One word - integrity…read more I hired Darren to handle landscaping at a property I own in Tempe for a few years. He was always punctual, honest, and communicative. Additionally, he was proactive with his recommendations for maintenance and plant care. When I purchased another home outside of his service area, he advised he was happy to continue service my property, but understood if I wanted to find a vendor who could support both properties. Eventually I did hire a different company, but continue to refer others to him in his service area.

I should probably submit that to YELP…read more Apparently -they claim- there was some sabotage of their company in early 2023, and they couldn't unwind the mess. So they changed the name. The first few visits (as ABC) were fine, but then they went to crap about the time they say the sabotage occurred. OK...giving the benefit of the doubt, I contracted them to do clean-up and pre-emergent this month. The clean-up was not thorough. They missed two big piles of debris, possibly because they arrived late and didn't finish until after dark. The application of the pre-emergent was slip-shod. They put a dye in it, so you can see where it was applied, and where it wasn't. This was a half-assed job, frankly. And, similar to last summer when I fired "ABC", they aren't returning my texts or answering my calls, and their voicemail box is "full" per the automated message. In person, Christian is a nice guy, and seems earnest. But the way the business is run is unprofessional.

When it was all said and done, we ended up with an additional 210 square feet of new paver patio that transitions from our old patio flawlessly. They also installed artificial grass and edged it with pavers that match our patio, he prepped the rest of our yard for gravel installation (which we did ourselves) and added some decorative tree rings for us as well. We chose NuLawn because Brett was very honest and upfront with us when addressing our wants with realistic results. He also made us very comfortable with his honesty and explanation of how the project would play out.

The bids were from downright stratospheric to questionably low. Brett the owner came in and gave me a bid that I was more than comfortable with and after checking out two other jobs he completed I knew I was using the right professional for the job. On time and Brett and his crew even ran ahead of schedule. I was amazed at how much his crew could accomplish each day. He set up a time to visit our property to give us an accurate quote for a deteriorating fence wall, replacing the top course of a half wall and repairing stucco. His quote was delivered within a day and well documented with what would be delivered. Compared to the other estimates for the same work, Eli was in line with the average pricing. A little bit higher but his professionalism was a clear standout that added to the decision of selecting his company. Eli visited again to do a walk through before we signed off on the plans and payment terms. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail and in person management of ensuring we were all on the same page. He estimated the work would begin in two days and the crew promptly arrived as expected. Despite me asking for an additional piece of work, they finished on time and we're very pleased with the quality of the work. They were incredibly respectful with regular updates, requesting if it was ok to leave certain equipment overnight and keeping a clean job site. We've had other work done where we end up cleaning up after the crew but that was not our experience here. At the end of the project, they power washed everything and walked us through the project to ensure everything was to our satisfaction before final payment. Couldn't be happier with this experience, highly recommend!

Joe was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and organized from start to finish. He handled communication between us, our neighbor, and the crew seamlessly, which made the whole process so much less stressful. We…read morecontacted four companies to give us estimates for a backyard install (1100 sq/ft) and Unique was the most responsive from start to finish. Melissa came to the homesite with paper and tape measure in hand (unlike another company we had contacted). She explained every aspect of the job in exact detail, and made great suggestions on how to get the most of our yard and project. She knows her stuff!! During the three months we had to wait to close on our home, Melissa ALWAYS made herself available to answer any question and give us updates, and never once asked for a down-payment. In her words, "we work on a handshake; that's how we do business." With a closing date established, Melissa provided the project timeline. The project started on schedule and took two weeks to complete. The crew showed up on time each and every day and worked their butts off every day. Josh and his team were fantastic, always answering every question and keeping us informed. Paul, who completed the natural gas hookups, was a true professional. The finished product included a tiled patio, gas BBQ and fire pit area, two areas of artificial turf, a boulder fountain, landscape gravel, lighting, side yard pavers, and 22 plants with irrigation. Each aspect was done professionally to our 100% satisfaction. (In contrast, the horrible company that Blandford Homes used for our tiny front yard took two months and NEVER did get it right!) BTW - we can't say enough about our beautiful boulder fountain! It is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that makes the yard stand out. Ask Melissa about them, you'll love one. Unique Landscape and Design exceeded all of our expectations and was a true pleasure to work with. We are so glad that we chose them for our project. They provided a fantastic design, spent as much time as we needed discussing the project, started on time, worked day-in and day-out to get the job done as quickly as possible, and produced a yard that could be in a home magazine! We absolutely recommend this company to you!!
