Five Star experience out of the box . Searching for a new medical office is always a hit or miss and this was definitely a hit! Appointment was made efficiently within a very reasonable wait time , questions answered patiently . Check -in to their lovely Boulder office with parking out front was an extra bonus . I was originally hesitant that PAs do the routine visits but after an appointment with Brooke Lewis I was so glad I did this . Not only was her exam more thorough than I had gotten previously on an annual , she said she was a few minutes late coming in to the room as she WAS REVIEWING MY RECORDS !! Many times in other Drs offices I wondered why I bothered sending . I know her minor finding and on the spot treatment may have been overlooked elsewhere and could potentially be lifesaving . .. Terrible experience. If you're looking for a dermatologist to barely look at your skin, have no idea what it could be, and prescribe random treatments and send you out the door with zero answers and just a hefty bill, then this is the best place for you. I have redness, dryness and flakiness, and weird pimples/rashes all over my face. I asked multiple times what a possible diagnosis could be, what lifestyle changes I could make, and she had no answers. Is it Acne? "No". Is it Rosacea? "No". Is it fungal acne? "No". She rejected all of those and Just prescribed a pharmaceutical grade moisturizer for the dryness and sent me on my merry way. It wasn't until afterwards seeing a different specialist I was diagnosed with Demodex mites and fungal acne. I started using topicals to kill the infections and my skin is clear and actually moisturizing itself again. Don't go here. read more

The doctors may be awesome here, I wouldn't know. But I called to make an appt and make sure they covered my insurance. While making appt I asked about a procedure and if it would likely be covered by my insurance and the receptionist said it would be - so long as I had a referral from my GP and the referral mentioned pain (insurance wont cover cosmetic procedures). Did that. Had my referral faxed including that it was indeed painful. Drove 40 min in rush hour there, had to be late to work and got there and the gal had no idea why I was scheduled because the doc I was scheduled with doesn't deal with my issue. Then I was informed that my insurance doesn't cover it anyway. And I'd have to pay 500$ for the procedure after I come back another day for another appt (AKA more time off work). The gal just said sorry, we have several receptionists here. Like really? So it's okay for a business to waste your time, money, time off work but yet will charge you an arm and a leg for their small amount of time. Front desk staff should be extremely knowledgeable about the doctors, policies, insurances as they are the point of contact for all patients. Perhaps it was a very rare mistake, I hope so. But I know I won't be back or risk driving all the way there based on the staff's lack of training. read more

First visit to this practice for a 6-month check up after hx melanoma - team was thorough and kind with the screening and introduced a non-surgical way to test cells for melanoma that may even reduce my scars in the future. My wife and I have both had a poor experience. The first time my wife went to the clinic they wrote her a compounded prescription that was nearly $185 and not covered by insurance, which was not communicated. It also comes with side effects like your entire fingernail will fall off, also not communicated. So she had to make a second appointment, she travels for work which made this a true inconvenience. At the visit to have the skin condition "frozen" off I went along. The assistant said they were running behind and when Brooke came in that was clear. She rushed through the appointment and on two skin sites, she missed the target causing over burn. My wife and I both work in the medical field, we understand sometimes you run behind. However, we do not support rushing treatment. Brooke diagnosed the same condition on my finger and so I made an appointment for two days later. Thinking that it would be a better experience then. Both of my parents had skin cancers that spread to major organs. My father died (young) from cancer and my mother nearly died, she had a major organ (her bladder) removed to save her life. Needless to say, I don't take cancer screens lightly. I had several questionable areas, she barely looked at them. She seemed bothered I had questions and concerns given my family history. She blew me off. And she also rushed through my treatments. To make matters worse: she coded the prescription for me incorrectly and that caused a hassle. One star because Yelp requires at least one star to leave a review, Two stars because the assistant, Courtney, is a real gem. She is kind, did not rush her answers even when she said they are running behind, and very sweet and helpful when she calls to help us resolve the issues. read more

I was seen by Dr Cathy P in Winter Park. This was my second visit with her. She was very professional and very knowledgeable. I had a slight procedure done right in the office. My elderly mother was treated by Dr. Mott with 15 rounds of radiation for squamous cell cardinoma. Long story short, the treatment resulted in a big, gaping, infected wound that wouldn't heal. They should have referred her to a wound care clinic that specializes in these times of things. But no. They let this go on for WEEKS. My poor 87 year old mother has now had one surgery to remove the DEAD tissue and is now facing a skin graft surgery. She's having to have her wound cleaned and scraped of dead skin cells every other day. Extremely painful. So angry that he let this go on for so long. BOOOOO Dr. Mott. read more

I was referred by a close friend to Cathy Pacocha. I went for cosmetic evaluation. She was excellent; personable, honest, taking the time to explain various options. I decided to do my first botox at age 50! Prior to the visit was not so easy. Getting past the gatekeepers was difficult. I was told very curtly that I would have to get a 2nd appt to have anything done. I almost canceled. Finally I got Jessica, who was helpful and worked with me, since I was driving 1.5hrs each way to get there. I understand policies are necessary, but front line staff need to be knowledgeable and courteous enough to assist clients. read more

If there was a zero star, I would have used that! I had a horrible experience this week at the place, the PA was abrupt and I don't feel like I had a thorough skin check, I left a bad review when they requested one, and told them I would not use them again. Today in the mail I get a certified letter telling me they are terminating our relationship. What a joke. Time for this place to grow up! I do NOT recommend. Arrogant, rude, and incompetent: After receiving a skin biopsy finding of Basal Cell Carcinoma, I attempted to schedule surgery over an 8 week period. I was never able to reach a person at his office, but left 4 telephone messages over this two month period on Dr. Mott's answering machine (in fact multiple messages at two different office numbers). No one bothered to return any of my telephone calls. Yes, I know that the Corona Virus has disrupted everyone's life, but someone could have at least returned one of my telephone calls. Based on my experience, I concluded that Dr. Mott and his team are rude, arrogant, and/or incompetent. I will need to find another dermatologist to remove my pre-cancerous moles and suggest that others do the same. read more

Dr. Mott and his team were very responsive. I was on a short visit to Boulder and I wasn't sure what level of work I needed done. His staff got me an appointment fast and Dr. Mott was very clear in his explanation of my choices to remove wrinkle from below my eyes and on my cheeks. We opted for the CO2 Laser. He was able to do it three days later and then see me a week after the procedure. The procedure went smoothly and the results were very satisfying - better than I could have expected. I will confidently return to Dr. Mott and his team for any future work and I highly recommend him to those making important decisions about their appearance. read more

I have no doubt that the medical professionals are outstanding. I was a long-time, happy patient of Brooke Lewis at a previous practice. However, it has been incredibly difficult to deal with the Ideal office staff, in trying to schedule a basic appointment (email inquiry and calls unreturned). When I finally connected to schedule an appointment (and I didn't have my insurance ID info. on hand), I was told to call back with the info./couldn't be scheduled without it (is this not why patients show up to appointments 15 minutes early?) I hate to lose Brooke, but I'm looking for a dermatology office that is more responsive and less obtuse. read more

Four weeks ago I had Mohs surgery on my nose for Basal Cell Carcinoma. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. After removing the bandage a week ago, people commented that it looks beautiful and they couldn't tell I had surgery. During the surgery, Dr. Mott kept me informed about what he was doing which reduced my anxiety. After the surgery, I had pain for one day which Tylenol took care of. I could not be more pleased with the results of my recent Mohs surgery to remove a small Basal Cell from my nose. Dr. Mott and his assistant, Sam, took the time to explain the procedure, which was relatively painless and resulted in minimal swelling.
