Lots of hard to find and obscure sweets to tempt you. Retail markup did seem a bit higher than online discovery of similar items. Of course the online sources do not have to pay the rents as found in this upscale brick and mortar complex. Lots to explore and discover your old time favorites (and new finds to be enjoyed). Recommend going With an open mind and open pocket and just go ahead and buy your favorites, no matter the costs! (Yes I know you can't actually buy Nik-L-Nips for a nickel anymore)!

I have a rocket fizz in the short north in Columbus OH. So I figured to bring my boyfriend here because I enjoy going to the short north one so much since the candies, sodas and stuff can be so unique. I always like to have a comparison to what I have at my home state. Well when we walked in there was no one to greet us or even a friendly hello. But I was like whatever. So we started just walking around and browsing. I really thought their stuff was similar to what I have at home. But I enjoyed the experience walking around and seeing all the different candies and sodas. My boyfriend has never been to a Rocket Fizz it was his first experience coming to one. I asked for him to try it because I thought he would love it. My boyfriend is all about trying unique things you cannot find else where. He had a handful of different candies and sodas by the time we were done shopping. But at the end of the time we were done browsing the girl at the counter was on her personal cell phone answering phone calls while we were trying to check out. So it was kinda obnoxious and annoying to see that. The place was super cool overall. But customer service and friendliness just was lacking from time you walked in to time to check out. It was pretty sad in my opinion.

Ah sugar, sugar! Who doesn't love pop and candy? They certainly have it all here. Mostly their own brand pop but pretty much every kind that would make you want to come back endlessly to try more. An entire wall is dedicated to just cream soda and the Almond Cream I had was smooth. I also had the Bacon Maple Soda and it tasted just how it sounds. As if that's not enough there's quite a number of other bacon goodies. Bacon floss, toothpicks or body wash anyone? Then there's always the bacon toys, beans, band aids and gummies! The rest of the large area is dedicated to candies of all types. Of interest to me were the older candy and the Japanese candy. Customer service was a bit lacking but all in all it's a great place to get your sugar on any time of the day.

As soon as you walk in to the store you are transported to a magical land of candy. You can find one of a kind sweets and candy you haven't seen since your childhood. Aunt Laurie's carries a wide variety of confections including house made chocolates, nostalgic favorites like moon pies, pop rocks and wax bottles, novelty candy like gummy Lunchables, candied nuts, taffy, fudge, truffles, rock candy, chocolate roses, caramels, popcorn, and children's toys and beanies. The candy may be filled with sugar but nothing is sweeter than Aunt Laurie who wants to be everyone's favorite Aunt. She greets you with a silver tray of candy because you are family and no one can walk around her store without eating candy. I wanted to purchase a chocolate dipped pretzel covered in Rolos and she insisted on gifting it to me along with a freshly dipped chocolate covered Oreo. I had to insist on buying something so I purchased a chocolate dipped pretzel covered in Snow Caps. The chocolate dipped treats were amazing. I wish I had gotten more but I had a long day ahead of me in a hot car. Next time I visit I will be sure to bring a cooler. Auntie Laurie also does gift baskets and party favors. If your child is celebrating a birthday be sure to bring them in to visit Aunt Laurie for her special love and attention. The candy is wonderful but just being around Aunt Laurie is enough to put a smile on your face.

I asked for what looked like it was a light caramel chocolate covered pretzel and she said it was caramel however it was peanut butter. That was a bummer! They do have ice cream as well but it looks very processed and full of food coloring. The chocolate tasted decent compared to other chocolate shops. The pretzels were also fresh, I did grab white chocolate covered cashews and those tasted old. We got about maybe 5 chocolates for $8.00

Every time we stop here the people working are friendly and helpful. They always have free samples on some of the candies and occasionally on some of the Preserves that they sell. I'm a big fan of their jellies, jams, preserves, and conserves and more. On this occasion, we picked up an assortment of their candies and a couple of jars. One is a raspberry jalapeño jelly and the other one is a blueberry conserve. These are both new ones for us to try and they both sound delicious. I like shopping here because you get to support a local business and everything is tasty. The places well lit and always clean. I love going to the casino. I always feel like I'm far away on vacation... not just the road. But in all my visits to this Hard Rock, I'd never stopped at Sugar Factory until now. I'm so glad this was my first impression. This place gives off the cheeriest holiday glow. From the moment I was greeted by staffers in Christmas costumes, I knew this was going to be great. I was seated on the "patio," since there was a very festive private holiday party in the main dining space. I liked my spot! It was peaceful-with a great view of the revealers. After studying the fun and photogenic holiday menu, I went with the Christmas sliders (cheeseburgers with crispy onions) and the Jack Daniels punch. Wow!!!! Both of these... so, so good! The sliders were cooked to perfection-and the vibrant-hued buns had a nice "crunch" to them. I actually said out loud:"man, these are good." The cute snowman mug full of the equally delightful punch (it was apple based, with all the warm spices. Fantastic!) winked back at me. Taylor suggested the punch and I'm so glad. I'm still smiling over how fun and helpful she was. I can't say enough about this visit. I can't wait to go back. This could become a regular Friday thing for me. I'm also starting the countdown clock till the next holiday season! Oh! And it's an easy walk form the free parking in the Lucky Street garage. I'm all in on Sugar Factory!
