When I called Hero, I got an immediate response from their dispatcher. Since it was late in the day, I figured I would set something up for the following day, but the lady at Hero told me they could have a truck there in half an hour, so I said go ahead. The driver did arrive well within half an hour, and quickly got my van loaded on the tilting flatbed truck. He towed it about six miles to the repair shop I had picked out, and quickly got it unloaded. The charge the lady had quoted over the phone was $80, and the driver took my debit card and rang it up for that amount - no extra taxes or fees. I gave him a tip as well, and have to say he did a very fine job. I very rarely have a car towed, so I don't know much about what other services would have charged, but I was very satisfied.
