Along with "We encourage the residents and business owners of Rockford, IL to also do their part by using The Postal Shoppe as their recycling center.", along with a listing if items they recycle to include toner cartridges. However, when I arrived at The Postal Shoppe, I found the team anything but friendly. At first, I was told no, they do not do any recycling. When I asked about the website, the staff told me it was "not our problem", and "we don't care", and "we are not responsible for the website". When I pressed them on the information posted on the website, they said it was probably the old owners. So, I asked when the owners changed. They said it was 5 years ago, but again they didn't care and are not responsible. This review is for the attitude of employees at The Postal Shoppe. Instead of "I'm sorry we no longer offer that service. I'll let the owner know to update the website"; it was "not our problem", and "we don't care". To the owners of The Postal Shoppe, if you no longer offer a service that listed on your website, then you should update it. Apparently, it's been at least 5 years since this service was offered. 2 minutes ago…read more Dropped off a FedEx package and got a dropoff receipt. The tracking on the FedEx website shows the package never got scanned, so there is no evidence it entered their possession. I stopped into The Postal Shoppe and asked if they could look for it. The guy was rude and unhelpful, simply insisting it was picked up and not their problem. I talked to FedEx as well, and even though they couldn't do anything for me, at least they weren't rude. Lesson learned: always drop off directly with the carrier. They scan it right then and there, and then the tracking shows they took possession. This package was for a Samsung trade-in, and I'm out $150. Never going there again.

Three of the ginormous ones, several more a little smaller. Then many regular sized front loading and top loading machines. One problem starts here with the washing machines. The very large ones don't spin well enough. If the attendant is not there to push the machine along a little at the end, you have a very damp finished load -- that requires a fortune to dry. The large dryers were also problematic, finicky. On the top, the one next in from the left does not heat up properly. The controls for multiple machines created problems for all somewhere during their attempts to use them. The other larger dryers on the other side were much easier to use, had no issues that I could see. Laundromat has a bathroom, vending machine, a dispenser for laundry supplies, as well as a small play area for children. There are several tables to fold laundry, chairs and rolling carts with the rack to hang things from. These are all clean and in good shape. The washers/ dryers use a card system. You purchase a plastic card at a vending machine by the desk, then you load it up either with cash or from a credit card. System seems to work satisfactorily. Laundromat opens at 7:00 AM weekdays. That looks to also be the best time to get the large machines. Staff assistance is only available until 11:00 AM.

Very helpful, as I hadn't done it before, and they provided not only a better base price but included more weight in that base price than any other place I contacted. The driver was careful to place it where I wanted it (on the lawn, not in the driveway), and despite my telling him that I knew it would tear the ground up upon removal they worked very carefully when picking it up to minimize any damage. I really appreciate how communicative they were when I was emailing questions and getting things set up, how courteous and professional the drivers were, and how easy the whole process was. I would definitely use them again and suggest you give them a chance to earn your business.
