Spread the word: DO NOT use this limo "service." Some 14 very disappointed high school seniors and countless angry parents were left HIGH and DRY without a limo on prom night thanks to the complete and utter incompetence of this company. The co-owner, Jerome, tried to blame us when the driver was a no-show, saying we didn't provide them with a physical address. I stamp BS all over this! They had my $414 deposit which had already cleared, they had my phone number, and they had the name of the country club they were to pick up passengers. AND, we were told at the time of booking (some two to three weeks in advance of the event) that they didn't need a physical address; they could look it up using the country club name. Duh. You're a freaking limo business. Needless to say, a limo never showed up. Even though we called countless times and were promised every time that it was "on its way." The parents had to take four carloads of kids downtown, then pick them up after prom, then take them to the after party. NOT HAPPY. Do not trust this company. I reserved a limo for my brother's wedding a month in advance. They were supposed to arrive at 10:45 since my brother and his bride were leaving at 11:15. I called them at 10:30 and they said they were 5 minutes away. Turns out they were in a completely different city and an hour later they were no where to be found. My brother had to drive his own car with his bride in it. Incredibly disrespectful. They lied about were they where and the driver was slurring his words and was not being helpful at all and would not answer his phone for 20 minutes. Stay away from Rock City Limos. read more

Let's just say my experience with this (and a secondary limo company) will make me think twice about ever renting a limo ever again. I hired this company for my girlfriend's bachelorette party in Austin. The limo was roughly 30 minutes late picking us up from our house that evening. The driver then spent another good half-hour showing us how to use all the controls inside the limo (i.e. radio, lights, etc.). Which is cool, but I would've rather been downtown instead. By the time we finally got downtown it was 10:30 (mind you, we were supposed to be picked up at 9 and we live 20 minutes from downtown). Once we made it to downtown we had a fantastic evening and all our plans went off without a hitch. 2 am. Meeting time with the limo driver at the same place he dropped us off. He's not there. I was in contact with him 6 minutes prior to 2 am and now he's not here. Ok, so we try to make ourselves more visible from the road and wait. 30 minutes later we start calling him. No answer, straight to voicemail. We start calling Rockstar. He has no idea. And as it turns out this particular limo is from a company from San Antonio. Funny because I recall hiring Rockstar, not someone else. Fast-forward an hour and half to 3:30 in the morning. Here we are, 6 girls stranded on 7th street, all our jackets/purses/etc still in the limo and we finally hear back from the driver. His first claim was his phone wasn't working. Well, yes, that happens sometimes but why not meet us at the pre-arranged pick up spot? Then he says later that he fell asleep. Wow. Needless to say, I was not thrilled to be shelling out close to $600 for this experience. The company that sent us the driver and the limo eventually agreed to return over half our money but Rockstar was far more reluctant. The $90 "included tip" (for the driver I originally assumed) turned out to be a "personal commission" to the Rockstar agent I had been conversing with. That story changed later it into a non-refundable deposit that I was not told about. Rockstar spent a lot of time asking me to "remember that Rockstar isn't the one who screwed up here so please don't punish our business for their mistake." But when you contract another company to help you out, you are putting your stamp of approval on them. When I worked at a print shop and we outsourced products we couldn't produce in house and they came back wrong; did we still get our cut? Absolutely not! The customer was given a full refund and the opportunity to try again. We didn't keep our own personal commission for that job because we all screwed it up. We first used this company for a wedding in New Braunfels--they were 40 minutes late picking up the wedding party!! We tried calling them several times and it went to voicemail. We let it go... Tried to use them again for a school dance, we received quotes on line and gave them a call. They gave me a different price than what was quoted online and then told me they may not be available , because it is prom weekend and that they would give me a call back. We waited 2 days and no call back. I called again and was told I would be called back---once again, Nothing. I just called for the last time and was told they can't do it!! We used Rockstar Limos 4/10/13 the driver was 45mins late. The lights in the bus did not work, the TV screens didn't work. There was suppose to be a karaoke machine but there wasn't. The driver gave us a flashlight for the 6 hours. Our party fixed the lights and screens before we left. He was asking for tips right away continuously all night. Then we were dropped off half on hour early. All together we lost an entire hour. We also contacted Jerome and he said there was nothing he could do that it was up to the driver.
