Parking is impossible here because of the limited parking spots by each store. Got to wait for another car to leave and see if any car is fighting for the same spot and then you go berserk! It was a dingy third-world bazaar when I lived here 35 years ago and the passing decades have only hardened the crust and deepened the twilight. The past-season designer inventory is pure Marshalls as are the mismatched bar stools and the elephant tusk wine racks. Bargains can be had but there are far better examples and execution of their concept nearby. A serious update is in order.

I MADE OUT LIKE A BANDIT!!!!…read more Giving two kids - 9 and 11 y ears old - a $20 budget for Christmas/Hanuka shopping made me tense given that we were headed to Walmart... However little 9 year old princess convinced her brother and myself that this store was the place... We relented to her. Alas I havent been in that area much, but I do know that Spring Valley had an itsy bitsy AS. Not anymore people! Apparently they are in place of the huge PathMark that used to be there. Although the "local"s are nosy and pushy (sorry, i speak the truth) the kids heaped up gifts that were really smart and fun. My little princess had to have her "maybe" pile and the little guy was pensive adding numbers and choosing wisely. It did take a while, but I'll tell ya - what a huge selection. We walked out with so much stuff, from make your own jewelry box, hello kitty teddy that opened to a blanket, basketball, school lunch bag with a cool key chain, pens, lip gloss that I am highly considering next years budget to be $10.... Great bang for your buck.

I was running late for an event that I was co-hosting and really needed a new GPS to get me back on my way. All Targets are designed pretty similarly, so I booked it to the back and waited by the tech desk. One of the guys was helping someone and the other wasn't sure if he needed to help a person also standing nearby the desk. I waited to see what they were doing with their customers to pick who I'd try and squeeze myself in. I then noticed one of the guys finish helping a customer and walk up to someone who was browsing a nearby aisle, and not me, who was standing still by the desk. So, I'm thinking that I have to go stand by the GPS' in order for them to unlock them rather than stand by the desk. Just as I do that, the other tech guy finishes with his customer and helps someone who came up to the desk after me. Confused on what to do, I go back to the desk. I hate being the 'pushy' person but given my circumstance with being late to a party, I had to be. In the end I was helped about five minutes late, but a courteous 'hello! we see you and will be right with you' would have helped instead of me going back and forth.

It's always fun to visit here as you'll find all kinds of things for around your home. Prices can be fantastic or average so keep your eyes out. They have a rewards/membership program though I don't know if I've ever gotten any sort of discount. I'm particularly pleased that they've expanded their hours a bit more. During the pandemic, they started closing every day at PM. That didn't leave much time for shopping after dinner. They finally extended hours back to closing at 8PM. That's a little better. You'll find clothing very cheap and it is what it is. The quality isn't always bad. Thermals and flannels are hardy and last a while. T-shirts, maybe not so much. But for the prices, I think you'll be pleased. Seasonal items for the garden, the pool, around the yard, holiday decorations, you'll find all of that in here. Pure maple syrup is another hot item here. Watch for the sales when it's really cheap. They also have pet supplies and plenty of other home goods. It's overall a fun store!
