I've studied many styles at many schools, and under many very high ranking teachers. All of this is just to establish that I recognize quality teaching and an excellent school when I find it. This school is a very rare find, indeed. Sifu Keller is the "real deal" in terms of his knowledge, both outer and internal, and he is very willing to impart all of it. Also, Sifu Keller, though quite knowledgable and accomplished, is remarkably humble and down to earth, and he genuinely cares. I can't tell you how refreshing and rare this is! He, and the other instructors, are knowledgable, personable, friendly, and always eager to help students. The school has a family feel to it, and everyone is welcome. You can really relax here, and learn things that will change your life for the better! If you have found this school, you have stumbled on a real gem in the instructor, staff, curriculum, and atmosphere. I encourage you to avail yourself of this amazing opportunity!

Taekwondo, Karate, and Kung Fu,,, I was his student when he was white dragon,,,, however, when my son was his student he'd transitioned to Great Way. He made the change for whatever reason. Regardless, I was a student 28 years ago, and one thing I think about to this day, is he instills to his students, is no matter what one goes thru, there is still ones worth. There's still a gratitude, loyalty, and praise in what the person don't see in themselves (if they feel that low),,, and gives them the tools, and power to pull themselves out, (no matter how long ago they studied). I will FOREVER be thankful to him and his school. Greatest Sifu one could meet, or be instructed by.

Boulder Community Tai Chi Chuan is the perfect place to begin or continue your study of the…read morebeautiful art of Tai Chi. Derived from centuries-old Chinese martial arts, the modern form of Tai Chi as taught here has been distilled to a neatly choreographed routine of 37 postures linked by elegant, fluid movements which are gentle enough to allow practice by all; my class ranged in ages from 20's to 80's. Benefits include improved balance, strength, flexibility, and a sense of calm. Owner and instructor Jon Lears has developed a nuanced teaching style that is efficient, rigorous and disciplined while maintaining a light touch of friendliness, humor, and humility. His love for the art is infectious and his mastery obvious. The classes proceed methodically, with sufficient review and repetition, and no one is left behind; questions are patiently answered with precise demonstration. I originally tried to learn Tai Chi from random YouTube videos; only after study with Mr. Lears (who is often superbly assisted by his wife Amy) did I understand how out of context most videos are presented and how ultimately unhelpful they were. There is no substitute for learning in person. Boulder Community Tai Chi Chuan has very reasonably-priced classes for all levels in a large, clean, bright space in a part of Boulder with easy access and parking. My highest recommendation.

I found that the other schools were very focused on profit (aka... buy our unique clothes/shoes which are very high compared to what you find online and lots of pressure to sign a one year contract), didn't have a safe/decent training facility, or weren't really Kung Fu schools. The Sifu at this school charges month-to-month and charges significantly less than other programs. Don't believe me? Check the numbers here and other places. He is also interested in teaching the art and philosophies of Kung Fu. Not teaching you how to beat people up. I actually had a school tell me I would be able to pummel people in a couple months. This isn't what Kung Fu is about. I studied here for a year before being relocated to another state and I have to say it is one of the things I miss most about Colorado.

Admittedly I also have always been a fan of those cheesy old kung fu movies. In the end, I did not know this would be a life-changing experience. I have moved through many physical challenges, joint issues, and etc through my 8 years of kung fu, qigong and tai chi training. I highly recommend Sifu Wang as a teacher. He is compassionate, knows how to meet his students where they are at, and is a great guide and motivator, seeming to know exactly where your limitations are and how to help you understand your own body, when to push and when to rest. As a side benefit, I am comfortable in a bikini. I am grateful to have an unexpected extended family of brothers and sisters who come from different backgrounds, cultures and experiences and yet we all are in this life and practice together. I am a calmer, more balanced and centered person and I attribute much of this to my martial arts practice at Boulder Kung Fu.

I love this place and can't imagine going anywhere else, and TRUST me, I have been to other styles (USSD for instance) and hated them. They were always so greedy and over commercialized and what I wanted was something true to its roots and traditional. White Dragon Kung Fu? Oh that is where it is at, yo. Fo sho, hommie. Home skillet...Dawg... Okay, I will stop doing that. BUT! This place is made of quality and built on honest, caring people. They have classes for children about 4 years old (yes, parents, it is the perfect place to ditch your children...though not permanently, of course. You kinda have to come get them after their class is over. You know, something about being responsible...or something) and over, young adults, and adults (yes, I am being redundant, but try to over look that and pretend like I am telling you something you didn't already understand from me saying "4 years old and up"). The classes are broken up into age, ability level, and they offer group lessons as well as private lessons. The people are friendly and the sifus (Sifu Keller, Quigley, and Lauchli) are amazing people as well as martial artists. Trust me, their knowledge is astounding and their energy and excitement is infectious. As for the first person who commented, yeah, they do flyer cars, but that is (unfortunately) because they don't have a ton of money to spend on TV or radio advertisements. So I am sorry my school annoyed you, but trust me, they don't get a kick out of annoying people with their flyers. If they had a better way of getting their name out they would.

But I found so much more - confidence, balance and a second family! I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of this school and this family!
