Not as fabulous as reviewed. Stop in on Saturday morning place was jammed so description "good for groups" totally inaccurate. Wait staff we had was not so attentive but rather spent more time talking up full conversations rather than keeping customers satisfied. The owner stood between the 2 separate rooms like a human roadblock even though he could have been more useful busing tables. Food was mediocre no regular sausage just Italian (who eats Italian sausage with pancakes?). News flash...that sausage is for pasta, subs lasagna. Love to stop here for breakfast when we are in the vicinity. Very small, local restaurant. The breakfasts are usually excellent. This time when stopped for breakfast the breakfasts we ordered were not as good as usual. My husband ordered the peach pancakes and they were a little undercooked around the fruit. We always enjoy our food at Rodio's. Breakfast is our favorite meal there. They have a large variety of breakfast choices. The pancakes are unique and delicious. Best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. I've been to 5 star restaurants with famous chef's who couldn't make eggs Benedict this well! Obviously I loved my breakfast with also included a peach pancake that was fluffy and soft. The only thing that could have made it better would have been homemade peach syrup. My husband had an omelette that he said was good but he really liked the scrapple which he said was cooked perfectly. The staff was great, very friendly. The place is small and not at all fancy but we'll definitely be back to try the other options. Absolutely worth a try. read more

Three of us were driving from Philly to Cape May and stopped here for breakfast. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service was great and everyone was super warm and welcoming. We had THEE best pancakes (and I'm not even a pancake fan) and all the rest of our food was great too. Highly recommend. read more

The "waitress" and/or owner was one of the rudest people I've ever come across. We waited a long time to place our order because she acted like we weren't even there and she was too busy chatting with her friends in her little shack of a restaurant. She acted annoyed with us and wouldn't give my mom a napkin for my 9 month old. She arrogantly said, "Napkins are given out when your order is ready." Then when our food was ready she belligerently said out loud that our pancakes are ready and we were staring at her but not moving to come get our food. She's lazy and did the bare minimum as far as customer service. Was hoping the food would make up for it, but that was even subpar. If I could give this place no stars I would. This place is totally and by far the best place to stop at for breakfast or lunch on the back way to the shore! Do not be fooled by the appearance of it either! These types of places always turn out to be the best! They have very unique specials and their food is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I now live closer to it and will be spending most of my Sat/Sun having breakfast/lunch here! The owners are nice and you feel like you're at home! Sit at the bar for quick service! 5 Star for small diner style. Family run, friendly, welcoming, local joint. The delish menu is displayed on the walls. Loved the fresh spinach, sausage omelete & the asparagus eggs Benedict. Not sure why 2 reviews said they couldn't find the place. It's right off 54 & you can see the restaurant from the road. You come for the food not the decor. But clean, good food, & great service. Great breakfast spot. Had jersey strawberry pancakes and hot Italian sausage - it was great!. The specials on the menu all come from local jersey vegetables. The place is a little run down - but who cares. It is great food at a decent price. Wife had nj asparagus and tomato omelet. It was huge and great. GREAT local breakfast spot located just outside of Hammonton! 2-2-2 (two eggs, two pancakes, and two breakfast meats) with two scrambled eggs, two links of hot Italian sausage, and two OREO pancakes. The eggs were really good, and the sausage was great (as a fan of spicy food, I have to say I like the idea of hot sausage for breakfast and wish more breakfast joints would follow suit) but the Oreo pancakes were possibly life-changing. What a wonderful, gluttonous idea. I am sure somebody is going to steal this idea and run with it at some point, but I doubt they will make them better than they were at Rodio's. I also got a side of home fries that were among the best home fries I've ever eaten. HIGHLY recommended! read more

From the moment my husband and I walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and welcomed warmly. A sample of the pumpkin pancake was immediately brought to the table. It was delicious. Michelle took our order and made excellent recommendations. She said to try their sausage and she was right. So wonderfully flavored it melted in my mouth. The home fries /potatoes had so much flavor as well. Michelle explained the two day prep they use to make their potatoes and it's easy to see why they taste so amazing. Our meals were so affordable. Rodios is one of the best hole in the wall breakfast places I have ever been to. They have a breakfast sandwich with long hots, italian sausage and eggs that is fantastic. I highly recommend the seasonal pancakes, as well as the cream chipped beef. They give out pancakes for you to try occasionally , which my girlfriend loved. The only issue is the place is a little on the smaller side, so if you're gonna go in with a large group I would recommend calling ahead. Also, Rodios has the honor of creating the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had. Actually, I think after writing this Im gonna head there right now. Serious. read more

Went there this morning with my friend and it was quite a pleasant surprise! I've been living in the area for almost 2 years but rarely eat out around here, especially breakfast. But I had a guest so found this gem and she was super happy too! :) I had the eggs Benedict on a biscuit (soooo good!) and homefries (perfectly seasoned). My friend had the cheese steak omelette and she said it was pretty amazing too! I'll definitely be back for the French toast (we were too stuffed today lol) because they smelled awesome! read more

Let me start with a positive, the food is really good portions are a nice size for the price and the staff is pleasant. That being said, there were flies all over the place. I don't know about you but when I eat I do not want flies bothering me and trying to land on my food. Especially if I'm eating inside. I am all for supporting local businesses but this is ridiculous. This is my second time going to this place the first time was in the summer and there were ants all over the table. I will not be giving them a third chance. I can get passed the fact that it's a tiny place and you are eating so close to the other person you feel like you are eating with them. I can get passed the horrible décor but annoying bugs while I eat, NO THANK YOU. read more

Stopped today for lunch at Rodio's Kitchen. It's a unpretentious as an eatery can be, with a short counter with stools and just a few tables but what they do, breakfast and lunch, they do better than anyone else in the area. If your traveling on Route 54 between Hammonton and Vineland, or on Mays Landing Road near Folsom, I suggest you give them a try. Pass up all those inferior eating places in Hammonton or Vineland and stop a Rodio's. You'll become a fan like so many others who have tied them in the last 27 years. read more

This place is a great local spot if you have a small party. No more than 4 since it's a pretty small spot. I had Oreo pancakes which were great and an omelette which I really don't have anything to complain about. The coffee wasn't weak and watered down like most places I've gone to so I think they should be commended for that. The only downside of this place is that it's not the cleanest place in the world. A few flies around, a bit of mildew in the bathroom. But hey you know what they say, the greasiest spots make the juiciest food. read more

I was lucky enough to find this place when my car broke down. My car was pushed to this wonderful mom and pops restaurant. The following day as I waited for the tow truck I had a chance to try their apple sampler. Delicious apple pancakes! My husband had eggs and home fries. The home fries were seasoned just right.. cooked the right amount of time, just the best I ever had. Best thing is the friendly service. Located across from the Folsom Elementary School (1346 Mays Landing Rd, Hammonton, NJ 08037) this small but quaint restaurant is really good eats. I stop here for breakfast on the weekends when they are busier but I never had an issue with the service, cleanliness, or the food. I really like the seasonal specialty of pumpkin pancakes with raisins. And during the blueberry season, the blueberry pancakes are really good. The place is small and is hidden in plain sight but it is worth stopping by! read more
