So the people are nice - genuinely nice, and that's about where the praise stops…read more My wife had purchased a couples massage package for us, as we like to try different places when deals come up. This was one of those "Oh...so THATS why they have a deal" places. They greet you with tea, which is nice, but the location overall is basically impossible to find. There is a very small sign that gives you a general idea of where it probably is, but this is also in the middle of a super busy Bustleton Ave. Now, the massages. The paperwork they have you fill out is funny, but kind of a red flag that they aren't super professional - one of the things they ask you to initial actually says "You agree to and understand that this massage session is completely non-sexual" - if you need to put that on a form...there's a problem. So we are led into a room to get changed - and to basically put our things on the floor. The tables are comfortable enough, but most of the covering is papertowel. The two men that provided the actual massages were clearly not trained. They meant well, were very nice guys, but had no idea what they were doing. I am not exaggerating when I say that my "masseuse" spent 15+ minutes on my rear end, and nothing else. At first I thought "Ok, maybe working out the sciatic nerve?" And then no, he's just rubbing my rear end. I had clearly written on the form "upper back, shoulders" - worked on once. The guy who was "massaging" my wife, was dressed like he just came home from a labor job. Again, very nice person, however when you are going to get a massage - old-faded t-shirt and work pants just don't scream "professional" or "holistic" like this place claims to be. Overall I can't recommend even giving this a try - saying to yourself "well maybe this guy just had a bad experience" - the people that work there are not trained, do not dress as if they are there to provide a service, and they have this really odd need to tell you 4 or 5 times "do not worry, you will be covered the whole time, but keep on your underwear, this is professional, you'll be covered up" - I get it, you give massages. So thumbs up on being nice guys, and a nice space once you find it - but I'm a nice guy, and that doesn't qualify me to be something im not trained for. Skip this one.

We went into a room decorated like a medieval castle. We had hooks onto which we could hang our clothes. The massage therapists came in and began our Swedish massage. Very good massge! I'm a deep tissue massage guy, but this worked all the knots out. We the got into our robes, which I found a bit small. Off to the wrap room! Mike came in and applied volcanic ash and wrapped us up like a couple of burritos. About 30 minutes later, we were done. Off into the shower we went. Kind of small for two people. Then a bit of hemp oil to smooth out the akin and off we went. The place was clean, the people friendly and good at their jobs. I'd probably go back despite the traffic. Go visit and enjoy yourself!

I had never tried the Spin shoes before and they have them available for free to use to clients. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and showed me how to use them since it was my first time. First class was free which was also nice. And they have childcare. Couldn't ask for more! I wish this gym was closer to me as I only have Crunch HV near me and they only have a couple RIDE classes a week whereas this one has 3 a day (they also have Barre and TRX). They had ~25 bikes in the class. I liked that they had it dark, especially during intense moments. It does have black lights so if you wear white or neon, you will glow. Pricing: $18/class; 3 classes $16/class; 5 classes $15/class; 10 classes $14/class; $115 monthly unlimited or $99 if do recurring. Happy I found this spot and can't wait to try more instructors!

I don't necessarily agree with push ups or the dumbbell training during the class but that's just me. I'm not going to say if it's right or wrong... most people seem to enjoy it so...so be it. Btw - Check online for specials. I was able to get a 10pack (10 classes) for an end of Summer deal - $100. It's Definitely worth it. Full price admission isn't for me since I belong to another gym and really don't have the time. I would join if I could though. Check this place out.

Out of all the powerlifting gyms in the Philadelphia area, this happens to be the best bang for your buck. As for accessories, all the machines are carefully selected to optimize strength and hypertrophy. That's not to mention all the cardio equipment and group class options this gym offers. The wall art is absolutely gorgeous and creates a welcoming ambiance for all kinds of athletes. Powerlifting and comic books are two passions of mine, and DCF has managed to blend them both.

I specifically chose this option to maintain flexibility. Unfortunately, just three weeks later, there was a death in my family and I had to temporarily relocate to a city with no Crunch location at all. I attempted multiple times to pause my membership for a month or two, but could never get through by phone, and there is no option to pause in the app. After repeatedly trying and getting no response, I eventually went to cancel, only to be charged over $100, despite the membership being contract-free. I called daily for a week before finally reaching someone at the front desk, who apologized and said they would look into issuing a refund and would call me back to reinstate and pause my account. That was weeks ago. I never received a call, email, or any follow-up, and I've since been unable to reach anyone again. The lack of communication, inability to pause a supposedly flexible membership, and being charged under these circumstances was extremely disappointing. I don't know, maybe don't have your gym as an option for a 3-day guest pass trial if it doesn't exist "this month". I drove there for nothing and left with a bad taste in my mouth.
