I love Pirate Cove Resort! This is my favorite place to relax and unwind! Located only 2 hours from Las Vegas, this fabulous off-roading resort is the place to be. The cabins are cute and accommodating, they have everything you need inside them to enjoy a stay. Full refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishes and more. The balcony views are awesome at night. Pirate Cove is a very cool place where people pull up their boats and hang out all day long. The food is delicious, the salads are yummy, but I love the chicken tenders and french fries. You cannot go wrong with those. They have different options for alcoholic drinks, we chose to get a vodka bucket and it was as fun as it looks! We had some mimosas after the bucket! This is a family friendly place and dogs are also allowed. Looking forward to my next trip back here! Great place to tan, relax, hear great music and see some awesome boats! Love coming here and return every year! My only suggestions would be a few more guidelines on loud music during the day, as well as the number of cars and tents allowed on a single peninsula. Since most of us come here to relax, should not be able to hear music an entire peninsula over. I also wish the restaurant stayed open later and that there was a little more upkeep on the beaches. Absolutely the worst RV park experience we've ever had. I would NEVER stay here again! We had reservations, but when we arrived at our assigned site, someone else was already occupying it. They moved us to another site--only to discover that someone was in that site too. At that point, we dropped the 5th wheel and waited while the office tried to figure out where they could put us. We lost basically the entire afternoon dealing with something that should have been handled before we ever arrived. Eventually, they put us in a pull-in site even though we were traveling with a 5th wheel. We made it work, but the hookups were on the wrong side and extremely far away. And somehow, despite the park being mostly empty, they proceeded to pack the sites immediately around us with rental trailers. The people next to us arrived with multiple trailers and several vehicles and proceeded to take over the area around our site. They worked on their cars, repaired a flat tire, and repeatedly started a boat that appeared to have no exhaust, right next to our trailer. They would start the boat, rev it up while it backfired and stalled, and then do it all over again. This went on for hours every day for several days. Then we got to enjoy loud, high-bass music late into the night, along with more boat engine work. They also apparently thought doing burnouts in their truck was a good idea. This place has virtually no control over what goes on in the park. People pull into whatever sites they want. People are parked in the wrong sites and aren't made to move. The office seems completely incapable of keeping track of reservations or enforcing anything. Many of the trailers throughout the park also appeared to be extremely beat-up rental units. But the final straw came on the evening of our fourth day. Daniel from the front office called us and told us they could no longer honor the price we had originally been charged. He said the new owner was changing promotions daily and that they could no longer honor the First Responder rate they had quoted us because the owner had changed the promotion. Wait--what? We were already checked in and in the middle of a stay that had already been paid for, and they decided they wanted to change the price after the fact. I've stayed at a lot of RV parks, and I've never experienced anything like this. Wrong sites. Occupied reservations. Hours wasted trying to get checked in. No enforcement of site assignments. Constant noise. Beat-up rental trailers. And then changing the price in the middle of our stay. This place is completely disorganized from top to bottom. Save yourself the aggravation and stay somewhere else. We will absolutely never be back. NO MATT, your response was full of incorrect info. We did call security and this did not resolve the issue. THIS WAS NOT A ADJUSTMENT AS YOU STATED THIS WAS YOU ACTUALLY REMOVING YOUR FIRST RESPONDERS DISCOUNT IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR STAY!!! Pirate's Cove is a cool secluded resort with cabins, docks, and a bar/restaurant. On a weekday evening in September, we decided to go hang out there for a little bit with our boat. The boat launch is nice and wide and the lot has a good amount of parking. The bar/restaurant had a very nice and friendly bartender. Other than one person at the bar, it was us as a party of four. We wanted a snack and picked a thai chili flavored chicken fries. It was a very unique appetizer but the flavors worked well! It was sweet, spicy, the pickled onions added a nice layer of flavor and the fries were crisp and hot. I really liked it! I have been to Pirate's Cove before when it was a very busy weekend and packed. In contrast to this particular visit, it was super chill and so relaxing! We used to love coming to Pirate Cove Resort -- it was one of our go-to spots for camping on the river. The beaches were clean, sandy, and well-maintained, and it felt like a place you could truly relax and enjoy. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. The property has become noticeably overgrown and poorly maintained. The beaches are now covered in weeds and brush, making it difficult to enjoy what used to be one of the main highlights of the resort. It's disappointing to see such a decline in upkeep. On top of that, prices have significantly increased, and there are now multiple added fees that were never part of the experience before. Paying more while receiving less value makes it hard to justify returning. This place has so much potential, but it really needs attention and proper maintenance to bring it back to what it once was. read more

Peninsula Camping has gone way down hill. The sites are run down, picnic benches that are falling a part. hookups that are leaning over from being hit and the way they have sewer hook ups set up sucks. C3 in point the sewer is all the way towards the river. We could not reach in our 43 footer even with extra hose. Good thing we had extra water hose and a super long electrical cord . The extra fees when you get there $20.00 per dog, $20.00 for UTV this should all be posted on website not as surprise when you get there :( Will not be going back. read more

After boating or riding seadoos all day coming up to Pirates Cove for lunch or dinner is so refreshing. They just recently switched their menu as of a month ago, the food has definitely gotten better. It's actually a restaurant now not just bar food. The service was great as soon as you sit down you get ice cold water and they keep it coming. Which is so nice in 110° heat. Their mixed drink and bucket drinks are pretty good, their burgers weren't too bad. The fries were good. It's nice to be able just to pull up and walk right into the restaurant and enjoy an awesome view of the boats and people passing by. Recommend it if you're in Havasu. read more

Resort was nice, friendly staff, awesome maintenance guy who helped us with our rv we were trying to fix. The only thing that bothered us was a customer who we were next to had a huge Trump flag on top of their rv. Everyone has their own beliefs but why be political and we felt like it was not necessary. I would not be disrespectful by showing my political beliefs on anyone. Other campgrounds do not allow this and things like this would be nice for people to keep their beliefs private and not showing it out loud. read more

Let me just tell you it wasn't worth the $16 we paid! No joke! The restaurant itself it's still island vibey but the staff acts like your a pebble in their shoe and don't care about helping the customer even when it's nearly empty on a Monday afternoon. This place is very clean and a great place to get together. It is a party environment but they try to keep it family friendly. It is a long Marina sided with boats the whole way. They have a convenient water taxi that runs the shore line if you want to go to the bar: restaurant. The bar often has live music and the food is good. Drinks were reasonable. They are very anti smoking or vaping. There are sign's everywhere and they say if caught you and your group will be asked to leave. We are fine with that but if you partake you should be aware. They do have lots of courtesy docks for the bar restaurant my 4 star rating comes from the $35 fee to park your boat on the shoreline. It was free, then $10 and now $35. Quick inflation. Holiday weekends it gets crowded so find your spot early then enjoy the battle of who has the loudest sound system. read more

I WILL NEVER go back to camp at this POOR mans dirt box!!! Shae or however you spell it was the WORST! Absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I've called corporate and I've sent letters to follow up. She's rude nasty and has no business being a so-called manager. The place is nothing but a dirt sand dust bowl. The kid area, where the water supposed to turn on doesn't work The bathroom is a quarter but it took $3.25 I went and called and she, Shae asked me with her smart mouth "why did you keep putting quarters in when it didn't work" I told her because I have a 10-year-old in the shower full of soap. She called me a liar when I told her the toilets were disgusting. The bathroom look like something out of an outhouse, nightmare CRIME Scene!! The outlets everything is just rundown . If you're going to Pirates, I wouldn't even go for the day. It's absolutely gone downhill. Their zip line doesn't work Kids area is a joke. The water doesn't go on, but the manager will tell you it does Boaters come in all day and leave their trash behind. She told me that I was a liar regarding that as well. Go look at site 19. I'm sure they're still a broken easy up sitting there. My husband picked up 90% of the other people trash it's just horrible. I'm telling you save your money. We went to this resort to camp. Reservations have to be made 1 year prior. It's a beautiful place for toy hauler camping with full hook. There's a small beach on either side of the campsites for the kids to ride smaller atvs or play in the water. The restaurant at the resort is fair. For a quick snack it's ok. Would definitely stay to camp again but probably only have a beer at the restaurant. read more

Last stop on a 30 day road trip. They call this place a resort... in my opinion it should be your last resort to camp at. It's an overpriced dump. The "campsite" is weed filled plot of dirt that has no definition to where individual campsites begin or end. I had to read through 3 pages of rules and regulations before they gave me a map to our campsite. Along with copies of our insurance, registration and drivers license. During this entire trip I never had to present any of these documents. Frankly my wife and I were looking forward to staying here. As the photos online show a very nice campground. I wanted to stay there. That is definitely not this place. They also have an on-site restaurant that has small margaritas in a plastic cup for $18. I got a burnt burger for $22 that was smothered in BBQ sauce to hide the taste of the burnt meat. On top of it all this was the second most expensive campground of the entire trip. I am so glad that we decided to stay an extra night in Flagstaff and not come here yesterday. Here are a few photos of the Resort. Almost two weeks later and my security deposit have never came in. I called and they tell me the floor is damaged and i had dog hair in the cabin! First of all we had no dog with us. But their "house keeper" saying she found dog hair some how. Soon as i came in the cabin right after check in i made a video showing all the damaged flooring prior to our arrival. ( pictures attached from the video i took) They probably made thousands of dollar jus to charge people on this shitty flooring they have there and its been damage for a long time and this way you saying bye bye to your security deposit. We love coming to this place every spring break because it has everything we need. I just wish it would be a little cheaper. The views from the peninsula sites are beautiful and the facilities are clean. They also take Good Sam discount which is nice saving. The marina has a restaurant that serves food if you don't feel like cooking. Will definitely be back but maybe in May when it's a little warmer as the river is cold and it can get a little chilly when the wind picks up. read more

We stayed at Pirate for a few days in our motorhome last year. We heard about the resort at an RV show. The park is on the Colorado River which sounded great so we made reservations. The park is spread out along the river with dirt roads leading to the sites. The sites have a view of the river so are down in the beach type sand and uneven. It was so nice that the workers coming by provided us with some boards to balance our coach up. Many sites are doubles in an area or group sites with sites around the semi-circle. So you are not separate to enjoy the river or your site. They have a restaurant and a pirate-themed fun zone with a tower and zip line. There are things to do. The park is popular and many like the set up. It is not my type of place but it is worth checking out! read more

We rented one of there cabins with my wife and daughter and her husband and two kids. It's a two bedroom two story right in front of the beach area . Location is perfect you come out from your cabin right to the beach area. But the cabins are very small and A/C don't work that good for the weather in June for the amount of money they charge they should have better A/C did not sleep well at all after being in that hot sun you expect to go to your cabin and cool off. Stopped by Pirates Cove Restaurant on the way from the Grand Canyon to Joshua Tree for lunch with 3 others and my dog. It was such a treat given that the restaurant was right on the water! Honestly I was surprised at how nice it was and how good the food was. Ordered a Miami Vice, club sandwich, and a mandarin oriental salad and all were great! I've had terrible salads at expensive wineries in Temecula and this was definitely better. The only downer was the Las Vegas type prices on the drinks - but all in all a great stop with great service! read more

RVers, BEWARE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. If you take one thing away from this review, let it be this: DON'T SIGN ANYTHING until you physically go look at your RV site! I lost $600 because of their horrible "no refunds for any reason" policy. This "RV Park" is TERRIBLE. Literally go anywhere else if you care about your RV. I booked a week at this park in a 36' class A and I left after the first night because it was SO BAD. They only have 30 amp service in their beat-up parking-lot-of-an-RV-park at the front of the grounds next to the rundown mobile homes and shoddy playground. The peninsula camp spots are 50 amp, but they are deep sand and there was no way we could back in our class A at the site we had without being right on the edge of the little cliff. I NEVER would have prebooked had I known how bad it was. I would also never take kids there again. For over $100 a night this place was a total sham. Shouldn't have been more than $20 for the quality you get. The roads are awful! It is not just potholes, it's as if the entire road was torn up by a jack hammer and then left there. Loose gravel everywhere, sides of the road are completely torn apart. All the stuff in the RV that survived the four-hour road trip came crashing down driving on the road going 2 mph within this park. My kids both fell on their bicycles and dirt bikes trying to navigate around and wanted nothing to do with this park after the first hour. Never once saw one of their "river ferries" or their resort taxis and I didn't have cell service to call one, so I had to drive them over to the playground in my car. There was horse poop right next to the playground (3 large strewn about piles), dog poop on the "splash pad" that wasn't running and looks like it hasn't been running in years. (I booked the park mostly for this perk for the kids, so that was a huge disappointment). The playground flooring was torn up and hard, covered with dirty sand and the playground itself was not maintained. The horseshoe pits are right next to the playground and the metal poles are left uncovered and unmarked, so you'd better keep a close watch on your kids because within 2 seconds of coming down the slide they can impale themselves on one if you're not watching. All of their restroom facilities and showers were closed...just great if you have kids that need to pee while playing on the playground. How on earth can they even do that? AND THEN, at 4:30 AM they starting running a tractor at the peninsula next to mine! I thought it was a trash truck, but the crashing kept happening and by the time the sun rose a few hours later, I saw the tractor and the dump truck doing runs moving sand! I left citing safety concerns for my kids and my RV. They didn't care. They shrugged and said "no refunds, no exceptions." I will tell everyone I can about how bad this place truly was. We love this place! The cabins are a bit small but have all the amenities a family would need. A full size refrigerator, AC, tvs in every room. The bedding and floors are a bit dated and in need of some updates from usage. The property is in resell maintained. They sweep the sand every day, the trash cans are all emptied and never overflowing. It's literally a little oasis in the desert. We love this place and can't wait to come back. read more

Awful experience! We will never come back and will tell everyone and anyone to avoid this place like the plague. First; We booked site 2A which is an angled site based off of their website: We had security telling us that we were parked wrong because we had "blocked off our 2B neighbor. Mind you, 2B had PLENTY of room for their trailer and truck. If we had parked the way security had asked, we would have had our hookups under our trailer and would have had our steps come out to utility boxes and the cliff to the river. The pictures to this place do not match! The pictures to this place are beautiful and make it look like a full on resort. IT IS NOT!! The peninsula is run down and in need of major repair/improvement. The store isn't mediocre at best. Pirates cove is one of the more expensive places to stay on the river, but for as much as they charge, you'd think it would be a nicer place. We were hounded by security, and it was just overall uncomfortable and infuriating. read more

Been coming to Park Moabi and pirates for 15 years. Love everything about it. Friday, June 21 3:30 PM, your shuttle boat driver needs to pay attention. We had a group of 10 that walked to each one of the pick up points on the other side of the bay at for over 40 minutes and he continued to drive past. At one point, we were at the shuttle pick up directly across from the bar. He never even looked picked up. One person drove right past us and took them down to the end of the entrance. Completely unacceptable. You should focus on people coming to the venue to spend money, not people leaving. Always pick up people, even if you're dropping them off, very disappointing. read more

This is for the campsite on peninsula. I usually like camping there.. the river water feels clean.. compared to murky sludge near the cabins. I have a BIG problem w/ the selfishness tho. We chose an edge spot "D" so we could be closest to the water in the cove. An RV camper from several campsites away liked our spot adjacent to our RV. Claimed HALF THE COVE!!! One family! 2 parents/ 2 kids) had FIVE ez ups 4 all OF their friends who rolled in everyday in a loaded pontoon boat, jet skis & speed boats! They weren't from the campsite. STOLE HALF the cove!! Weren't even paying for reservations here! Blasted music & took over. Their flapping canopies were left abandoned til the noon on every day of our stay., we had to walk far past them.
