We arrived with a group of 6 during our lunch break. It wasn't too busy and we had our choice of tables. The server was pleasant and prompt. Some comments from the group- "The crust was very good. Soft and tasty." Another comment "This would be the perfect pizza place if they had paper towel rolls instead of napkins". #3 - "The pizza was Soooooo good" I absolutely agree. The pizza here was awesome. I also wanted to mention that the salad bar was excellent. It was clean and well stocked with fresh ingredients. They have several novel items that I do not see often on salad bars.(dried cranberries, and sliced beets) We will be coming back. read more

My family was driving the long drive from Nashville to Duke in Durham after flying into BNA for my son's baseball camps, and we wanted to stop for a bite somewhere. We found this pizzeria on Yelp and we're glad we did. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Bacon Ranch and the equivalent of a Supreme pizza ( I can't remember the name) :-) . We also got a salad with ranch they said was homemade. Each food item was excellent. I can honestly say each of the pizzas was one of the best we've had and soooo tasty... and we've had a lot of pizza. :-) The salad was plentiful and the Ranch was very tasty as well. The staff of the restaurant was also very friendly. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a great tasting pizza! read more

Pizza buffet variety was limited & it's really cramped in the buffet area. If you don't eat pork, good luck! Even the chicken pizza had bacon in it! It's like they don't realize some people can't eat pork and for the buffet price, there should be other types of pizza without it. The staff were nice enough to suggest the beef, cheese and spinach veggie options which always disappeared fast in the blink of an eye, and I gave the 3 stars really for them bringing those remaining slices to my attention, the tasty spinach veggie pizza, cinnamon rolls & the salad bar. Just moved to NC today and I'm already sold. Fantastic Buffalo Chicken pie, and my wife loved her Hawaiian at well. And as a lifelong lover of Transformers, they completely had me in their clutches once I saw their Transformers: The Movie (1986) picture on the wall. Five stars for this pizza buffet. It's not often you find a pizza buffet worth raving about but this is one. We stop here every time we drive from Raleigh to Asheville. It is connected to a gas station but don't let that throw you. I've always found it to be very clean and welcoming with great music. Their specialty pizzas are imaginative and well thought out. We always ask to have the buffalo chicken made and they accommodate immediately. It is our favorite pizza anywhere. I am fully confident this could win first in a pizza contest. Great for kids with video games in an area slightly separated from the dining room and incredibly affordable. read more

We chose to be those people who go out to eat on Christmas Eve & we're so glad we chose roc'n oven! They played classic 80's rock & had a nice salad bar & pizza buffet. The pepperoni, cheese, veggie & buffalo chicken pizzas were all delicious, fresh & hot. We ordered wings as an appetizer, 1/2 cajun & 1/2 hot (the hottest sauce they offer I can't recall the name) the wings were cooked perfect & had a nice crisp to them. The Cajun rub was flavorful & seasoned evenly for it to be a dry rub. The arcade games take you to a time you wish you grew up in. Service was good, no waiting for refills. Nobody complained about our toddler wanting to run around & greet everyone & they also have a small collection of beers on draft to choose from. Great prices on the buffet & beer! The first time my parents ate here, the place was full of law-enforcement officers. That says a lot - cops know where good food is [insert smiley face here]. We went shortly after opening. It was not busy, though it got busier as we ate. Salad bar was full of fresh ingredients, pizzas were hot and plentiful, service was great. What a great discovery I've driven past this location many times but never before realized it was there. They serve a variety of dishes (leaning toward Italian), but the centerpiece of this restaurant is the buffet. The table has an ample salad bar and a wide variety of pizza, including a couple kinds of dessert pizza. There also is spaghetti, mac & cheese, and two kinds of soup. On Wednesdays, our server told us, they add wings to the all-you-care-to-eat bar. I have worked in pizza for 15 years. I know that pineapple makes pizza a lol soggy but it does not make it to where you can't even pick the slice up. My wife called to see what could be done about it and this kid said he wasn't going to squeeze every since slice of pineapple. No one expects that. I also asked if they could put garlic powder or butter on the outside of my calzone and was told sure no problem upon getting it there's nothing. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. No apology no trying to make it right unless I drove up there and I ordered delivery so why am I going to drive up there. So now I'm stuck with some crap food I'm not going to eat. Thanks a ton!!! read more

Went to Roc'n Oven on a Saturday just after they opened. There where a few people there for the buffet which didn't look awful but wasn't overly appealing. Ordered a hot sub and waited a good while, thirty minutes or more for my Turkey Bacon sub. It was good but nothing to go out of the way for. The building seemed fairly clean, a little out dated and is located beside a semi-rundown gas station. Overall it wont be on my list for places to eat in the Newton-Conover area. read more

The absolute WORST cheesesteak I have ever had in my life. I've never even heard of only a 9 inch cheesesteak to start with. The meat was horrible let alone barely any on the roll. And almost no cheese either. And the price is ridiculous. Almost $9!?! I will never be giving my business here again. Came here after my sons soccer game that was down the street. Glad we did!! The staff was very friendly the minute we walked in. The salad bar had so many items on it and they kept fresh pizzas coming out on the pizza buffet the whole time we were there!! And you couldn't beat the price.... $6.85 for the lunch Buffett!!! They have a great buffet bar including lazagna and alfredo noodles. Also, they have mac n cheese on the bar which is good for the small picky eaters. Excellent subs too. Salad bar offers all the yummy things that go great in a salad. They also have these little yummy garlic breads that you cant get enough of.The wait staff go above and beyond for their customers. Please do not order online. I just placed a order from this place. After one hour I called and asked where my food was. They finally said that they only received an email. But they have my money though . I asked for a confirmation receipt from them. The manager said that they don't send recipient. I finally received my food and low and behold the whole order was wrong. The manager called me not to apologize but to tell me that they don't send confirmation recipients or emails. Which is a lie because my son warned me on how gross their ribs were. And I have that confirmation email on that order. So I know he lied. The manager was rude and who ever answered the phone was also. the food was nasty and cold and wrong. Save your money. The only one that was polite was the delivery driver. If your going to be rude, at least make sure the food is good. read more
