My first meeting with Tim Roemer gave me the impression of a man who is personally involved in his projects, who has a natural, friendly, and attentive interaction with his customers, and who cares about their wishes and concerns. As he described the various steps of the job and why they would best protect my house from the elements, I felt confidence in him, and my little concerns, such as protection of walkways and efficient removal of scraped old paint, melted away. His bid was very fair. He prices his jobs honestly and consistently, without puffing up the bid who see who will go for it. The job was done without interruption, with crew members present every work day. They were without exception friendly, capable, and easy to talk to about the job. They had good communication between them, so that if I asked one of them about something he would either tell me the answer or get in touch with his foreman or with Tim. All of them, including the crew, the general foreman, and Tim, were accessible and responsive. The work itself more than lived up to my initial confidence. They paid attention to detail, they were careful to cover or patch all the many cracks, they checked each stage several times, they did an amazing job of diminishing the stucco variations from prior repairs, they kept the areas very clean, and they helped me decide a few things, such as which parts of the foundation to paint. Throughout the job there was an attitude of wanting to get things done right, even if it took more time than expected. In addition to all that, I am grateful to Tim for his patience. I had not chosen the wall color when he started preparing the house, because of the many factors that can make paint choices elusive. Tim came more than once to help with suggestions and to ask a crew member to paint a big sample on the wall for me, which I appreciated, as I had already painted more than three dozen before and during the job, and I was tired of it. As Tim got closer to needing the wall color, I would ask just how long I had, and he would tell me, and I took up until the last minute to decide, and then he had to go through the same procedure for the trim color. I respect Tim Roemer as a person and as a businessman. I have a lasting positive feeling toward his team of people. The job on my house was done so well that it surprises and delights me every time I look at it. Can I say more? read more
