What an absolute treasure this place is! I was visiting from Chicago recently and I'm so glad I made the trip out to Tempe for this! Part thrift store, part curated goth/rockabilly/unicorn stable with a wide range of styles and sizes and an amazing friendly and supportive staff, you're going to find something here to meet your vintage look needs. GO-GO to Rocket a GO-GO. You won't be disappointed. This is my favorite store to shop at. My husband gets me the cutest gifts from here for my birthday. I ALWAYS find something that is my style. The staff is forever super awesome, and helpful! This shop has a great vibe, that makes you want to come back. I never feel pressured to buy anything. And, I always find something for any occasion. I recently stumbled in on their 50% off shirts and 25% off moving sale. I scored so many cute tops, and a vintage black dress that I went back to buy more shirts. Just couldn't pass up such a great deal on their already great priced clothing. read more

I had so much fun shopping at Rocket a Go-Go! I was in search of an outfit for a swing dance performance and the amazing team at Rocket got me fully styled from head to toe! The two owners are passionate about what they do and the sales associates were genuinely sweet and helpful. The store was very busy but they managed to greet everyone upon entering and hustled to help. I will be back for sure! There is a huge selection of new and pre-loved items including accessories, handbags, shoes and of course racks and racks of amazing clothing. The store is beautifully merchandised and organized making it easy to shop. I'll post pics of my new items which include two dresses, a gorgeous fluffy petticoat, earrings, necklace and pink rhinestone retro sunglasses! I'm pretty sure I literally squealed when they showed me the sunglasses. Great prices too. Highly recommend! read more

are you kidding me the cutest lil shop! my partner and i were visiting family in arizona about a month back and i NEEDED some retail therapy after; this store was the perfect location he found a few rings and shirts he adored and gushed about how inviting a store in arizona seemed to him. we had a long drive back to california and it was our last stop before heading back to the state border and not only did we leave with at least $100 in items EACH but they had cute little mystery bags with fun surprises that all the workers there got excited for too!! and oh my are the workers ever inviting and sweet!! they were as excited about my purchases as i was if i were any closer to arizona i'd spend my days here and it's a huge bonus that it's size inclusive too! finding alt styles above a 1x that's actually cute is such a challenge highly recommend read more

Recently, I suddenly came to the realization that fashion could be a statement, an outlet, an artform, so I begged my friend I looked up to most regarding fashion sense to teach me some lessons. I pleaded her to help me be brave and branch out more, all while trying to stay thrifty to save my bank account. With all this in mind, Rocket A Go-Go was the first place we went and I knew as we walked through their doors it was the start of a beautiful relationshop...i mean ship. I found everything I needed, we didn't need to go to another store. This women-owned and operated shop seemed to be glowing. The goth punk vibes were strong, as were the bright pin-up prints that hung on almost every rack. There were so many textures that I wasn't shy to touch. This spot celebrates it's aim for alternative clothing and inclusivity of all people, of all shapes and sizes. The website features a buzzfeed video proving it's a plus-size friendly shop: can confirm- there were many racks of multiple sizes above Large and XLarge, but I am a S-M and spent 2 hours without being able to see it all. If you are looking for something sweet and classic, or pin-up sexy, or punk-alternative this is the spot to check out. Prices range mostly from under $10-$50ish for clothing items. If you feel like you turned into the wrong plaza and it feels a bit rundown you are in the right spot. Also right next to a record shop that I hear is pretty nifty. read more

I kid you not, the employees here really make you feel like family. I'm a random shlub who doesn't know anything about fashion (or taste for that matter lol), but these people made me feel like a million bucks while being honest, upfront and 100% supportive of our whole party! This is my favorite go to place. The girls are super nice and the store carries a variety of things . Rockabilly, Psychobilly and any other alt fun wear you need. Purses, theme art such as stickers, paintings, jewelry etc. It's not commercialized and canned like other chains.. Location is tricky so keep your eyes peeled . Worth a trip;-) read more

What a unique shop. I dropped by on my most recent trip to Arizona to visit my family. The place was highly recommended by a fellow vintage enthusiast. The shop is fairly large with a wide selection of jewelry, clothing, handbags, and other accessories. The clothing is neatly organized according to size---and they have a lot to choose from for every size. Much of the merchandise is in excellent used condition, though I believe there are some new items as well. The prices are quite reasonable. The employees are super friendly and helpful. 2 years later, still love this place! They now have their own line of clothing (yes they come in plus sizes!!! I have a cherry print dress!!) and handbags! I check here first for most of my clothes and accessories! Most of my wardrobe has now come from them. Both the owners Stormy and RoseAna have touched my life significantly in just being totally accepting and helpful to me and others I have brought in the store. They always have kind words to say and a smile. Sylvia is also awesome and gives the best advice. read more

Went on my day off and the staff was fantastic ! Super helpful. You feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you walk in. Stormy and Rose were both very accommodating with my concerns and I left today with items of the exact same value that I originally purchased. This is one of my absolute favorite stores in Phoenix. I always end of coming here when I need a dress for any occasion and not once have I walked out empty handed. I love the fact that they have both second hand items and items specially bought for the store, it makes finding unique items a breeze They also are very size and shape inclusive. I often have trouble finding dresses that aren't huge at my waist and too small or revealing at the bust. Best of all, the clothes are really unique but also incredibly wearable! I never fair to get compliments when I wear anything I buy here. The staff and the owners are all wonderful as well. They have offered to help me find a dress for an occasion based on what they thought might work, which was lovely, but, they are also hands off if you prefer to just browse. read more

This place is super cute! I love the variety, but the art is my favorite part. You get your usual rockabilly ware, which I'm not a huge fan of, but you get a very metal selection as well, which is also vintage! The skulls, the monsters... the black! The prices are pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars here is that some new items are priced quite high. I know some items might be consignment (seller chooses price), so I kind of get it. The staff here, though - cutest ladies in town! They are smart, nice, and knowledgeable. I absolutely love seeing them do so well. With this selection, how can they NOT?! read more

Established in 2011.

Rocket Resale first opened its doors October 1st of 2011. The owners, Stormy & RoxAna, have always had a love for resale clothing, preferring the unique and one of a kind looks for their own wardrobes. They wanted to take their love of fearless fashion and translate it into a fun and friendly resale shop that could become a shopping staple for everyone of different generations and styles. Of course having an Eco-conscious mind they also found the idea of resurrecting unused clothing into newly loved pieces made sense. The prices were pretty good but if you found a 5 on the ticket, you got an additional 50% off. If you found a 6, it was an additional 30% off! I ended up getting 6 beautiful items for only $131! I did my calculation and it would've cost me $454 if I had paid retail. Deals on top of deals! Major score, made me very happy:) So glad I found this store and extremely happy with my purchase. What bothered me most was the feeling that I was being judged based on how I was dressed or how I looked when I walked through the door. Never judge a book by its cover. In a luxury resale business, every person who walks in should be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they arrive dressed head to toe in designer labels. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was a potential customer with legitimate high-end merchandise who wanted information about doing business with this store. Instead, I left feeling as though my questions were an inconvenience. Customer service matters, especially in a business built around people trusting you with expensive personal belongings. Based on the way I was treated, I would not feel comfortable consigning or selling my designer collection here, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this business. Did I have to dress up, park my Audi E Tron in front of the store and put on all of my diamonds to get the service or even be acknowledged walking through the door?

Now the latest thing they did, was sell a luxury item to a reseller that commented while they were closed. They never used to prioritize Instagram comments over buyers calling into the store. Several times in past years, people would comment on instagram first while they were CLOSED, and I would call in first thing to be sold the item. Then they want to claim this was never a thing lol trying to gaslight me when I had bought many items in the past by phone. To top it off, it was to a reseller lol. They dont care how loyal you've been to them. I've spent so much money over the years but this last incident was the final straw for me. There's better thrift stores around the valley, save yourself the trouble. They don't value long term customers. Edited to add: because of this recent issue that I brought up to them, they were so petty to block me on their Instagram. I never swore at them or anything lol. Avoid this business. Dawn is so incredibly unprofessional and petty to block a customer thats been shopping w them for 9 years. Not a good look at all.
