I've rarely had problems here before, but my recent experience getting a gel manicure was terrible. I regret not catching the name of the technician who did my nails. She kept applying and removing layer after layer sometimes four coats at a time; while having me put my hands under the drying light. She continually switched between colors, trying black, white, and pink, but for some reason, couldn't get it right. By the next day, my nails had already chipped. I returned, hoping the manager would fix them, but he insisted the same technician redo my manicure. Despite her efforts, my nails chipped again the following day. Well... I got my nails done here last weekend and it was done by a unprofessional employee. This women sat at the third station on Saturday. She didn't know the first thing about applying acrylic, shaping or how to even applying nail polish. I am the customer it's what I need done, it's not what you feel I would like because others has done it. She need to be fired honestly. Stay away from this place! Waste of money and time. read more

They basically have a whole new staff now and the majority of them seem to have just graduated from the academy or something bc their skills isn't up to par. The new guy Leo seems very arrogant as he tried to rush me out the door when I went back for them to fix it bc my nails came out lumpy, the gel didn't dry properly on the nail so the topcoat started bubbling when i went back for them to fix it he was basically rushing me out to take the next client he charged me $101 and did a horrible job. Even after tipping him $20 bc my nails were supposed to be really intricate. Didn't care about my concerns. Look at the base of the acrylic chipping already! I would never go here again. ! I am a frequent customer and the way they made me feel today I would never wish that on no one ! I went to get my nails done on Nov2 before they closed. A new guy did my nail and completely did not polish it correctly! The glitter was bumpy and lines was light ! I was so tired because I waited a hour to be seen that I said I come back tomorrow to get it fixed. I come back today November 3 and the owner in charge while Rocky is away tell me I have to pay for them to fix my nail ! Even though his coworker messed up my nail ! I was not at all please with my service I came in for a simple fill and the nail technician put in zero effort. She left a bunch of acrylic underneath my nail which I had to get out myself and it is painful. She literally did the minimum. She wasn't mean. Just not a very good nail technician. If you ever go here just let the man (who I believe is the owner) do your nails. He seemed to be the only one passionate about his job there. . I have been getting my nails done for 20 years. I assess whether a technician can do nails or not based on the foundation and how they apply the acrylic and then how they shape the acrylic to match the shape of your natural nail. just based on those two things Rocky's is not a great nail salon. It's just a convenient location. Most people don't want to travel far to get their Nails done which is why most to just stick with the subpar service that they receive here. I got my refills done by Nancy (sits at 1st table as you walk in) very dry personality and uses the cheapest products. Within a week my nails were lifting because of the cheap gel polish and acrylic that they use. The other technician whose work is ok is Rocky, the owner. If it ever came down to the two I would always choose Rocky because he's very professional and personable. But overall the shop needs a lot of work. I'm all the way confused at some of the reviews on here where they give the shop 5 stars. That only tells me you haven't experienced a great nail salon. What happened to the days when there were a lot of great nail salons in New York have they all moved to Atlanta ??because that's where all the services are 100% on point. read more
