I then saw that Vasu had an RF device called ThermoClear which treats just about any superficial skin issue. Jennifer gave me a very thorough treatment, but I had low expectations considering all the YEARS of other ineffective treatments in the past. Well, I look in the mirror this morning (nine days past treatment) and, BY GOD, the treatment is actually working!!! All of the most visible capillaries are either gone or diminishing. I can't wait for my next appointment. I'm thinking a few more treatments will take YEARS off my skin. (Also, ThermoClear is about half the cost of your average laser treatment.) This is life-changing for me--more self confidence, WAY less makeup, more swimming and exercise, less time getting ready and, most importantly, no more wasted time and money on other useless treatments. Thank you, Vasu!!!

(Not to mention hairless underarms. Chef's kiss.) I'm standing right here telling you that after a short series of LHR I am actually beach ready--and it's snowing right now in Boulder, btw. I am so happy I did this. All of those dang pesky parts I've "always meant to do laser hair removal on"? SORTED! What a nice check off my bucket list! Honestly, I am in and out in less than 15 min every time. Can't wait to bask in this new NON-FACTOR part of my life!! VASU IS LEGIT! And Jen is the best around.

I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here.

I'm not someone who wants to walk around with a frozen face just because a spa wanted to upcharge me on units. Rachel is the opposite. She is meticulous and knows how to achieve a natural, youthful look that isn't frozen or over-corrected. I am actually getting compliments on how good I look (it's summer so everyone thinks it's. tan - but it's not! It's Rachel's beautiful work). I'll be 40 in September and I look smooth and flawless. Best part is when I smile, it's an actual smile and not frozen-Botox look. FWIW, I've been getting Botox and Dysport for about 13 years. I've done it all - the big city spas that charge an arm and a leg (I was in San Francisco for 10 years), plastic surgeons in Denver and also spas in Boulder. I actually go and interview people before I commit because I am not about to walk around with a frozen face for six months because I was over-injected. I want to get a feel for how they treat their customers and I've seen it all. Boulder is lucky to have Rachel. She is on par with the spas in metro cities, which are very competitive and only those who understand a natural look survive. Can't sing her enough praises. She has a lifelong customer and that is coming from someone who won't work with other med spas in Boulder.

If you're new to all of this and need a comfortable, knowledgable, and friendly environment, look…read moreno further! I had been wanting to try botox after hearing many good things about it from my coworkers, friends and family. My friend had recommended Youthbar to me as we had been talking about her migraines and our RBFs and how it's helped her. I called in I was met with one of the friendliest receptionists I have ever come across. She was patient with despite my many questions and talkative nature and when she couldn't answer my questions, she booked the free consultation for me where I could ask all the questions I wanted. My consultation was with Meadow. She was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and didn't push me on getting more done than I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable I ended up doing the procedure! It was quick, minimal pain, and I am so happy with the results! My take on all parts of this business is below. Procedures: Frown Lines - I have botox to correct my frown lines around my eyebrows. While the frown lines weren't terrible to begin with, this is a preventative measure to make sure they don't worsen over time. Pain is like a 2/10 for me and there were no scars. The effects started around day three. It was weird not being able to make my "mad" face anymore. Added benefits aside from how it looks are I'm not squinting at my computer screen, my headaches have been reduced to minimal pain or nothing, and I truly believe my mood has improved because of it. I genuinely feel happier since doing this. Lip Flip - My top lip would curl under leaving a line whenever I would smile. It has been something I've been very self conscious of and originally thought I wanted a lip filler to help correct it. Meadow gave me more information about the lip flip and we decided to try that to start out instead of the lip fillers. The pain was a little more than the forehead since there are more nerves in my upper lip but they kindly put numbing gel on before hand to reduce the discomfort. Minimal bleeding but the results ended up being better than I expected. The lip flip has softened my smile preventing my lip from coming up so high it make my lip curl and now it sits beautifully above my teeth and you can see the pink of my top lip! I'm extremely happy with it and it has improved my confidence to smile in my pictures again. Overall Experience was amazing. From the people who work here, the ease of booking appointments, and help people like me feel good about themselves, I am so glad I was recommended this place. If you made it through all of this, drop my name with the receptionist to let them know as they love google reviews!

Dr. Pilkington helped me develop a comprehensive treatment plan to clear up my skin fast. Prior to meeting with her, I was on Proactiv; it took some convincing, but she eventually converted me to prescription products, which, much to my chagrin, worked much better. Then, I was switched from VitaClear (Proactiv's vitamin/mineral supplement) to Skin Accumax, another game changer. Next, I was subjected to cautery on my sebaceous glands, which was initially very painful on my skin (to me it felt like I was getting stung by wasps), but a magical buzz device made it relatively painless. Finally, I did microneedling with Tegan Ryan to attenuate my acne scars. Throughout this entire process, I e-mailed Dr. Pilkington several questions -- she always responded the very same day. Tegan Ryan is the only aesthetician I've ever had, but she is without question the best. Microneedling was a little scary to me at first (just the sound of it made me cringe). Tegan put me at ease with her calm demeanor as well as lovely conversation -- I didn't feel any pain whatsoever even though she made me look like she'd just beaten me in an MMA fight. After three sessions of microneedling, several scars have not only diminished but practically disappeared! Upon completing the above comprehensive skin treatment plan over the course of just a few months, my skin looks much more youthful, I dare say like Dr. Pilkington's and Tegan's. In any event, I'm in my mid-thirties and am now happily getting carded again on a regular basis. :) Dr. Pilkington, Tegan, and the entire team -- Nicole, Matt, Courtney, Lindsay, etc. -- are truly exceptional. They all go the extra mile; if they ever don't know something right away, they research the answer and give me a quick call back. I'm so happy I decided to go to Azeal and highly recommend you do the same!

I called to schedule a new patient exam and was asked what I'm interested in. After answering that question (with my concern about potential skin cancer) was I told that the doctors are not accepting new patients. I told the receptionist that it was strange to be asked what I'm interested in first, if the doctor is not accepting new patients. I asked if the answer would be different if I was interested in cosmetic services and she told me "yes". There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit. This told me everything I need to know about this practice. Skin cancer, which is potentially lethal, is not something they have time for - cosmetics pay much more.

I genuinely wanted to love this location because I've had good experiences with LaserAway in the…read morepast, but unfortunately the Boulder location has been nothing but frustrating. Over the course of my treatments this year, this location has canceled and rescheduled my appointments THREE separate times. I live over an hour away (about an hour and fifteen minutes), so these aren't quick trips for me. Every appointment means planning my work schedule, arranging my day, and driving a significant distance. This latest experience was by far the worst. I was already on my way to my appointment and was only about 10 minutes away when I received a text that my appointment had been canceled. The first explanation I was given was that there was a gas leak at the building. Naturally, I was concerned, so I called back to verify what was happening. During that phone call, I was then told something completely different and that the nurse hadn't come into work that day. I understand emergencies happen. Gas leaks happen. Employees call out sick. Life happens. What I don't appreciate is receiving two completely different explanations for why my appointment was canceled after I had already driven over an hour. At that point after being canceled on for the third time, I told the staff that I no longer wanted to be rescheduled at the Boulder location. I explained that I wasn't comfortable continuing my treatments there because I had lost confidence in the reliability of the location. I specifically asked that my appointments not be rescheduled. Imagine my surprise when I opened my LaserAway app and discovered they had scheduled me for another appointment the very next morning without my knowledge or consent. To make matters worse, LaserAway has a cancellation policy that can charge patients if they cancel within 24 hours. Since THEY created this appointment less than 24 hours in advance, I was suddenly worried that I'd somehow be responsible for a cancellation fee for an appointment I never agreed to in the first place. No customer should have to worry about being charged because a location scheduled them without their permission. The treatments themselves may be great, but customer service and respect for a client's time matter just as much. Especially when people are paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars for these services. Driving over two hours round trip multiple times only to have appointments canceled, receiving conflicting explanations and then being rescheduled without my consent is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope LaserAway addresses how this location handles scheduling and communication because this experience has completely eroded my trust. I cannot recommend the Boulder location based on my experience.
