If you want a great nail salon experience come here. The staff are always pleasant, welcoming, do such a wonderful job and everything is priced very well. I highly suggest the spa pedicures. I have even recommended this place to overly picky people and they loved it so much that when they are in the area they make sure to schedule time to get their nails done at Tudor. I started going to Tudor Nail in October after Sunny Nails were too backed up to accommodate my appointment. Tudor Nail took me in as a walk in and did a wonderful job with hard gel nail extensions. I've visited them 3 times so far and will continue to see them once every 3 weeks. Great work, friendly service, and a really nice shoulder massage after they are done with your nails. read more

This is by far the best nail salon! I'm coming here as a regular now. All of my technicians has been very kind professional and understanding. Particularly Annie and Vicky, they are both amazing, they take their time and pride in their work. They always listened to all my requests and recommends what they think is the best for my nails. I used to get a manicure and pedicure here all the time and their staff is very detail oriented, very thorough in their work. However, on multiple occasions, their technicians will STOP working on you in the middle of the service to accommodate OTHER clients at a moments' notice. I have been shifted between 2-3 different technicians while getting a simple filling or pedicure, prolonging the time it takes to finish. Their services are great and it's a very relaxing atmosphere - but their staff needs to work on staying with ONE customer and not pawning off their clients on someone else in the middle of the service. They did an ok job but I would always have issues with asking them to refile my nails because they would do it sloppy or uneven. 7/15/17 last visit, horrible the woman cut 3 of my fingers/ cuticles and I was bleeding. Plus sloppy job on powder gel, I left with nail polish in my finger. Never again! They didn't even have the decency to take some money off after they butchered my fingers. I left in tears. read more

I have been living in the Rockaways for 10 years. There are several nail salons in the area and Ive tried them all. Tudor has been my go to place for the past several year. Vicky is thorough in her craft and makes sure you are pleased with the final result. I am very anal when it comes to my nails. I wrap them in acrylic but I hate when its applied too thick. Vicky listens to my needs and completes the job every time. I would definitely recommend anyone moving into the area to make an appointment with her. read more

I was once a loyal customer but I will never be back. The customer service has been gradually going down the tubes and now it's non existent. The nail techs can't do a French manicure to save their lives- two different ones tried before I told them to take it off because I wasn't giving anyone else a chance. Ever since Ada left this place sucks. The techs are rude and actually mock you to your face. It's sick, I had one, the new owner I think, shrieking at me at the top of her lungs because I told her that the gel nail polish she did was streaked with black and had bubbles..... the color was supposed to be white. The last time I wrote a review for Tudor Nail, I was very pleased and eager to share the experience I had. Please be prepared for a very detailed review of my experience today at the very same salon. Let me start off by saying that since my first time getting my manicure and pedicure there, I've been there at least a dozen more times not including today's visit. There are those visits which went smoothly without any issues and a couple for which I was slightly turned off due to lack of professionalism, including today. Because I am able to do my very own manicure and pedicure and have been told that I do it better than most nail techs my friends and family go to, I am very particular when it comes to the service that I pay for. During a previous visit, I experienced being told that the nail tech I was there to see, Zoey, who started the process of doing my pedicure at the time, had to stop for me to have another tech to finish my pedicure and manicure because Zoey had a previously scheduled appointment set up. This was not mentioned to me at all when I arrived there, by the way. It would've been more professional to tell me so I could've made a choice to either stay and take the chance with Zoey anyway knowing she may not be able to finish it, or come back another day. That was strike one. The second nail tech, Cindy, did not do a bad job, and balanced out the negative experience I had with having to settle for someone else. Since then, I learned that it is best to call ahead of time to see whether or not Zoey is available and if not I would decide whether Cindy would be sufficient for that time. My reason for writing this review is due to an unsatisfactory experience during my visit today. I placed a call to find out whether Zoey would be available for a regular manicure and pedicure. Although it was last minute, Annie, the presumed to be owner of Tudor Nail, answered the phone and informed me that Zoey had an appointment set up for 5pm for a manicure but would be available at 5:30pm. Please keep in mind that I mentioned before that I commute to go to this nail salon from Brooklyn, NY. I'm not always the most prompt person, but even after stopping at Duane Reade which is down the block from the salon to pick out some nail polishes (I never use salon polish unless I do gel), I got to the salon at 4:50pm which meant a 40min wait. Not a problem. I spoke with Zoey who was prepared to take me at 5pm but informed her that I was told she had a previous appointment and did not want the same thing which happened before to happen again. Annie informed me that Zoey would take me at 5:30pm when my appointment was set up. Time is valuable and I hate it wasted. I waited with no issue but once 5:20pm came and Zoey saw that the 5pm appointment never showed up, she told me she would just take me. What were the odds that Annie made a mistake when she wrote down the appointment time for the first client in the wrong time slot? Extremely high apparently! At 5:30pm, guess who walked in, and guess who was asked to now have to wait until this lady's manicure was done. This is strike 1 and a half and only because Cindy did not do a bad job with my mani/pedi the first time my tech had to be switched. read more

I felt like I needed to try out a new nail salon because I wasn't satisfied with what my usual salon was doing for my nails anymore. After reading lots of reviews, I decided to give Tudor a try. I always get sns and it's very important to me that they come out looking nice and professional, considering the price these salons charge. At first, Annie was very helpful. She led me to zoey who she said would do a good job. She told me that the younger girls there do sns really well. She was right! I've heard positive things about zoey and Vicky in Yelp. And now I'm here to let you know it's true! So far I only went once and had a good experience with zoey. She was attentive and made sure I liked my nails, and she did a great job. Not only that but I also got a full manicure with the sns job unlike the old place I used to go to. They cleaned my cuticles and everything. My nails are all even, have a great shape, and they aren't thick. They look very natural! Here's so pros and cons about my experience: Pros Very nice staff Excellent job Decent price $35 Attentive Care about the final product Cons Ripped seats! I don't know about anyone else but I have a real fear of ripped seats where I can't sit on them lol please get new seats if you can, or cover them! Will never come here again! My mom and I decided to go here because we had found 2 gift certificates. Granted they were almost 3 years old, so they weren't accepting them (even though the card doesn't say they expire). My mom was getting a pedicure and the water sprayed out of hose and got her pants soaked. And then when they were buffering her to remove callus they caught her ankle and cut it and she was bleeding. To think they messed up twice on their part and didn't try and accommodate her in any way and at least take the gift certificates is bad service in my eyes. She was very nice great personality and very patient with me (I wanted complicated designs on my nails which took some time ). She took her time and my nails came out identical to the picture i showed her. best part my tips lasted a full three weeks without chipping or the tips falling off (and my hands are in water most of the time). Went back for the second time today and was very pleased. This time a man did my nails. Was very polite always asking if the shape size and color of my nails were okay. I recently moved to the area so I looked for a nail salon with very good reviews. Very disappointed. Pros: No wait time on a Sunday. Average prices. Friendly staff. Pedicure was satisfactory. Cons: I've been getting a UV gel manicure for years at different nail salons. This is the first time I haven't been happy with my manicure. They were very rough with the removal process, broke 3 of my nails, filed them unevenly, left most nails rough/sharp, and left polish on my skin/cuticle/under nail. Less than 1 week later, 2 more of my nails were cracked from the poor filing and the polish started peeling up at the edges. I had to cut my nails all the way down and file them to make them even. I am not a difficult person to please, but I am better off doing my nails myself. Definitely will not be going back. read more
