You can tell immediately that Dianne has experience teaching children of all ages. My 6 year old daughter has been taking lessons from her for a year and has done very well with Dianne. My 4 year old son was begging to take piano lessons too even though he can't read but Dianne has been teaching him for a few weeks and maintaining his attention as well. We love that she comes to our home and always has recommendations for music spots around town. She makes learning music fun, as it should be!! read more

I am so impressed with Dianne's piano teaching. She has been working with 3 of my grandchildren (ages 8,10, 14) for the past few months. Her approach to teaching combines her expertise as a musician with an ability to make learning piano accessible and fun for different ages. She's very professional, with clear expectations, and provides helpful feedback for both student and parents. The progress I've seen so far is really amazing. I highly recommend Dianne! read more

We love working with Dianne! She is engaging and patient with our daughter who has been taking in-home lessons with her for over two years now. I'm excited that our younger daughter is now beginning weekly lessons as well. In addition to teaching a strong understanding of technique, she encourages our daughter to find and play popular songs she loves which keeps her excited to practice. We also appreciate the small recitals she hosts each year - wonderful experience for the students to show off their skills and gain exposure to playing for an audience. We recommend Dianne for anyone interested in learning to play! read more

Dianne has been a great piano teacher. As a retired man with limited piano ability, I was looking for someone who was flexible in her approach and could relate to an older beginner. Dianne is both. She works with me to learn simplified versions of classical pieces that I like while also making sure I learn the scales, drills, and theory that I need to be successful It has only been 5 months but I am making good progress and enjoying it thoroughly. I highly recommend Dianne. read more

We only have great things to say about Dianne & extremely happy the girls are learning piano with her. We had the girls enrolled with another piano instructor prior but did not see them progress as well as they have with Dianne. They started this past April/May with Dianne and can see so much improvement via virtual lessons with everything going on & even with this format for now, our kids are enjoying their lessons with her. You can tell she really loves teaching and it shows. She's very professional, patient & provides good feedback for the student and parents. Her expectations are clear for her students level and we like her teaching style. Looking forward to the kiddos' progress as they grow & enjoy piano. read more

Dianne is amazing! She has been working with my elementary aged son and daughter for about 6 months. They had been at another local music school that we really enjoyed. As that school began to experience more frequent teacher turnover we decided to attempt to find some continuity and my wife and I are certainly pleased that we did. Dianne is patient and fun but keeps them focused and disciplined. She is detail oriented ensuring that they completely grasp a new concept before moving on to the next one. read more

My daughter took lessons from dianne for about a year before she/we had to move and the commute was no longer doable. However, within that year the lessons were great. Dianne is very understanding and relatable. She dis very well with my daughter and my daughter loved her lessons. She had (has) a good obvious connection with kids and is just generally a nice trusting person. She never rushes to push the lessons more than my daughter was able to grasp but was steady to make sure she understood everything moving at my girls pace. I was very sad when we had to stop the lessons but would recommened her as a piano teacher. My 6, now 7, year old daughter didnt know anything about a piano prior to her first lesson and now is able to play multiple songs and teach you a few things about composers and notes. Was very happy with our lessons with Dianne read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dianne! I always wanted to learn to play piano as a child but did not have the opportunity. My husband bought me a piano for my birthday last year, and by a stroke of luck I found Dianne. Now my sons (ages 10 and 7) and I take lessons weekly. Dianne is fun, inspirational, encouraging, energetic, and truly loves music. My sons have never complained about taking lessons. Rather, they rush to the piano when she comes, eager to play. Even if they don't always practice, she is always encouraging and inspires them through fun music rather than through lecturing them about practice. She knows everything from classical to rock and roll. We had our first recital this year and it was really neat to perform and see all her other students perform. Dianne is also a drummer so if you think she's an old fashioned boring teacher, think again! I feel so fortunate that Dianne has given our family the gift of music for years to come. In less than a year, the boys and I can read music and play so many songs. Dianne is a truly special teacher! read more
