ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use this company for your countertops. Everything was wonderful until this morning. We had a scheduled appointment for the repairing of the installers poor workmanship of sealing the counters and sink. My wife tested positive for Covid this morning which was about a half hour before the scheduled time. Rocky Mountain showed up for the appointment and my wife told the workers the news that she literally just tested positive for Covid and they left the residence. I called Rocky Mountain Granite to explain the situation and asked to be rescheduled and I couldn't believe it but instead of saying sorry to hear about your wife being sick or I hope everyone feels better and let's reschedule the appointment. The representative says will have to charge you a 100.00 dollars to come out again. I Was like "Are you (Bleeping) serious, what a (bleeping) joke I just spend 13,000 dollars on your countertops and all my wife wanted to do was protect your workers from getting Covid and you want to charge me additional 100.00 dollars." She said "you could of called and that's why we have to charge you additional 100.00 dollars" I'm like "She literally just tested positive" Yeah, this is why I got upset with your representative! I never cursed at your employee just over the circumstances and the situation. I understand your policy but this situation that happened is totally different. I am completely disgusted with this company and the way your representative handled this situation. It should of been handled more like this. "we're truly sorry about your wife we might not be able to come out for a little bit but the next time we're in the area will stop by to fix the issues. We hope your wife feels better and will let you know when we can come out again." It's just that easy, Now you have a customer that will never recommend you to anyone or to any friends. Now for the install issues of my counters. They left all the manufacturing stickers on the underside of the counters so you can only peel them off until the cabinet edge. When it came to sealing the counters they didn't totally seal them especially around the sink which has a 4 inch gap where water can get right over the farm sink and into the inside of the cabinet. Then instead of keeping the silicone on the top of the cabinet, they got silicone all over the upper side of the cabinets. Just a very poor job with the install. I would 100% look for a different countertop company when it comes to doing your counters. If your using a kitchen design company check with them and make sure it's not Rocky Mountain. I just don't want to you to go through the same experience as me and hopefully get a better job with a different company. All the best! read more

Our family has done multiple kitchen renovations over the years and we've never had so much trouble with a granite company as we did with Rocky Mountain. The installation crew was unhinged, we thought at one moment a physical altercation was about to erupt in their group. Additionally, we didn't appreciate the unprofessional, excessive use of profanity in our home. To make matters worse, the installation quality was poor with large gaps that needed caulking. The crew also didn't seal the granite as is expected and standard for the industry. When we raised these issues to the company, they were dismissive and condescending. Overall, the quality of customer service was extremely disappointing, would not recommend. read more

We have contracted this company three times in the past eleven years to install our countertops. Each time they were a delight to work with! If something isn't to your satisfaction you can rest assured they stand behind their products and craftsmanship of fabrication and installation. We are currently working with them on our fourth project. We are in the midst of new construction and chose this company to select our island and perimeter countertops. In working with Lynnsey and the owner Joe has been an exceptional experience. I must admit this project has had me stymied because I kept changing my mind on the selections. Finally, with Lynnsey's unwaivering patience and cooperation has brought us to resolution. Thank goodness! We are super excited to see time getting closer to the layout of the island Calcatta M marble slab from Italy and the forthcoming installation. Today, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 we had our perimeter Caesarstone quartz countertops installed, and the main bath granite countertop installed today as well. The crew was top notch, polite, professional and craftsman for sure. We even had a visit from one of the owners to see how everything was going. The results are excellent and the finished countertop fabrication and installation couldn't have been improved. A job well done! The next and final segment of this experience will be with the island marble countertop being fabricated and installed within the next few days, as we are waiting for the cabinetry to be installed. Well the project is completed! Flawless install, and sealing of the marble slab! The crew that did this install was lead by a fine young man named John. The other two team members were Josh and Brandon. I had to do a shout out because of the level of attention to detail and customer service by these three young men. I decided against working with this company when I called this morning and explained that we're looking for new countertops for the kitchen we just rebuilt. The young woman who answered the phone was courteous, therefore 2 stars instead of one. But she was perfunctory and simply spit out the company line when I explained that I need someone qualified (not me) to measure for these countertops. She told me "That's not how we work here. You email us the drawings and measurements, you come and pick out the stone, we send a guy to make the template. At this point you pay 50%, and the remainder upon fabrication and installation." I really didn't have an opportunity to explain anything, except that I need an experienced person to measure. This kitchen is big, it's the last kitchen I will ever build, and we've waited two years with temporary countertops to get this done due to COVID. After the canned speech, I told the woman that really I need to start with a measuring guy and would look elsewhere for a company that could accommodate this. She was good with that... no attempt to deal with what's needed. She could have suggested an alternative, and had me bring good measurements from someone she refers me to. But she didn't. The entire call took 50 seconds, according to my phone log. This is a crazy way to do business. By my estimation, these countertops will likely cost around $15,000... and that's just a guess. I certainly would never do business with a company that doesn't at least try to point me in the right direction to address the first part of the work. So I'll check out other reviews and find a company interested in the business. read more

I paid nearly $9,000 for a countertop that is cracked! They owner says he wont replace it - my brand new kitchen countertop looks like someone hit it with a hammer. I am disgusted with this place and the way they do business. The owner told me it was "just a fissure" before he ever even saw the crack!!! HORRIBLE! read more

The selection is very large and there are options to buy remnants. There are some very beautiful pieces and much variety. I was greeted right away by a friendly rep and directed to browse on my own to pick out a slab. It was a very chilly, drizzly winter day and the selections were outside on a very muddy lot. Not pleasant shopping. But I was determined to find a unique piece to fit a custom vanity. After about 2 hours (my daughter waiting for me in the car) I found the perfect remnant. I requested a quote which arrived in my email promptly. Here's the problem: no direction on the quote as to how payment needs to be made and no due date. Days passed and I didn't hear from anyone (I thought maybe a bill?). I called to inquire (Tuesday) and the rep said to pay 1/2. There was no urgency in her voice nor indication that I should be concerned, so I planned to send a check. 4 days passed after that and since I hadn't gotten my check in the mail yet, I called to see if I could pay over the phone. The rep told me they had sold my piece to someone else. It was disappointing and upsetting because the time commitment of finding a slab on the lot by myself was huge and the process was laborious. Some clear communication in writing about policy (items are restocked after 7 days) and clear expectations about when and how much deposit was due would have been appreciated. I received a quote in an email, not an invoice. Ultimately, I am responsible for my delay in payment, but had I known that my piece would be sold without notification, my response would certainly have been more timely. read more

Unfortunately, our experience was not as enjoyable as those stated on this site. As business owners ourselves, We followed the process, paid in full on time and felt that the customer service was highly lacking and that the owner took our business for granted 1. We paid in full per the contract. They required 1/2 payment upfront on 8/18/19 before starting the project. 2. Rocky Mountain breached contract which stated: 9/27 Template- will call with a 2 hr time frame of arrival 9/30 Layout- 2:00 appt to view slabs and go over details- and provide final payment. 10/9: Install- will call day before with 2 hr window of their arrival. The process started out very well. William - professional young man, set the template and agreed to cut as we requested. Steve, the owner came wanted to see the site, before he started. We made arrangements so that we were there 2ce for his viewing of the kitchen and the sink that would be installed. He came out and was very supportive. After 9/30 Layout date, we were called and told that the 2 slabs selected by us and provided by Stone Mart were defective. And they would not be able to accommodate our request for layout design. Stone Mart is a stone provider with whom Rocky Mountain does business. They tried to indicate it was our problem, and I reminded them that we had paid in full and that the issues would be between Rocky Mtn and their stone provider. They continued to do our job but with no attention to the contractual dates. We kept getting different people working on our project. They arrived late, they broke product which delayed the project and "twice" they literally showed up without the product to do the job. Each of these errors interrupted our business and delayed our project each time by 5-7 days before they got back to our house to work on our project. After they were delayed for a week based on breaking the product and then they arrived without the product, I called to speak with the owner. I tried to reach him twice, he wasn't avail to speak on the phone either time, so I spoke with the Office Manager. She was very Professional and understood, apologized and agreed to get their best team out to our house to complete the job in one last visit, make us the first on their schedule So that we had no more interruption to our business schedule and provide us with a cutting board out of scrap from our project. We accepted gratefully. Unfortunately we had yet another crew, the men came late and without product for the second time and didn't take the scrap to make the cutting board. I called the Office Manager, she was shocked on all counts. I indicated that based on the many interruptions where we had to wait for them, then they called and rescheduled Requiring that we went to work and then came back to accommodate their last minute change to the schedule- we were worthy of a conversation with the Owner and a 20% discount. The Owner called and left me a voice mail didn't feel that we required a discount because he made 2 trips to our house to scope the project. He acknowledged that the Team forgot the product once and indicated that it was an honest mistake because it was a different crew. (Each time there was a different crew- no consistency to the project at all). He also noted that he didn't charge us for the fact that we selected our stone from Stone Mart.( Stone Mart is the largest granite, quartz supplier in the area and is an understood supplier for the installers in the city.) The owner indicated that he considered it "a wash" and there fore required no remuneration, and offered not even an apology. Mind you we selected Rocky Mountain based on 2 recommendations and in spite of his higher quote because he was noted as providing good service. As business owners, our standard for customer service is much higher. I feel it important to post this so that the consumers know that it might not be as smooth as others have noted. They took full advantage of the fact that we were paid in full and had no financial leverage. Finally the project was finished 21 days after the contract stated, we were very grateful to get all of out kitchen out of the Living room and get settled. Thankfully it is done and looks beautiful. If we as business owners, didn't lead with customer service it might not have been so insulting but we do and based on our strong difference in consideration to customer service, I would not recommend this organization. I would guide you to look for another company that would appreciate and respect your business more. An upgrade in counter tops is an expensive and intrusive undertaking which doesn't have to be so very messy, prolonged and aggravating. read more
