Surprisingly nice in the middle of the desert. This is a reasonably priced ($40), quiet and very well maintained KOA. We would definitely stay again. We arrived at 6:54pm and were surprised to find the store still open with a friendly attendant inside. She greeted me by name (I'd put our expected arrival time in our reservation) and had detailed camp ground information waiting for us. She said she's in the shop from 7am - 7pm every day. The grounds were very tidy and well kept. The entire place was smooth, fine gravel without mud or pot holes. Our site was very easy to pull through and the utilities all worked. They have made efforts to make it a very comfortable place. The store was very cute with the usual stuff but also had a section of items such as specialty salsas and jams. The grounds have a very nice, fenced dog park. It had been fully policed so you weren't stepping over piles poo. They provided poo bags and a trash can as well as horse shoe pits, a nice double swing and a fire pit if you wanted to enjoy an evening outside. We did not use the pool, bath house or laundry so I cannot provide feedback of those facilities. Because the attendant and facilities were so pleasant, I chose 5 stars. If I'd had the option, I would have chosen 4-1/2 only because the water pressure in our camper wasn't the best. We were able to flush the toilet and shower but it did take a bit to get the shampoo out of my hair. I'd have preferred better water pressure but it was usable and did the job. read more

This is a really nice Campground to stop at, close to the highway, clean bathrooms, easy sites to get into and out of. There is a nice fenced in dog run, or plenty of open space to let them run just outside of the grounds. The staff was very helpful and friendly too read more

This is a KOA Journey, so it's a clean rest stop. The store is well stocked, and staff is quite friendly. We don't have kids anymore, but it sounds like this is a good place for them. We've been to many KOAs and no, this isn't the fanciest, but it works. read more

This is my favorite KOA. It's quiet. It's clean. I think it has nice areas to walk dogs, contrary to some other reviewers. The mail processing is professional and better than any park that I've been to. The staff are courteous and helpful. Not sure how this location received 4.5 stars. The only plus side here are the nice people who work here and the clean pool/office area. otherwise it's kind of dumpy. And it smells like sewer in the back area where they stuck us! enough to make me gag! VERY desolate, dry, gravelly. internet is horrible!! and NO WHERE CLOSE to the river. If you just need a quick stop for the night then leaving first thing in the morning this is perfect. otherwise look elsewhere. 3 stars simply because I'm not that much of a biatch. read more

This is my favorite KOA, and we've stayed at quite a few. We just came from the Lazy Days KOA in Tucson, and, while that one was nice, it was far too 'busy,' which I guess some would prefer but not us. The Tucson KOA was more like camping in a children's playground than a campground. This KOA is quiet. There is a vibe of quietness that we love. The staff here are courteous and helpful. Great dog walking areas. Not many grocery stores, but good restaurants nearby. The best mail handling of any KOA, or any other camp, hands down. Clean sites. We wish we were staying longer and will definitely stay again. read more

The hosts are very nice but the campground seems like its in the middle of the desert with nothing around. It is on the side of a busy highway so it was very noisy and hard to sleep to. The ground was dry so it was hard to insert our sticks into the ground for our tent. There are a lot of mosquitoes. read more

We recently bought an Travel Trailer and every time I asked my husband where he wanted to go he said Needles KOA because we had the pool to ourselves. I finally gave in even though it's 109 degrees it was the same lady that was here our first time. My BF introduced me to KOA's when we meet and we plan our road-trips around different KOA locations. This place is great! We were the only tent campers there so we got our pick of the 10 or so different tent sites in the campground. Our campsite had water, electricity, and a grill and a fire circle in the cabin next to us we were allowed to use. We made sure to bring an extension cord so we were able to set up a light inside of our tent. The facilities were super clean and well maintained. There was a lounge to hang out in with books, a microwave, a huge tv, and pool table. The lounge technically closes at 9 but we were told we could stay as long as we wanted as long as we were quiet and closed it up when we left. There were no tent pads so we were sleeping on gravel but we brought our own pads. This location seemed to be a somewhat popular spot for RV's but everyone was relatively quiet and we had no problems sleeping through the night. read more

We ended up at this particular KOA campground due to being unable to use our pop-up trailer at the KOA in Avi. The staff was very friendly - Sandy in the office, and her husband Dale assisting us to our camp spot. The campground is very quiet, which we enjoyed, and relatively close to everything we came for (Oatman, Laughlin). We will definitely return to this KOA when we travel to the area again. Very nice KOA. We stayed for three nights in one of their cabins. Loved how the cabins backed up to an empty landscape for privacy and walking trails. Very clean and safe. Did not try the pool but it looked inviting. Close for touring old Route 66 and Oatman, AZ. read more

Nice spot to stop and rest when traveling in the desert heat. Camp host Carla was great, gave me a AAA discount on our spot. Pulling a small trailer but gave me a nice pull thru spot. The road into it has about 15 amazing rock memorials to the armed forces. Learned a snowbird man from Montana comes every year and puts up a new one. Pool was a very nice relief from the 110 degrees. Clean showers/ bathrooms and a small store for anything you forgot. We liked it so much we stayed on the way back to California because of the pool! Like I said it was 110 both times we were there and it was nice going to bed cooled off. read more

This place is really nice... If you are used to only state parks. All sites are gravel but it's clean overall. My huge complaint is the bath house. All one room, no code so literally anyone can be in there while you are showering. No private showers, just camp style with curtains. But what really tears it is there was NO HOT WATER and such little water pressure, I had to splash myself clean. We have been to many KOAs and this one did not meet expectations. read more

We have been stopping here for awhile now. Have stayed here in all of our RVs. We are here tonight in our "new" used Winnebago Journey DL Motorhome. We thought about going on, but decided that we would just stay here one more time because of the excellent service, great pull through sites. The sites are all gravel but they are very level. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry room are immaculate as usual. If we should pass this way again, we will definitely stay here again. read more

The KOA was great, clean and the pool was a life saver. We especially appreciated the staff that was brutally honest about the hell hole that is called Needles! It was 122 degrees, there was no grocery store, and gas cost twice what we paid before and after. A server at a local restaurant called it the Bermuda Triangle where cars broke down and people would just be stuck there. Summary: KOA is great, town is the armpit of the world! read more

I had a blowout on my to Texas and the staff bent over backwards to help me. I took the 5er in for new tires and later that day I found out I had to spend the night a hotel. Came back to park to pick cords and hoses and let them know what was going on. They refunded me that day ....really great place. Definitely stay here again read more

This was a fairly basic KOA and not nearly as many we have stayed at, but it was very cheap and in a nice, quiet location and worked great for passing through the area. The sites were decently spaced apart and has bushes in between for privacy and they were all pull through. The park is all gravel and there is no cable, but many antenna channels and the WiFi didn't work at our spot. Overall, it was a quiet, safe place to stay the night! read more

Came here with a friend on our road trip. We loved this place! They had a great rec room, nice pool area, and a well-stocked gift shop where you could even rent movies to watch. There was only one RV and one tent there besides us, and it was great! So quiet and peaceful. We hung out in the rec room and watched a movie, used the pool, chatted with the lady at the gift shop... It was a really nice place. The campsites themselves are nicely set up, and most of them (at least the tent campsites) are shaded by trees. read more

Great place to stop. Campsites are very spacious and easy to maneuver. Restrooms are very clean. I had camper problems and needing repairs done. I found out I needed to get a hotel room. I told Carla about our situation and she was able to get us a cabin instead of our pull thru. The staff was definitely more accommodating than other KOAs I have stayed at.
