Morsel Munk... super cute store. They are the best for wakeboard and water sports stuff! Heather…read moreand Scott are the best! I'm a snowboarder and I went in to look at wakeboards bc I figured I could only get a good deal on the web... walked out with a brand new Ronix wakeboard and bindings. They price matched the web and they showed me all the different board shapes and features. Great customer service and very family friendly! And the giant frog painted on the building is sick!

Their motto is Have Fun, Grow Young. I thought it was just a toy store and frankly it is and so much more. From children to adult, this place has something for nearly everyone when it comes to being outdoors and enjoying yourself. I loved the selection of really great quality and good name products. I am not writing this to go into detail on their products but the thing that impressed me more than anything was the genuine friendliness of the staff. I spent most of my life in Retail and know the hard sell when I see it and this was anything but. Mitch especially was intent on giving me information on whatever I wanted to know without trying to push me to buy anything. When it comes to bying anything, I prefer information on the product itself and then I make my own decision. I also thought that their prices were extremely competitive. For a small store, I was blown away by the selection. The place is on Main St in Winstead, Ct (#118) they sell anything from backyard sports toys to water equipment (kneeboards, paddle boards, car racks and clothes for the kids and adults. I have never written a review on Yelp but I know Retail and the folks that own them and work in them and this place is worth the trip. Their site is morselmunk.com to let you see what they have. I put down the price range is moderate and it is on some goods and can be pricey on others but competitive with other places that carry the same products. Have fun and grow young! LOL.

I stopped by one of my favorite stores in the Berkshires yesterday, and it felt quite nostalgic to…read morebe back. For quite some time, I used to come here with a friend or by myself, pick up a complementary map of Kennedy Park, and go for a little hike. The entrance to the park is right at the store's parking lot, which makes it especially convenient. The map shows the different trails throughout the park, and I would choose one and enjoy a leisurely hike. A nice lady warmly greeted me when I walked in. I browsed around the store for a while but didn't end up purchasing anything this time. I did notice their wonderful selection of hiking shoes displayed along the back wall, which caught my attention. Over the years, I've purchased quite a few items from this store, so it was nice to return and browse once again. It was wonderful to revisit a place that brought back such pleasant memories of those hikes, as well as some enjoyable shopping experiences over the years.

I came in to drop off my snowboard for repair and after looking it over the next day, they told me the honest truth that it was a bit too of a complex repair for them to trust that it was stick long term. They suggested for the price it would cost to make it perfect, given the year of the board (2017), I'd be better off getting a new board and pocketing the difference. I appreciated how up front they were and headed their advice! I'll be running the board through it's final paces this season and getting a new one come spring. Even beyond repairs, this shop has it all. From kayaks to climbing gear, skis to paddle boards, they've got everything you need to enjoy the outdoors for all four seasons.

We buy all of our kids' lacrosse equipment at Sartorius now, and they've never steered us wrong. Our older daughter was ready for an advanced/high level stick and we appreciated so much that she could try many different options right there in the store and get feedback from staff members who actually know the sport and could guide her towards the best options for the position she plays. Our younger daughter's goalie helmet had a hardware issue about 6 months after we bought it and I brought it to Sartorius expecting to need to pay $40 for a new throat guard - not so, Chris had the right hardware and fixed it for us in minutes. Their stringing services are also fairly-priced and quick.

Chris and Paul guided me to not one, but two pairs of shoes (Hoka and Saucony) that fit great. My orthotics squeaked a bit in the shoes, but Chris had a brilliant solution that involved cutting a layer of thin material to insert in the shoes. Takes time and skill, but he did it for all four shoes while I waited. Now I can sneak up on people without the squeaking giving me away... Happy and grateful (and stealthy) customer.

A friend of mine recommended this shop to me for purchasing the ski boots that she knew I needed,…read moresince her husband had been so impressed with the shop when he bought new boots there several weeks ago. For both of us, this shop is far from the closest, being almost an hour's drive from our houses. But the long drive was well worth it. I have been skiing for 53 years, and I have never been in a ski shop that had such extensive inventory, and more importantly, such incredible customer service. As my friend recommended, I asked for Edge, their most experienced boot fitter. He was so knowledgeable and patient and explained the pros and cons of each selection. Also - importantly - he did not try to "up sell" me: when available, he pointed out sale items that were from the previous ski season that would be good substitutes for the more expensive current season items. My skis will be ready for pick up in a couple of weeks, and I am looking forward to returning so I can peruse the helmets, clothing, ski googles and other items I didn't have time to look at on my first trip!

TLDR: They do not put the proper prices on their tags so when you arrive at the register they expect you to pay a higher amount than indicated on the tag because they have to "go by the price in the system." They hands down have one of the best ski/snowboard apparel selections in all of CT, but with shady pricing like this, I'll take my business elsewhere. In the end I found the same items I was looking for at a place in PA. This is my email complaint: "I just spent about an hour and a half in your Avon store. I had a wonderful experience with the gentleman helping me decide between two different sets of ski pants and jackets. After working it through with him to decide on the final choices I went to the register. I purchased pants and a jacket totaling $620 then I realized that the jacket came up priced at $60 more than it should have. The tag on the jacket says $300 and your system said $360. The person who was ringing me out would not honor the $300 price as shown on the tag. As a result, I returned the entire order. And I'm very disappointed in my experience. I've purchased from you before and I appreciate the large selection of options that you have and I'm really disappointed that because the price was not marked appropriately that I would be the one that would take the hit and not you.
