I just love that they are truly bean to bar (you can literally watch them sit and sort the beans, grind them, make the chocolate and all other steps of the process). The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient -- and while prices are a tad higher than your basic chocolates, they are reasonable for the high quality of premium treats you are going to get Just an additional thing I did not mention in my previous review: Their packaging is also great. Not only do they print off the individual names of chocolates you got if you make a box, there is a QR code which when you scan, takes you to the visual and descriptive online guide of all their flavors. Highly, highly recommend, and cannot see any reason why I would not make efforts to continue returning!

We also purchased 8 different chocolates. Great presentation but some were hit or miss on my pallet. Others may like them however. Other customers mentioned they all pretty much incorporate dark chocolate. I would like to see a milk chocolate in the future. We will definitely come back for another round and try the other choices.

You get to pick your wines and your macarons, which made it super customizable. The wines were decent (the cab blanc was a little too sweet for me, but I liked the cab sauv and the merlot) and the macarons were delicious! I got the (right to left) lemon lavender, pistachio, and cotton candy (once again, this one was a little too sweet for me but a fun blast from the past)! Everything came out pretty quickly and the workers there were very kind and patient as we sat and chatted for ~2 hrs. The only negative was that the shop is a part of a strip of other restaurants and stores with one small parking lot, so we did not find a parking spot on site. We ended up driving one block over to find free street parking on the weekend, but it was a short walk so it wasn't too bad.

I'm giving 4 stars because a couple of the flavors tasted a little stale, but I also sort of expected it because there were so few left of the flavor that I assumed they were from the day before. I took my macarons to go, so I didn't really check out the vibe of the place, but the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. It was cool to watch them making and assembly macarons, which as a baker I know is quite hard. I'll definitely be back and I think it's worth checking out!

Way over due…read more I never realized how lucky we are in Raleigh to have so many good Arabic bakeries until I tried looking for them in bigger cities (Atlanta, Philly, D.C.) that are apparently completely bereft of good Arabic groceries. Jerusalem Bakery & Grocery has most of what you need for cooking Arabic food I will say flat out its the best pita bread on the east coast. When i visited other cities family there would ask me to bring pita bread when I came. The meat, cheese and spinach pies are fantastic. The cheese pies are my personal favorites. The family that owns this place is really nice, and will be even more pleased and solicitous if you show a genuine appreciation for their food. Oh, and they have a dessert that I can never remember the name of, but which is also wonderful and difficult to find - it's the one made of filo dough with cheese inside and attar (the sweet sticky sauce) on top. I have yet to see it anywhere else in the U.S, and they do a good job of it. Like many bakeries, they bake early in the morning and sell until its gone. So best selection and quantity is going to be in the mornings. For the visit on Jan 7, 2025, I got 3 meat pies, 12 cheese pies, 4 pita bread bags, and 1 sesame date cookie package which is also a favorite of mine. Total $51.14. An important pro tip is that the pies and pita bread all freeze great. so go ahead and eat 1 pie while its warm, because it likely will be, and then quickly freeze the rest. Then, warm it up in a toaster oven.

The business is situated inside of a small shopping center and there probably always a parking space due to the location When I called the lady answered the phone and she was really nice! She told me that they normally take orders 24 to 48 hours in advance but I called at the perfect time because they were just popping popcorn! I was so happy about that! I ordered 2 bags of their bulk popcorn! The bags individually feed about 40 people! And they are huge! I ended getting 2 because I wasn't for sure if it would be enough and it ended up being plenty I still have an unopened one left! They offer so many flavors. While waiting to pay I was able to try a sample of their caramel siracha popcorn! And it spicy but good! I paid $36 for both bags which was extremely awesome. Overall great store, I would definitely recommend them for huge events! Or if you love popcorn!

Popcorn. It's hard to go wrong with it when it's fresh. It doesn't matter if it's plain or…read moreflavored. It's a nearly guilt-free indulgence even when mixed with sugary flavorings. It's popcorn, after all. What are a few spoonfuls of caramel or chocolate or nuts? Because some of the flavors use air-popped corn, that means there's no guilt. The calories evaporate when it's air-popped. At least that's how I convince myself it's okay. Carolina Popcorn Shoppe helps you feel better about indulging. They use all natural ingredients (except for the vanilla flavoring in the popcorn that uses it) and it's made fresh. Anything more than a couple of days old gets thrown out. Since there are no preservatives, the product won't keep long and the Shop doesn't make a lot of it in advance. If you're willing to wait, though, they'll make you a fresh batch. On average it's about a 15 minute wait while they fire up the popcorn popper and get things going. I haven't been there while they've done that, but the smell of popcorn popping is one of those "yum" aromas that might make the wait a must-do. If you decide to wait while they make your particular flavor popcorn, or put together a tin or a few big bags to take home or give as a gift, the shop has 3 or 4 tables and a refrigerated cooler with soft drinks for purchase. You can buy the popcorn in nearly any size from a couple of ounces to a pound or more. The hours it's open are limited, but you can always go online and order. It's also available at a couple of shops in the Triangle (e.g. Southern Season, NOFO, Gingham and Posh) so you'll never be too far away from a popcorn fix.

Tin Roof Teas' Ceremonial Uji powder was noted to be best for casual drinkers and lattes, it was around $30 for the tin (I don't recall the exact number of grams). Having made a few matcha lattes with their powder now, it is overall pretty good! The lattes are a lovely vibrant green, very umami and more on the vegetal side. Microfoam doesn't really form though (although that could be from my whisking technique, only time will tell), and there is a bit of bitterness (not overwhelming). While their matcha selection isn't extensive, they had so many teas from around the world plus items to make the perfect cup of tea. They also have a tea bar serving up fresh cups for purchase! Lots of parking available, fast service, ambiance full of comforting tea fragrance. 8/10 would recommend!

We were immediately greeted and were helped during our shopping process. Because of the staff being so helpful, I ended up buying quite a few bags, more than I originally expected to when I came in. Because there were so many flavors, I was honestly skipping a lot...so it was nice that were showing me flavor profiles that I would be interested in. I will say, however, that the teas are expensive and they didn't have any discounts or promotions going on, so I spent nearly $60 on tea...in this economy?? Either way, I was very happy with my selection and now I have an abundance of loose tea leaves to enjoy during these cold months!
