Down-to-earth vibe Khrys actually listens--not just trying to make a sale like at a lot of other places. My son just turned 5, so I felt he was old enough to get started with music lessons. I scheduled a…read more30 minute appointment for him with Jess. Her unconventional teaching style kept him captivated the entire piano lesson, and he was excited to go home and practice his new piano skills. We needed to schedule my son's ongoing lessons for week nights, and Jess isn't available outside of weekends, so my son's next appointment was with Rachael Kone. She was exceedingly patient and sweet, but her teaching style was more formal, and it didn't seem to be the right fit for my high-energy child who didn't stay as interested this time around & ended up getting the wiggles halfway through her lesson. So, I called Camille (the business owner, and someone who also has tons of music experience) to ask for assistance getting a piano teacher that would be a good fit for my son during our available times. She said that Anton Maroun would be available during our needed times, and that he is a great teacher for younger students like my son, who might occasionally need the teacher to burst out into a short vocal performance in order to keep them focused on the music. My son's first lesson with Anton will take place this coming week, and I'm excited to see how this works out. Either way, I'm very happy to have found an affordable, local place where the staff is friendly & knowledgeable and there's enough instructors on staff to find the right musical fit for everyone.

I had put on custom light strings and still wasn't happy with it's action. I decided to take it to Russell and see what he thought. He took one look at it and noticed that it possibly hadn't been setup before. He saved my newly (night before) installed strings and wow it plays amazingly now. I tried it out and he said "You should hear it from here" so I handed him the guitar and he played some Travis picking and yeah it sounds amazing. Barre chords are coming along better and the guitar feels more comfortable without the struggle. For the record I've bought a couple guitars from him and will continue to add to my collection via Moonlight Music. The work was quick and I had it back in no time.

Do not contact this school if you are looking for a babysitter for your pre-school children. They…read moremight actually try to show them how to hold a musical instrument or expose them to medieval scrawls they claim are a "musical staff and notes." They know nothing about feeding time for 2-year-olds. I know a 3-year old can't even hold a Stratocaster let alone move the whammy bar unless they are already standing in the Ace Frehley position. They should know that a Fender Mustang is the best-suited guitar for any child 4 or under, the radius is a loving 9.5 and if you put 9s on one, it plays like buttah. And an acoustic guitar is too big for a 4-year-old, mine couldn't even get her hand around the long cross bow handle thing with the plinky wires on it. Go to another school if you actually expect your child to be well-fed and have clean hands when you pick them up.
