There was a group of noisy people having some sort of picnic past 10 PM right outside our door at the picnic tables provided there. Quiet hours are clearly posted from 10 PM until 8 AM, so I did need to call down to the front desk twice to ask the staff to enforce those rules. After the second call, everything quieted down. The temperature outside was blazing, and the air-conditioning unit worked very well. Beds were also very comfortable, with good quality linen. Lots of plugs available for your many devices.

The temperature knob in our mini fridge was missing so it took us a while to figure out how to make it cooler. The ac kept the room nice and cool but it was very loud, sounded like it was struggling big time. They had a smart TV, we were able to access netflix, amazin prime and another service (i cant remember) The arcade was decent but was prob better for smaller kids. Our kids still enjoyed it. The family pool was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. It was about 90 something degrees when we went but the water was too cold for me! The kids and my husband had fun on the slides they had. They don't allow outside food or drinks but they had a little bar/snack shack. We did have to pay an additional 15$ for an extra pool wristband. 4 were given for a double bed room. The private beach was very cute but we didn't really spend any time there unfortunately. The ice machine was working and was a short distance from our room. We got panda express pretty late in the day, the food was a little sad but it was expected. We were located in the central tower, maybe all the terrible reviews werw from different areas of the hotel? Who knows. The sinks and toilets were dirty, the refrigerator barely stayed cold, and the air conditioner never cooled the room enough to be comfortable. The pool was dirty, overcrowded, and not enjoyable. The drinks were also extremely overpriced--$17 for a drink that definitely wasn't worth the cost. The casino was another disappointment. The amount of cigarette smoke combined with poor ventilation was overwhelming and gave me a headache. One experience that really concerned me involved my 10-year-old nephew. He hurt himself while we were at the pool, and when we asked a staff member for an alcohol pad, we were told they didn't have any. I couldn't understand how a hotel with a pool wouldn't have basic first-aid supplies readily available. After my brother found another employee, we were finally given two alcohol pads, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. If it had just been my husband and me, we would have packed up and driven the four hours back home or found another hotel. Since we were traveling with our children, we decided to make the best of it. I ended up wiping down the room and bathroom with bleach wipes myself and told the kids to keep their shoes on the entire time because I didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. One final thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the number of stares we received for being Black. I can't say what anyone was thinking, but we had several moments that made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the price.
