We were first introduced to them back when they had their tasting room at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. The setting there was incredibly welcoming--especially with our three young kids at the time--and between the atmosphere and the wines, we were hooked from the start. The wines are consistently outstanding. Their Lake County lineup really stands out, and the Volcanic Estate Cabernet has been a go-to in our house for years--it's always been reasonably priced and somehow overdelivers every single time we open a bottle. On the other end of the spectrum, the Half Mile is more of a special occasion wine for us, and it never disappoints. Winemaker Alex clearly knows what he's doing--his reds are fantastic across the board. The Cabernet, Petit Verdot, and Malbec from that volcanic Lake County fruit are bold, expressive, and incredibly well made. We've been wine club members for years now, which says a lot. Great wines, great people, and a place that's been part of our family's wine journey for a long time. Highly recommend.

Everyone who works here is incredibly passionate about the story behind the wine, as well as the wine. I loved talking to the staff about the different wines and being able to hear fun facts. There's a ton of different seating outside- the inside is pretty small, but don't let that fool you. there is plenty of space for everyone here. While we opted for the tasting, as we haven't been here in several years, if you're looking to just get a glass- do yourself a favor and try the chardonnay.

I was looking for an all red flight, and Carlo happily created one for me that I would for sure enjoy. For Designated Drivers, there are two non-alcoholic sparkling wines from Italy to try so no one feels left out. The tasting menu has light bites to complement the wines such as a charcuterie board, cheese plates, and chips. Carlo lets you know what goes well with the wine you're having. And for after tasting, a variety of coffees. The wines I tried were all delicious. I purchased 3 bottles. (Note: You can ask for a "dump bucket" but you don't need one because the wines are very good.) 1. Old Vine Rosé - So good and very popular that they have it on tap! 2. Whole Hog - A delicious Rhône! 3. Eleve Cabernet - drinks like a Bordeaux. When in Downtown Sonoma, please stop by and give them a try. It's a nice break from shopping or a good place to sit and chat with friends for the afternoon.

Our group attended Three Sticks' signature annual event, Destination Durrell, as paying guests and…read morearrived at the instructed 11:00 AM start time with confirmation in hand. Unfortunately, we were greeted by one of the female owners with a level of hostility, condescension, and rudeness that was genuinely shocking. Rather than welcoming guests to what is marketed as a premier hospitality event, she immediately treated us as though we were inconveniencing her simply by arriving as instructed. Her tone was dismissive, combative, and deeply unprofessional throughout the interaction. In an industry built on hospitality, it was one of the most unpleasant guest experiences I have ever had at a winery. It is especially disappointing because the wines are excellent--but no quality of wine can overcome ownership that treats guests this poorly. Hospitality begins at the top, and based on this experience, the culture here reflects that. We will not return, and I would strongly encourage others seeking a warm, gracious wine country experience to spend their time and money elsewhere.

If this is what Sonoma grandpas are like, we want to meet more of them. Mr. Bill has the kindest spirit, light, joyful, welcoming, and genuinely present with everyone. That energy truly set the tone for the night. There were two bartenders working as well, and they were just as personable and down-to-earth. Our glasses never went empty. While they don't have bar snacks yet, the sense of community was real, people around the bar were happily sharing Trader Joe's snacks, which honestly added to the charm. The vibe here was incredible. Between the friendly crowd, comfortable seating, and bright, inviting lighting, it felt easy to settle in and stay awhile. I'll definitely be back, mainly to see Mr. Bill, but also to sip on some Chris Bubbles.
