I always drive by this place and wondered what's it like. Upon entering the music was blasting and it was bad bunny, which was like a major sidetrack lol. I felt like I was walking into a nightclub... Upon entering the two workers greeted use which was great, but I was a little lost in the store, the front of the store has all of the boxed chocolates and towards the back is where you'll find the single chocolates you can choose from. I grabbed a few things, the person helping me was friendly but didn't really know what was the chocolates they were selling. I asked for what looked like it was a light caramel chocolate covered pretzel and she said it was caramel however it was peanut butter. That was a bummer! They do have ice cream as well but it looks very processed and full of food coloring. The chocolate tasted decent compared to other chocolate shops. I really wanted to like this place as it is a cute shop inside. Unfortunately the food items are so old that nothing was good. Ice cream is completely freezer-burned and the sprinkles were like rocks. Chocolate has almost no flavor and is discolored. Cashews in the chocolate covered nut items taste like they went bad. The best freshly made ice cream I have had in a very long time! Their chocolate peanut brittle ice cream is amazing! Service was great, the lady there was so helpful in making sure I had a nice slice of fudge and also offered a few samples of their jelly candy. I have a few pics of the goodies I got, peanut brittle, taffy, the jelly candy, goat milk fudge. Wasn't too fond of the taste but it was fresh. The only thing that tasted a bit off was the taffy, maybe it was sitting in the shelf a bit longer then it should? This shop has been around since 1932! How many things can you say that about? The very helpful staff was good enough to advise me the fudge, jellies, and ice cream are made in house with the exception of the salt water taffy. I highly recommend the citrus-flavored candy jellies. Especially if you're looking for a lovely sweet treat to gift. Delicious! The chocolate-covered Oreos - get several. The fudge pops - pick up the whole dang display. Shops like this are keepers, but you will not keep these treats around for long. Yes this is certainly a shop for tourists but as a local I was in the mood for a milkshake and Webb's did the job. The store is very clean and there was only one person working but he was very friendly and was wearing a mask the entire time. The cashier is behind plexiglass for additional protection. I think it's nice they take into consideration how someone may feel and provide measures to make everyone feel comfortable. The candy/fudge is a bit higher in price but since it's made right there (you can see the kitchen) that would justify the cost I feel. You can get fudge, chocolate, nuts and candies along with typical Florida tourist items. Should you be in the mood for some ice cream of fudge I suggest you give some business to this great local establishment. read more

I been stopping by once or twice a year for the past 11 years i moved to Florida. I really love this place. Seen it upgrade their products and love love LOVE! Their Pumpkin ice cream! Best i ever had. Mom always asks me to bring fudge or the gummy's. All confections are hand made. You can see the staff making them in the back. A nice candy and souvenir shop. The prices are not discount prices like on a strip in a tourist area. The items are a little nicer. I got a goat fudge to try. It was about $7 for a piece of fudge. This is pricey compared to normal fudge but isn't goat anything pricier? I also got a couple bottles of wine from St Petersburg. It's $26 here but $23 online from other places. For $3 I'm not driving 2 hours. The class 5 hurricane wine is rumored to be delicious. The service is not the greatest but just look around and see if you find anything. read more

As much as I wanted to love everything about an old Florida store and tradition, this place has not kept up with the times. Though it has many touristy souvenirs from fudge to pralines to gator-shaped chocolate, prices are sky high, placing them out of reach of snackers and minimizing purchases for lots of friends as souvenirs. There may have been a window to watch candy making but it was not prominent or active. No one welcomed anyone upon entering and a lone guy behind the ice cream counter seemed to be the only hand on deck. They have lots of kitschy wine holders in gator or moose shapes and they sell the Florida wines made from non-tannen producing fruits and vegetables (like grapefruit, mango, orange, cranberry) in the $20-$25 range (the going rate anywhere). I came in for Ice Cream on a hot day. They had at least 20 options including sugar-free, but all had a melted unappetizing glaze over them. (They also make milkshakes. I chose a 2-dip cup for $5.25. The strawberry was delicious, as was the praline. However they overfill the dish with a soft ice cream that is melting all over your hands and shoes before you leave the counter. I would never buy it again without resolving the problem with a larger or second cup (or they could freeze the ice cream harder). This place needs a makeover, with serious consideration given to marketing, pricing and people skills. The only cars in the parking lot are related to Dunkin, next door. read more

When you drive through this area EVERYTHING is branded with the name Webb. We figured something that has been able to take over so much space, much be decent. Well, assuming that was our mistake, because we went crazy buying chocolates for ourselves, friends, and family only to get home and realize it was truly not good. It's exceptionally overpriced. Prices you'd expect to pay on gourmet chocolates sprinkled with gold, and that would be fine if it lived up to it, but we ended up throwing several of the pieces away. This is about the packaging of the chocolates. Twice I've gotten a pound of sugarless chocolates and on both visits the guy behind the counter has crammed the chocolates into a tiny white box. Just a tossed mess. Some upside down..sideways, whatever. I paid $28 for a box chocolates just crammed into a too small box. The last time I went to buy some as a gift, same thing...different guy this time. So it's obvious the employees have been told to save money by using the smallest box possible. I told them it was a gift and put my purchase is something more respectable looking. Out comes a nice gold box with separate compartments for the chocolates. So it seems you have to ask...not good customer service especially when you buy a pound or more. I guess when I see the words "candy store" I'm taken back to when I was a kid buying penny candy, barely able to look over the counter top. This was not that kind of a store. Decided to stop in as I have driven by many times. Pretty big inside, connected to a Dunkin Donuts although I didn't make it to that side of the store. I went up to the candy counter and asked the salesperson if they had any chocolate covered caramels. He pointed them out, told me the price. I told him I just wanted one so that I could try it. He said "here, no charge". The salespersons name was Dallas and he was fabulous. Very attentive and personable. After my caramel, I decided to try some ice cream. Lots and lots of flavors to pick from. Sadly, I'm a basic person and settled for a dish of chocolate and vanilla. HUGE helpings for the money. Overall, a nice visit. When we first moved here and found this cute little mom and pop shop I was so excited because usually these places have the best food/merchandise but this is NOT one of those places! GREAT candy! We were driving Highway 27, just a long road trip of seeing nothing and stopping at interesting venues -- this was one of them. We saw the sign at the last minute and pealed out into their parking lot for some goat milk chocolate, which was pretty damn creamy and tasty. It might have been too sweet for me because I'm sure I developed a cavity immediately after eating one of those bad boys. It is moderately priced, though some things are expensive since it's one of those off-highway tourist traps. You get what you pay for though, and it'll depend on your tastes to see if it was worth it or not. read more
