I have had very bad experiences to the point of being scared of assault with interactions from an employee named NAVVDEEP. He never greets you when you walk in, he has absolutely no idea how to use the register and is extremely rude. The last time I was in there, he took my phone from my hands across the counter and screamed at me. His other employee had to come from the back after hearing the commotion and was shocked to see his behavior toward me. He made him go into the back room to diffuse the hostile employee. Then today I tried to get two energy drinks that are clearly listed two for five dollars in the cooler. When they rang up, it was eight dollars and some change. I explained to him this was incorrect. I told him what the ad behind the cooler door said. He shrugged his shoulders. I said please come over and look at the ad to confirm what I'm telling you. In frustration, he walked over and was in disbelief. After standing there for about 30 seconds and complete silence, he looked at me again and shrugged your shoulders. We walked together to the register where I thought he would do something to honor their price. He said, do you want it or not. I said I want it for the price listed. You cannot illegally advertise for something falsely, especially when it concerns money. I offered to wait while he called a manager or a friend to see what he could do with the Computer. He refused telling me that there is no manager. I left without my drinks, but not without this review.

BUT today, I went through the drive-thru to pick up a prescription (they closed early yesterday due to the protests going on as a safety and county curfew). There were two cars in front of me but it didn't take too long. The pharmacy lady was super nice and did the usual questions and was able to get my prescription for me.. BUT today was different. With alllll the craziness of 2020, they did something different which was SO cute and just such a nice gesture. I get my prescription in the little drop down box thingy and attached is this orange envelope which was weird to me because usually I just have my receipt attached. I pull forward so the car behind can get to the window and inside the envelope was a card, "happy thoughts & good vibes". We need more energy like that!

With the isle being pretty wide, it does make the place look very spacious. Isle were fully stocked which is a major plus. We all hate going somewhere to pick things up only to not have any on the shelves, ugh. Just like pretty much all the Walgreens, you have the pharmacy counter and photos. Pharmacy did have a line but it did move quite fast. The service was great. Staff were all very friendly and the store was pretty neat and clean. Fully stocked isle, so this location was quite nice.

I got excellent service there. . The pharmacy became exclusively for prescriptions filled for in house patients or something like that. So I switched to the 18th street pharmacy at Castro Street. It's been one issue after another . Never the same employees so I have no allies in the sense that someone is looking out for me. Never mind all the company policies that continue to add to the difficulty of getting my meds filled much less the untimely manner as well. I'm frustrated. I hate to give any more business to Amazon. The deli, pre-packed goods, bread, baked goods etc area was super limited - expected to find hummus and spreads here like at other locations or pretty much any grocery store in SoCal, but they like to keep you on your toes lol We were able to get help whenever we needed it and reasonable prices as to be expected. The isles are solid though some odd end caps and displays here and there. It's still got that vintage aesthetic with very modern touches I've been noticing at all Staters - mostly on the outer halves of the store. Huge parking lot with shared businesses (including a very nice carwash, fast eats and more), though not quite as big as the other Vista Chino location. I attempted to check out (store manager was checking) I advised about the price confusion, he sent an associate to verify the sign(they brought him the sign) however he stated because it was alcohol the company policy was not to make any price adjustment. I was offered 1 bottle for .99...which came off as a demeaning offer. I said no thanks and simply said I had never heard of a grocery store refusing to honor a mispriced item. I called corporate , there is no company policy regarding alcohol vs. other store items. The store has lost a good customer over $2.50, but it was the principle of the matter....I now have to drive 15 minutes further, but oh well.

She did greet me with a cheerful "good morning" when I walked through the door. She seemed somewhat busy. And I figured it was just another hurry up and get my stuff and leave. I was the third person in line waiting to pay. I was honestly amazed when she went to the check out and called the next person in line. This lady was operating two cash registers. And speaking to everyone. I was treated like a "regular" even though I had never stepped foot in the store before. As she was ringing me up for my coffee and donuts, she asked me how I was, and how my day was. This whole one minute conversation we had I felt like I was important to that business. If only other stores had employees like her. I know that 7-Eleven looks at her as a lowly little cashier. But she made a difference to me on that day. And I do hope to see her again.

Today I came in and spent too much time going through my phone and loading and uploading and moving pictures. And in the time I was here, several of the photo employees greeted me and made sure I had everything I needed. They were so friendly, and I felt super relaxed to take my time. I watched one employee talk with a customer in such a gentle way as he was helping her understand what it meant to have a family member upload a picture rather than taking a picture of a picture. It was so kind, and it's just those little acts of kindness that the world needs right now. I could tell the couple really appreciated him. Upon picking up my pictures, unprompted the employee scanned a code that gave me half off. I really appreciated that today. Thankful for this place.
