I chose this office for their "BPA free" fillings well the Filtek they use is not even BPA free only Diamond and Venus brand is. First off the dental assistant was so rude because I did not want x ray's - she acted inconvenienced because they had to call my old dentist for x -ray's and then the Tristen Smith the dentist did not even INTRODUCE herself or shake my hand. She went on to look at my teeth and didn't even examine everything until I asked her to she then said "you have a lot of cavities" .. uh ok? so how many do I have? I had to keep asking questions to find out about anything. I was also told that they had "emergency clients" which is why they could not do my cleaning. SO GROSSLY UNPROFESSIONAL. STAY AWAY. There are much better alternatives in the EL area. The best part of the visit was the extremely nice front desk receptionist and props to her for putting up with that office. Maybe if they spent more money training in customer service than decorating their fancy office this place would be worth coming to.

Once I finally got in they spent over and our doing xrays. They clear can't be that holistic when they took Ofer 15 X-rays and stuck my entire head what appeared to run like a CT machine, then probed my mouth with more devices that are sure to have heavy EMF. When they were finished they decided to tell me they weren't going to clean my teeth today because they didn't have enough time. The dentist and dental assistant said "by the time we realized you needed a full exam (still never explained what a full exam entails) it was too late to call you". So on top of the excessive amounts of rescheduling they don't even respect their patients time enough to give them a 30 seconds phone call. At no point in time did they say "sorry I should have explained that to you" or "sorry we should have called you" they almost made it seem like it was my fault. I am super bummed because I really wanted to like this practice. I will give them one more chance before I go back to my old dentist (who always went above and beyond to communicate scheduling and any other changes that may occur). I did love this office for the first few visits. Then I go in for this work that again is not needed immediately and they give me a 243.00$ bill and state they made an error when looking at how much dental coverage I actually had and that the miscalculated and the rest would be available until January. Remember they are the ones who told me "you have extra money from your coverage so we should take care of procedure X, Y, and Z before your money goes to waste. overall they did me dirty I called 11/25/2020 tell let them know there was no way I would pay for a service when I only got it because they said the money would go to waste if not used. I could have waited until 1/2021 (my dental insurance renews and I get a new batch of funds)and got the same service for free that was done on 11/24/2020. Upon calling on 11/25/2020 I was then told the bill was adjusted to 25$, I advised that was much more reasonable and I would pay the next visit. Then on 12/14/2020, I get a bill from the office in the mail again for the 243.00$. I have called they have been little to no help. I was put on hold for 15 mins for notes to be reviewed only to get an incomplete response. I am now told I will be contacted back in the next few days by a manager. This is ASHAMED they told me I had extra money, they suggested services to be completed to use the extra money, then they come back apologizing for the error in information but still want me to pay a bill that I didn't need to get. Again, on 1/2021 State employees get additional dental insurance so I could have waited. I did attempt to resolve this via phone with the office on two occasions. once 11/25 (I was told the bill had been adjusted and I only owed a 25$ co-pay) Then on 12/15 when I received the bill for 234$ rather than 25$. Jenny i believe was the one i spoke with who left me on hold 17 mins to review the notes then came back and said someone would call me back later this week. That is not acceptable, I was wrongly billed and want it resolved promptly i should not be ignored it should be handled. Again, I had great experiences at this office until this incident now I'm extremely disappointed in the service i am receiving and the lack of attention to my issue. At this point I have contacted the Attorney General Consumer protection department to get involved because what happened it unacceptable. Its one thing to estimate someone cost of service at this office flat out told me I had money in my dental account to spend that just was not there at all. They were wrong and scheduled me appointment to spend all the funds before my insurance renews in January. UPDATE: ROBIN/RHONDA FROM THE OFFICE CALLED AND THEY CORRECTED ALL BILLING AND MY BALANCE IS NOW 0$. I APPRECIATE THAT THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND HONORED WHAT I WAS TOLD. THAT'S GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, BUT HOW YOU FIX THEM MATTERS.

I have had bad experiences with dentists before and Dr. Deyoung always takes the time to explain the procedure and what is going on with my teeth - as well as gives different options for treatment. She never pressures her patients into any type of treatment, and I haven't had any problems with the filling she did 2 years ago. The office and staff also goes above and beyond to answer any questions. When I had questions about the filling material (I was pregnant and am breastfeeding) Dr. Deyoung did the research and was very attentive to my concerns. This really is one of most pleasant offices around, and I would recommend Dr. Deyoung in a heartbeat for any dental work.

It was a fantastic visit and I highly recommend people give her an opportunity to help with their dental needs. Dr. DeYoung has a very warm chair-side personality and provided excellent care of me today. It's been a few years since I'd ventured in to a dental office and was pleasantly surprised with the new techniques they used (high-tech and painless bite wing x-rays). First time I can remember leaving a dentist office that my jaw and gums weren't threatening to get even with me. Really can't say enough good things about my visit as I'm still in shock it was such a pleasant experience. Guess I'll keep my next appointment. :)

We called in ahead of time and gave them the insurance information. My wife needed her wisdom teeth removed. They told us our insurance covers that. Great. So my wife went in and got the procedure done. Everything seemed super. Then... we got the bill. It was something like $400 - $500!! I'm like... what? Called them up and they're like, yeah, your insurance doesn't cover extractions. I told them that we verified this beforehand and you told us that they do cover extractions. She admitted that she said that and said she was just wrong. I'm OK, so what are you going to do about it? She's like... well, nothing, you have to pay. I'm like listen, you told me the price of the procedure up front. There were no complications and no extra charges. You can't just change the price on me by like $400 and just expect me to pay. We talked to her, her manager, etc. etc. Nobody was willing to understand. At the least, I expected to pay a reduced amount. That was my thought. It was your mistake, but I'm a reasonable guy. If the insurance is not going to pay you anything, then maybe we can split the difference. Nothing... no cooperation at all. I didn't want to deal with collections and risk my credit, so I just paid it. However, I will never go back and I will tell people I know about what they did.

When I checked out after picking up my mouthguard, I was told that I still owed. The claim was not put through until January because that's when I picked it up and the price increased by 160%. At no time when I made the appointments, checked out, paid for the mouthguard, or made the appointment for pick up, was I told that this would not be filed until January. I did discuss when I made the appointments that my insurance in 2026 was not as good and they cheered me on for making the appointment in December and paying in cash. Whether this was shady practices to get more money, or lack of training for those who schedule, sit reception/checkout, do the scans, those I interacted with multiple times, I don't know. They will not refund what I paid. So now I'm not only out that money, but the mouthguard. Be careful when they are soliciting appointments.
