Orange blood beer and a piña colada

After boating or riding seadoos all day coming up to Pirates Cove for lunch or dinner is so refreshing. They just recently switched their menu as of a month ago, the food has definitely gotten better. It's actually a restaurant now not just bar food. The service was great as soon as you sit down you get ice cold water and they keep it coming. Which is so nice in 110° heat. Their mixed drink and bucket drinks are pretty good, their burgers weren't too bad. The fries were good. It's nice to be able just to pull up and walk right into the restaurant and enjoy an awesome view of the boats and people passing by. Recommend it if you're in Havasu.

This place is very clean and a great place to get together. It is a party environment but they try to keep it family friendly. It is a long Marina sided with boats the whole way. They have a convenient water taxi that runs the shore line if you want to go to the bar: restaurant. The bar often has live music and the food is good. Drinks were reasonable. They are very anti smoking or vaping. There are sign's everywhere and they say if caught you and your group will be asked to leave. We are fine with that but if you partake you should be aware. They do have lots of courtesy docks for the bar restaurant my 4 star rating comes from the $35 fee to park your boat on the shoreline. It was free, then $10 and now $35. Quick inflation. Holiday weekends it gets crowded so find your spot early then enjoy the battle of who has the loudest sound system.

My $16 10oz mudslide that wasn't worth it

Man has this place gone downhill! I took a picture of my mudslide, I have very small hands, and look how small the cup is. How much do you think it was? Let me just tell you it wasn't worth the $16 we paid! No joke! The restaurant itself it's still island vibey but the staff acts like your a pebble in their shoe and don't care about helping the customer even when it's nearly empty on a Monday afternoon. The only reason to go here is for the beach, you can park and take a break. Other than that? Pass! Go to Topock66, the food and staff are way better!

    Small beach next to campsite

We went to this resort to camp. Reservations have to be made 1 year prior. It's a beautiful place for toy hauler camping with full hook. There's a small beach on either side of the campsites for the kids to ride smaller atvs or play in the water. The restaurant at the resort is fair. For a quick snack it's ok. Would definitely stay to camp again but probably only have a beer at the restaurant.

Yes. That's dog crap by our table.

How close are water front cabins to the actual water?

What is the site in the Penninsula 6B like?

Call or email the office, if you want specifics they can help. ☺️

Can we use tents along with a motorhome?

Depends. If you are staying on a peninsula site, yes. Each (peninsula)site is allowed a two man pup tent to be down on the beach area. The inland(non-waterfront) sites are not able to have tents.

How is the WiFi Connection there if you had to work from a computer on the internet or have a Web-based Meeting?

They have recently updated the WIFI towers & also placed extenders out on the peninsula sites. However, WIFI is never guaranteed & the resort is located in a very rural area. WIFI services usually work best closer to the bar & restaurant.

Which peninsulas have the better beaches?

Depends on personal preferences to defy "better." The largest beach is between peninsula 5 & 6. Peninsula 25 has its own private beach. Most of the peninsula sites share beaches & are first come first serve.

How much is it rent a fire pit?

You would need to inquire at the general store. I believe it is $25/day plus tax. And there is a security deposit. The store also sells firewood.

    How's the cell coverage?

It depend who your carrier is! I have Verizon and I will get coverage here. I've heard you will as well with AT&T but not so much with sprint. By the way, Pirate Cover Resort does have free WiFi you can connect to at the restaurant

Do they allow tent camping here?

    YES, ON THE POINT

Are you allowed to have a dog in the cabins?

Are the campsites really close together? It will be just my husband an I and on the website it looks like people are camped right on top of each other. We like a little space.

Campsites near the river are close and there were no trees where we were so no privacy. Others are arranged in group sites with many together. You can see the site map at https://www.piratecoveresort.com and I've posted a photo of the map.

The photos on the site are NOTHING to what this PIECE OF JUNK trailer really is. The bed they show as the main bed is so old the springs are coming through and when you lay on it, you sink into a crevasse and can't get out. Not good for my 75 year old mother with Scoliosis; my aunt had to pull her out of the bed every time she needed to pee in the middle of the night. This company is so damn cheap they won't even spend $400 and buy an Ashley Furniture mattress for dirt cheap to replace the mattress with springs coming through the top. The other bed, the pull-out couch? Well, take a look at the photo I took today (9/14/22) vs the photo Havablast shows in their photos. I'm completely blown away that this company could rent this trailer for $135/night in this condition. We have our own 39' toyhauler that's top-notch gorgeous and we rent it out on RVShare (website) and charge $175/night. Unfortunately, with only 30 amp service at Echo, we could only run one AC so we could move them over when it was 110° outside. Havablast stores all of the kitchen utensils in the shower in a plastic bin. So people like my mother, 75 and old, if they want to shower, will have to take each item out because it's too heavy to lift the bin. No exterior lighting available so you can see where the steps are if you're camping at a dark campground (like Echo Lodge in Parker where we were). The trailer was FILTHY!!!! When I say filthy, I mean f'ing filthy. Broom swept, sure, but the couches and cloth material was disgustingly filthy and gross. I felt so bad for them. FILTHY FILTHY. When I got the bill from them, the final bill, they also tacked on a $50 sanitation fee they never told me about, and they originally told me the delivery fee was $100. They charged me $175. I'll be filing a small claims case against them within the timeline of the statute of limitations for a suit like this. All in all, this trailer rental RUINED my mom's very last vacation she'll ever take. She's now back home with severe back pain and bruises all over her legs from trying to get into the trailer with no light.

Problems in the trailer are as follows: -Fridge did not work the entire trip and when someone came to look at it he said "well it's down to 54 so" ‍ for anyone that doesn't know? FRIDGES SHOULD STAY AROUND 30 DEGREES!! All our food spoiled. -the shower head is a hand held that does not mount to the wall. The entire time you're showering you have to hold the hand held so it doesn't spray EVERYWHERE in the bathroom like a firehose. -The bathroom plumbing did not work. Your waste sits in the bottom of the toilet once flushed because it wasn't plumbed properly in the first place so it doesn't run down hill. I'm a plumber, I would know. -The entire place was absolutely FILTHY and completely outdated and run down. I don't mind if something is clearly "used" or a "rental" but I mean it's INSANE -We rented a "2 bedroom trailer". We have 4 adults, so this shouldn't have been a problem. Attached is a photo of the sorry excuse they give you for a bed. It's a bent sack out metal frame that someone stuck an oversized dog bed on. Literally. A big cotton pad like for a dog. -Whoever set up the trailer had zero idea what he was doing. A trailer shouldn't rock and sway like your in a boat on the river, but ours did. -There is one light on the outside of the trailer and it's the equivalent to a small blinker mounted on the top right of the trailer. A 4 inch orange circle that puts off a small amber glow. My point: IT WAS GOOD FOR NOTHING! We're in a highly snake populated area, you NEED light for general safety purposes. -The main stairs at the front door were falling off. I took my tool set with me (luckily) and was able to tighten everything up, as well as stabilizing it with a large rock Well worth the money to go on vacation and have to work repairs on the trailer I PAID to stay in -I'm not usually one for long reviews but if I can save ANYONE from dealing with the insanity that is this rental company? Then time well spent. It does not get worse than "HAVA BLAST" rentals. If this is how you run your business? It's time to close up shop because this is EMBARRASSING. I would leave zero stars but it isn't an option.

Before posting, here's a draft you can edit if you'd like:…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but this experience deserves one. First, let me say that I'm not a high-maintenance traveler. I stay at budget motels like Motel 6 all the time, so I'm not expecting luxury. We stayed at Fox RV Resort last year, so we knew exactly what we were booking--a dated RV with 1990s decor and basic amenities. Last year, our only issue was that the grill had no propane. This year was a completely different story. We arrived on an extremely hot day only to find that the RV had no power. It was unbearably hot inside, and after checking the breakers ourselves, nothing worked. We called the main number, and someone came down to turn the power on. He even acknowledged that it should have been turned on before we arrived. Once we started unpacking, we noticed the back window was covered with a piece of cardboard to block out light. Then we discovered the bathroom smelled like raw sewer. After reading older Yelp reviews, I realized this has apparently been an ongoing issue with this same trailer for years. Next, we found out there was no grill, even though the website advertises one. We had brought a cooler full of food specifically to grill during our stay. We called and were told someone would bring one over. Forty minutes later, still no grill, so my husband called again. The owner answered sounding irritated and basically snapped that it would get there. Later that night, around 9 p.m., the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We weren't upset--we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a switch or something inside the RV that needed to be turned on. Instead of helping us, the owner answered the phone by saying, "Do you know what time it is?" He then went on a rant about how we'd already called twice that day with complaints before telling us to "pack your shit and go." My husband stayed remarkably calm. I honestly would have hung up. The owner also told us, "This isn't the Ritz." No kidding. We weren't expecting the Ritz. We were expecting the amenities that were advertised and basic customer service. The issues with the RV were frustrating, but things happen. What made this experience completely unacceptable was the owner's attitude. I've never been spoken to by a business owner that way in my life. If you value even basic customer service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The only options offered were a 20' Tritoon with 150 HP for the first day and a 24' Tritoon with 150 HP for the second day. This was a significant downgrade in both size and performance from what we reserved, especially considering we had a large group and specifically selected the larger, more powerful boat for that reason. To make matters worse, we were expected to switch boats halfway through our vacation, and the only adjustment offered was the normal price difference between the boats--not any additional accommodation for the inconvenience or the fact that they could not provide what we booked. Mechanical problems happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me was how the situation was handled. If you're renting for a special occasion or family vacation, I would recommend having a backup plan or confirming that the specific boat you reserved will actually be available. Owners response to this review: Thank you for your kind review. Its so nice that you have an understanding. That boat was booked everyday this week thru sunday, all those guests were understanding and were open for the change except you and you want to leave us a bad review for something out of our control. What, are we supposed to give you the boat for free? We can only do so much. Like all boat rental companies in this town we are all small business/family owned. We did what we could with such short notice and try to help you. We did not force you to take a different boat, we only were giving you options of what we had and could do. We have been in business for 19 years and there are only 2 other boat rental companies in town that have been around that long, all the others come and go after a couple of years. Now that you want to be extremely rude to us and give us a bad review, the rental is under (my husbands name) name, so he has call us and email us to cancel. GOOD LUCK to you. To be extremely clear, we would NEVER ask for a free boat. What would have been appreciated is some type of accomodation. The tube rental is $50, maybe throw in that for free. To be honest ANY type of offer would have been appreciated, instead of, too bad so sad, you get nothing you signed up for and you should just be totally cool with that. I honestly thought about deleting the review but then woke up to this nonsense.
