As I'm writing this review I feel like bugs are crawling on my back. We stayed in the little cabins next to the marina, these cabins are small with a full twin and bunk beds. Honestly this place is not my cup of tea. Has an ac inside and the mattress is so thin I think they found it out in the middle of the desert. Little shack isn't insulated, the ac can't keep up with the heat. Two stars because you can walk to the river that's the only good thing. read more

My previous post applies to the past owner. The new owners, not so much. I was recently towed to the marina by Tow US. I was driven up river to retrieve my truck and trailer. Upon entering the park, I was told I would have to pay $20 to retrieve my broken boat. I couldn't believe it. I've had to be towed to a launch ramp one time in the past. The compassionate employees at Topock 66 understood my dilemma and let me quickly recover my boat with no charge. I guess they figured I'd already had a bad enough day. No such luck at Needles Marina. So much for common decency. The $20 they made on me that day has lost them the hundreds of dollars I spend there on my two annual trips. Unconscionable. read more

So many improvements, but still a ways to go. Pro: Arrived to see a beautiful new pool and hot tub!! Landscaped with gorgeous rock, palm trees and flowers! Cons: Some days the pool is comfortably warm, many days it's freezing cold . They think that turning the heat off saves money but any pool owner, including the company that installed the pool, recommends the pool stay at a constant temperature. The ladies had organized a water aerobics class but had to discontinue because of the freezing pool. Also no pool furniture??? Stretching out on the deck doesn't work because there are nasty red ants that bite! Ouch! Needs some pool furniture that won't blow away. With no table or chairs I watched a handicapped gal having great difficulty getting her shoes off. They have many tables. Pro: Addition of 3 very nice dog parks which include a roof for shade and 2 have very nice benches. All 3 dispense dog bags and a can to collect. Previously the dog parks had 2 foot fences without a gate. Now they have very clean looking 4 ft. chain link fence. Great improvements!! Cons: The bag dispensers are often empty. The little dog park has no seating. It's small and there's no room inside the park for seating but a bench or table would work great outside the fence. Pro: The management supports activities proposed by clients. We have enjoyed Bingo, Poker, Rock Painting. There is a Pickle Ball court and a pool table available. They sponsor the Can-Am golf tournament and luncheon. Cons: The sponsored golf tournament lunch doesn't include the non golfers which is more than half the residents. It would be so easy for the resort to organize some activities that would cost little. Movie night with popcorn. Soup night with residents providing the soups. Garbage pickup. Hikes or rock collecting by using a college student, or a Resort resident free. Outings to events would just mean organizing car pools-lunches, Triple Farm Opening, Bullhead Swap Meet, the Lake Havasu Swap Meet, boat rides, shopping. So many things that would cost the Resort little but make this Resort far more resort-like. Pro: Large laundry- 12 washers, 12 dryers, folding tables Pro: 4 sandy beaches. Con: It's difficult to navigate the steep walkways down to the beach. Would love to have some trails etched out for all of us old folk. read more

The showers were clean and Hot but the floor in there was slimy. And the bathrooms smelled like sewer outside you cold see the ooze. The laundry room was clean. The spots were 75. A night. Seems high for a gravel parking spot. The tables were rickety. The lagoon was dry and the pool tiles were green. Rough living in needles. The town was very depressed. Just pass by. read more

The best bot launch on the river jack smith launch. It is an easy in and easy out. There are three separated lanes and prices are reasonable I think it was $18 or $20 for boat launch. Very clean area and lots of new parking. It does not matter what time you come to launch you will be able to find parking. I know here in the inland empire if you don't get to the lakes early than most likely you are not getting in especially now with covid going on they are limiting the numbers of boats that can get into the park. The river is beautiful especially going towards Parker through the gorge. read more

We have been staying at this park since 1986 (maybe even longer). During our stay March 6th thru March 11th, the bathrooms were only cleaned once. The women's stayed pretty clean, but had no paper towels in the dispenser the entire time we were there. I called the office to tell them the women's bathroom didn't have paper towels and was told someone would be there shortly. That never happened. The men's bathroom was constantly a mess. My husband went into the office and told them that the men's bathroom needed cleaning and was told they would pass along that information. It took 2 days before it was cleaned. It was very disappointing since the bathrooms used to be cleaned daily. It seems like the new owners are not keeping this park in good repair, and the employees don't seem to care about the condition of the park either. read more

Totally disappointed in this place. We will never stay here, you just lost a great future customer. We were booked for the weekend and I had to call and cancel because my husband and I both tested positive for COVID. I called and cancelled our weekend, they refused to refund our deposit. Would they rather I came in with COVID. The lady wasn't even apologetic about it. She just said nope, we don't refund for COVID. She was rude and very it is what it is and I am 100 % sure they were able to fill our spot with another person on a cancellation list. So uncompassionate, people like this do not deserve my money, much less anyone's money for that fact. read more

I only give it an OK because if you are not a SnowBird you have no idea if the spot that you reserved a year ahead will be yours or not. How is there money any better than mine. We stay for 5 days but apparently if you book it for more than that you can bump someone from their spot. We were with friends who were also bumped for a SnowBird and that SnowBird didn't show up. Instead of putting them back in their original spot they gave it away to someone else who called. They were told once you are moved once they will NOT move you back. Not happy. Next year we will be going to Pirates Cove and will not be bumped. read more

We have stayed at this place for the last 10 years. It hasn't been the best place we ever stayed at but it was ok for the price. Boy where we surprised this year when we checkin $65 for a night stay here. Believe not worth it. I don't mind paying that but would like to see some improvements. Just the opposite. First to table at our site. Then go to the men's restroom/shower it's locked up. Store was closed at 3pm, so had to drive in for ice. Safe your money go somewhere else. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it is on the river and next to a small golf course. Oh did I mention they wanted cash for the stay. read more

The people that work in the office of the RV park are rude. They don't keep up with who has paid and who hasn't. They knocked on our door early one morning saying we need to come to the office immediately, the girl in the office said we were supposed to have left the day before, calling us by the wrong name, when we were paid up until the next day. When we told them, the name they called us was not us, they replied "it's not you, so go on". We are adults, you don't tell us to "go on". Also, this place is outrageously expensive....$77 per night. The pool and hot tub were very dirty. We will not return here. read more

Buyer beware. They may choose to increase your nightly rate to whatever they want...even though you put a deposit down. This place used to have great service! We used to love coming here. In fact, we just stayed in May and were talking about how nice the staff always was. We came back to stay almost a full week in June. We booked our stay several months in advance. Upon arrival, we checked in and were confused by the total amount due. After asking for a print out (yes, had to ask for it) we discovered they decided to increase the nightly rate by about $10. They believe this is completely acceptable because they send an email to let you know a week prior to your stay. Maybe the increase was to pay for all the luxurious construction and noise early in the morning. This is unacceptable and unethical, really. What other service provider in any industry does this? You shop around, decide to purchase something, and then after the fact the price changes. We put a deposit down! Our group had a total of 7 camp site spots, 2 cabins, 2 slips, and ran plenty of money through their store. And, we are regulars. I guess it's time to look elsewhere. Maybe we take our dollars up river to Fenders or somewhere else. Such a shame. read more

We made a reservation at this campground 6 days before our anticipated arrival date. Unfortunately our grandson, who was going to be staying with us got COVID 19. We called the day of our arrival and informed them that we wouldn't be able to make it due to COVID 19. They would not refund our money nor give us a credit for any future visit. This is just a very poor business practice. I will never give them any business and will never refer anyone else to this campground. I would like to know where their human compassion lies or is company policy the golden rule to live by, especially in these trying times with such an horrendous illness going around. They've nearly doubled their rates from 2 years ago. When I rolled over my site from last year I owed $440.00 after my deposit. Just got an email and guess what I now owe $670.00. There have been no improvements, other than painting the old benches, which they removed cuz it's too much trouble to clean them after a guest leaves. Crazy. I'm done. Going to buy a small house with my kids at the River. Did I say total rip off? Go somewhere else. Fix the dang boat ramp.....I have to drive to Jack Smith to launch. I'll start by saying for what we were looking for, we loved it. If I were looking for a higher end place that I planned on staying for a while & needed more amenities, I'd probably choose a different place. But, I'd also have to chose a different town. We needed a place to stay over night, since my husband was too tired to continue, w/ late check-in, for a good price. We paid $36 total for 50amp electricity & super high water pressure on a very clean & spacious pull-through space. There were plenty of options for us even though we checked in after 1am. We called ahead & spoke to Lindsay (always call ahead to ask questions & get clarification), who was polite & provided very specific details on what to do, payment options & offered discounts. There are several ways to get discounts including leaving b4 9am the next morning & paying cash - see my attached pics for more details. The park also included several things we didn't get to use like the beautiful Marina, golf course, pool, a range of different size spaces if you check-in during business hours or make a reservation in advance. There are some extra charges for using some of the amenities, so you should go directly to their website to review them or call in advance, so you are not surprised. The owner's name is Rick & he's a good guy. We met him down at Juicy's Restaurant (check-out my Yelp review on them for more details) & got a chance to speak to him & his buddy for a bit. They were super helpful & friendly. He's a fellow Northern Californian, so he understood our plight. It was about 113° today. Might as well have been 160°. This place is great if you enjoy water activities (on the Colorado River) or just need to get some sleep for the night, as it was very quiet. read more

We have been coming here for 40 years. Unfortunately this will be last..... no hot water in the community showers. The showers were closed due to maintenance over labor day weekend. The bathrooms that were open on the other side camp grounds only had cold water.... we will not be back....new management is terrible as the camp grounds are very run down. read more

We stayed here two weeks ago, and were able to move to lagoon site 62 when we got there. This was a very well maintained property, with great staff and service. Our spot was absolutely beautiful, with privacy greenery and birds. So peaceful! And so many kids playing safely on the shared grass area in front of our site. We absolutely loved it and booked two more weekends there later this year. If you have kids you will love this place. read more

We love needles marina. We use to stay at pirates cove cause that's where we store our trailer. But not anymore it's definitely worth the drive to get our trailer then back to needles marina. Hoping to get a storage spot next year with them though considering we are there all most every other weekend. It's very nice and clean. We have stayed in the cabins and we have stayed in trailer spots. Both great. Cabins don't have bathrooms but showers and bathroom are located right next to them. Cabins are clean with a full size or queen size bed and a bunk bed. Only thing I would say is to bring a mattress topper for the bed it's a little hard. The beach areas are nice first come first serve. The launch ramp is good a lot of space and can fit 4/5 trailers at a time. Laundry room is really nice to I believe it's 1.50 to wash and 1.50 to dry. Kids love the pool. Sometimes there can be drunk A$$holes but that's not the resorts fault. They also just opened a snow cone shack by the launch ramp that is open on the weekends. I Honestly don't know why there is bad reviews. The place is great and prices are fair for being on the river. Hopefully they don't get greedy like pirates. We will definitely keep coming back. read more

If you haven't stopped by here you need to. The people running it are amazing. I was low on drive fluid last weekend and stopped everywhere I could think of on the river. Avi, walked up to their gas station, they had no clue. Came up to Needles Marina and I have launched from here many of times and always enjoyed the gift shop/general store but I was desperate for drive fluid. One of the employees walked me down to the marina, had the fluid and kept me on my way for the day. The docks are awesome, service is even better. If you are out on the river and need something, stop by, they will have it!!! Thank you. read more

I've been returning to needles for 2 years now Love the space just a friendly reminder Remember to review ur stay. Ur communication is vital 1.) they double booked my cabin and I waited an hour and half for resolution. 2.) they charged my card a second time without my approval and when I arrived my second unapproved charge was never issued as credit towards my stay in my cabin Just a friendly reminder. Review your statement for all charges before and after ur stay. Glancing at my statements I caught the additional charge. And I seen on my receipt an additional $33 for people that never showed up. But I didn't notify the office they cancelled. So it's a valid charge. My notification charged. Their mishap, apologies only. And I had to contact them twice to research. A nice little Gem in Needles. The sites weren't giant but they are level. This park is older but think the new ownership is working on upgrading. New laundry facility is nice. Some sites are definitely better than others but if you have been there in the past you know what sites have what you want. The golf course is decent and pretty busy with retirement residents. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The RV ers were pretty nice and kept to themselves for th he most part. So not a super social place...but during COVID that wasn't unexpected. Overall needles is a little, quiet qnd forgotten town but thats what some people like. The Marina was just that, nice and quiet. We camped here in January 2021on a 38 ft travel trailer read more

We've stayed in many RV parks around the country, and the Needles Marina Resort is absolutely the worst. Highest price paid for very basic one night stay. What was to have been $50 became $71.50 because we used a credit card rather than cash. When we explained that we seldom carried cash (covid, etc.) the person at the desk said she always did because she was afraid the banks would run out of money?? read more

We launched our boat today .. we have been launching here for years we have never had an issue with the water being too low or having problem with all the SEAWEED! But today we come to launch our boat everything is fine the water was low but we were able to get it out on the water until we leave the marina and come to find out that there is seaweed getting sucked in not being able to it get out on top of that the boat did not want to start for that reason. Mind you our boat is not SMALL boat where we can't just Pull to an area . I think you guys should give a heads up to everyone launching there boat or a BIG sign whenever the water is too low or when there's a bunch of seaweed . We've never experienced this level of adults acting like children. People racing around in golf carts - music blasting, neighbor reving up his hot machine at 5:00 in the morning. No apparent noise regulations. All this for 70 dollars a night. read more

Needles Marina is in a great location. We rented a trailer and stayed for 3 nights. Kids had a blast on the beach and it was nice to have a grass area and lagoon. I give it a 3 star review because we did have a few issues when we arrived, like not having toilet paper stocked and having our shower back up which is kinda gross to say the least. We called staff and they were polite and handled the issues promptly. The camper was semi- clean but if they could pay attention to the details like behind couches etc it would be more inviting. One night we went to go swimming and they closed the pool early at 9:25 pm instead of 10 pm which was a little disappointing. The store was reasonably priced and didn't feel they price gouge! So bottom line: Excellent location good for families but the attention to detail and cleanliness needs work. Also, for the people who said there are people playing music and up late etc.. this is true but your at the river relax and have fun. We personally had no disturbances when we were visiting. read more

Always love our time spent here at Needles Marina Park! Been coming here with our family & friends since 2006 and never want to go anywhere else during the summer to camp. We have met people here that have become a second family! The staff are friendly & welcoming! The pool is clean & a nice refreshing change from the river after a long day of sun. They have a laundromat on site and the restrooms & showers are kept very clean & stocked. The grounds are very nice & always maintained. They patrol the park at all hours for the safety of guests. The convenience store has all the small necessities you need! We never have any complaints about the park when we stay! This is our home away from home from May through the end of September! read more

Candice maybe drunk? Bot launch. The BOAT launch is in the worst condition it's been in 30 years.

Absolutely do not stay in Cabin #C5. My family had been coming here for years. When we trailer camped things were ok, but we got rid of our trailer recently to use the cabins instead. Was ok until our most recent visit in 2020. Management changed out the air conditioning units (cheaper and much smaller) so the cabin I stayed in NEVER got cool. Couldn't get a good nights rest, sweat all night, and unrelaxing during the day. Completely horrible service provided by maintenance, gave us ridiculous excuses as to why the AC wasn't working right but refused to do anything about it. We will not be returning to this place until they fix the AC. read more

Love this gem of a campground! Friendly staff, clean park and the sites on the water are awesome. This is our new go-to place when we come to the river. The sites are large with plenty of shade and a picnic table. Plenty of room to park your boat, or use one of the private marina slips for extra convenience. We opted to leave our trailer here in their monthly storage after the 4th of July holiday, and paid extra to have it pulled out and hooked up for our arrival this weekend. Air was on, fridge was cold and all we had to do was pull up and unload! We will be back! read more

Beware of this place try to avoid at all cost. The customer service here is horrible not friendly and just plain old sucks. The elderly blonde lady in the main office is rude, has no sense of customer service, is inconsiderate and I want to say has a touch of possibly a little racism towards customers. We were here for the holiday Fourth of July weekend and we try to launch a pair of Sea-Doos and got turned away because the parking was full. The portion of the parking lot being full I was able to understand. While talking with the older lady I explained to her multiple times that we are not looking to park our truck and trailer here that we just want to launch and go and understand that the fee of $20 will still stand which is fine by me. I explained to her that we were renting a house for the weekend in the homeowners association right next-door to the golf course and we had a place to park our truck and trailer after launching. She told us we could not do it then we had to drive down the road to Jack Smith launch ramp. I even asked if I can rent a slip and pay the extra $35 a day for that space! She proceeded to tell me that all the slips were taken and rented a day ago. As we were discussing this a gentleman who walks in behind me and get assisted by a younger female at the counter and he was able to get a slip for the weekend and he clearly said that he called five minutes ago. This gentleman was a white guy. So I couldn't see the logic and the truth behind the elderly lady telling me that the boat slips were sold out , yet this customer was able to call five minutes ago and get one. From what I asked in the area the place is newly acquired by a different ownership and it doesn't look like they know what customer service should be. They should really look into training their employees on customer service and accommodations, how can they call themselves a resort establishment? This ordeal really put a damper on our holiday weekend. I urge everyone looking to stay at the needles marina do your research on all website reviews and try to avoid if possible. The staff here picks and chooses who they want to accommodate at the Needles Marina. read more
