The house was in a flood zone and he had so much extra valuable information about what to look for when living on the water. He spent so much time with us and his experience as a contractor was also very valuable information. We hired ProSpec as part of the home inspection process for our first home. I found them through…read moreYelp and researched their website and spoke to Russell Class (PE) to set up the appointment. His colleague, Joe Reis (home inspector). Joe Reis is not a PE, but he is incredibly thorough. Due to the impending rain, he arrived at the house over 45 minutes early to evaluate the exterior portions of the property. Then proceeded to look over every inch - crawling into crawl spaces, measuring moisture levels in various areas, checking the integrity of different structures. He spent nearly 4.5 hours at the house. The inspection was completed on a Thursday evening and he completed the 101 page report by Sunday (on a holiday weekend). The report was fantastically detailed, outlining even minor potential issues to the most important safety issues and included many photos. It was very clear, with issues highlighted at the beginning of the report, as well as reviewed in the bulk of the report (highlighted in red, for the layman reader's ease). He included a cost estimate of the repairs as well. I would absolutely recommend ProSpec to anyone. They were professional, thorough, and also just friendly guys!
