Strawberry ice cream with hot fudge & a cherry
Alyssa M.

This store is such a fun place to stop on a road trip and has delicious ice cream! They usually have some great deals on chocolates, and a huge selection. The ice cream is Blue Bell so it's very tasty, and their homemade hot fudge is amazing! The service was fairly quick, even with long lines and crowds at Christmas time. The store is huge and clean, and even though it can get crowded it never feels cramped.

Well, you can either get regular priced items or you can go into the back where they have discounted holiday and seasonal items like Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Christmas candy. I'm trying to get away from eating sugar so I decided to try the sugar-free candy. I got the caramel pecan and surprisingly it was full of flavor so this will definitely be my go to candy.

Wow. Just wow. Came in for one thing and bought a heck of a lot more! Meant to buy an ice cream cone but forgot. Love the free sample upon entry. Sets the whole tone. Stocked up on chocolate covered peanuts and cherries, got a box of chocolate nuts. Loved the selection of Halloween decorated candy. They also had caramel apples. Another thing I would like to get next time! Parking was easy.

Lots and lots of chocolate

Free samples as soon as you walk in the door. What a wonderful place with so many options for chocolate. Very large establishment with a good amount of selections. Prices from low to high. Sugar free options and holiday options Great customer service and checking out was easy

The Russell Stover Chocolate Factory is a absolute great gem of a business. First of all who doesn't like free samples. When you first enter the store they always have free samples of chocolate waiting for you. Next it's a store full of discounted chocolate, I'm a true chocolate lover so I could peruse around the store all day and when I finally take a break they have chocolate candy apples, chocolate strawberries, and of course every kind of different chocolate candy from a variety of brands. Then they also have some great ice cream served by a super friendly staff. If you have a sweet tooth this is undeniably the best place to visit. I hope to see you there soon.

Chocolate - 5 stars!

I went to get some of my favorite caramels. As usual they are amazing! They are in a yellow bag if you'd like to try them! While I was there I decided to try their ice cream. I wasn't expecting much but let me tell you.... Their ice cream is amazing! I had a scoop of chocolate and it was so creamy! They have sundaes and milkshakes too so there is something for everyone.

I swear I had written a review for Russell Stover before! I have been stopping at this store for 30 years! My grandparents lived in the Villages a long time ago and this was a must stop when I was a teenager. They have a outlet section with previous holiday candies slashed in pricing- every kids dream! I was sure to introduce my kids to this place as well and even stopped here with my Boy Scout troop one year when returning from summer camp (not my best idea- herding cats was easier). Every once in a while, since moving to Jax, I will pop in for treats. The store is large and filled to the brim with everything imaginable- they have specialty cases full of hand picked chocolates, caramel apples, fudge and even an Ice Cream case. The shiny wrappers of sweet confection induce childhood excitement even in the grownups! They even have a rewards program! Check the counter on the way in for a free sample (it varies every time) and they have sales on select candy on pallets near the door. This shopping extravaganza was a bit different as we picked over sugar free candies. Even grabbed a tub of sugar-free chocolate chips! Always a delight~ I highly recommend going the 3 miles off I75 for this treat!

Chocolate galore, especially the blooper boxes! Wide selection and great choices made purchasing some a difficult choice.

Be warned, most chocolates at the outlet are over a year out of date and the taste stale. Not worth the savings.

My…read morestepmom talked about how good the ice cream was and the wide variety of flavors, both regular and boozey. So, we wanted to try it out. This small shop was absolutely perfect for the entire family. When you walk in, it's got a retro, "tye-dye" look and feel that brings you back decades. It's really fun and lots of memorabilia to bring people back. I think my personal favorite was the wall rotary phone, and challenging the kids to use it Once inside, we were greeted by the lone employee scooping the ice cream that day. She was fantastic, asking everyone if they wanted a sample of something and making sure we knew how the ice cream could be served, whether in a dish, a cone, or as a shake. We took our time but we all settled on something different. I picked out the "adult" butterscotch crunch shake. I would argue it might have been the best I've had in a long time! The flavor was amazing and, getting it as a shake, it tasted so smooth and creamy! We all enjoyed our ice cream, the ambiance, and the staff it was all around a great experience. I could only imagine the atmosphere and feel on a night with one of their activities such as trivia or karaoke. What a great shop!

Ambience, service and food quality are all top notch, for both indoor and outdoor seating. On our recent dining experience, we were meeting up with a friend from Hawai'i who was in the area for a conference, and reserved outdoor patio seating. I ordered the Island Chicken (so flavorful and my go to), my wife tried the Tuscan Salmon (she finished her meal before me and our friend!), and our friend ordered the Bella Italian sandwich. We all loved what we ordered! Since it's been a while since we've seen our friend, we spent a lot of time catching up, or "talking story" as they say in Hawai'i. It wasn't busy so we didn't feel like we were holding up any party from getting a table. Loved that the manager even came by to check on us. A very nice dining experience! We would surely be back.

The Mediterranean flat bread was a bit different, with artichokes, olives, feta and such. My wife said it was ok but not real good. My baked haddock had too much buttered bread crumbs and the tartar sauce was a few pickle pieces in mayonnaise. The mashed potatoes were good. The cheeseburger was fantastic, so the patron said and she took half home, it was soo large, at least a half pounder. The Philly steak hoagie was very tasty with mushrooms and onions and cheese, he also took half home for the next day. As I stated, the service special, the food, we will try other things to get the stars back to 5.

I ordered the spinach ravioli special and it arrived absolutely drowning in a heavy garlic cream sauce. Honestly, it felt more like a low-end chain restaurant meal than something homemade or authentic. Even the Greek salad was disappointing. The feta had an odd texture and almost no flavor at all. On top of the food issues, sodas were $3.75 and there's an extra charge for paying by credit card. Overall, we left wondering why this place is so highly recommended.
