north west. There's entrances at all four corners with elevator access for both north and southbound routes. The station has undergone a bit of a facelift. Now the walls of the station look like just about every other station out there with the subway tile look instead of that slatted faded wood color look from years ago. Shiny old is how I'd explain it now. Osgoode is proposed to be a terminus point in one of the TTC plans for the downtown relief that was proposed to go between Osgoode and Pape stations along Queen, King and down Pape: https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2016/05/31/preferred-route-of-downtown-relief-line-revealed.html Both the 501 Queen and 502 "Downtowner" cross this station by surface. Transfers from streetcar to subway can be done with proof of purchase or transfer from origin ride (bus, subway station etc). 501 Queen - This is a very long route that goes all the way from the Long Branch loop at Lakeshore near Browns Line and works it's way to the Humber Loop near Parkside and Queensway, goes along Queensway where Queen street west starts (at Roncesvalles), passing both Osgoode and Queen subway stations and then goes east along Queen all the way to the Neville Park loop at the Beaches near Victoria Park. 502 Downtowner - This route starts at Victoria Park and Kingston Road and goes west along Kingston along Queen street passing both Queen and Osgoode stations and looping at McCaul street just west University Ave.
